History
Established in 1996.
In 1995 Tio Luis Tacos’ doors opened fulfilling the dream that he had since growing up watching his parents working hard preparing food for their taco stand back in Guadalajara, Mexico. J. Luis founded Tio Luis Tacos on the ideas of fresh, authentic, flavorful, Mexican food.
The primary goal being the treatment of each customer as friends and family by serving them good food made with high quality ingredients as he would when preparing food for his own family. The success of Tio Luis Tacos is due to a shared vision by everyone that works here and of course to you our loyal customers.

I grew up watching my parents prepare food for their taco stand, but thought I wanted something different for myself so when I was 19 I decided to search for the American dream, I came to Chicago, met my wife and had 2 children. I worked in many places but could not find satisfaction in what I was doing.
So one day of summer of 1995 with the support of my family and 15,000 in savings I started what is now Tio Luis,
During these years I learned many things that have enriched my life, but the most important was that no matter how hard it is to run a restaurant, it is very satisfying to be able to fill the espectaciones of most of our customers. So I thank God for the privilege of having lived a life full of satisfactions.
