History

Established in 2013.

The O’Keefe Cibula Group was founded in 2013 by top producing real estate brokers Samantha O’Keefe and Kevin Cibula.

Meet the Manager

Samantha O.

Manager

Samantha began her real estate career in 2001 and since then has helped her clients buy and sell over $ 120 million worth of property in Chicago’s near north and west side neighborhoods. She builds lasting relationships with clients by being honest, attentive, and knowledgeable of the vastly changing daily real estate market. Her goal with every transaction is to help people make an informed investment decision on a property in which they love to live.

Samantha has recently transitioned to a management role within the O’Keefe Cibula Group. She provides marketing, negotiating and strategic support to the team and their collective clients. She also serves as a liason between the group’s new construction development clients from procuring land to selling the final project.

Samantha grew up in Chicago’s west suburbs and moved to Chicago’s north side after graduating from the University of Illinois in 1998. She currently lives in the Logan Square neighborhood with her family.

After meeting with 3 other agents for the potential sale of my condo, Megan was recommended to me through a mutual friend. I have had multiple amazing experiences with Sam as a real estate agent. I’ve purchased two homes with her, and contemplated several others over a ten year period. She is very knowledgeable about the real estate market, and isn’t afraid to push me and my spouse as buyers to think critically about whether we think we are settling or really do want to live in the space that we think we want to live in. She was a voice of reason in remembering the things we had expressed as important to us in a home, and echoes them back to us when we’ve expressed interest in making an offer and the home may not have what we want. She also is very competent in pricing and expectations, and wasn’t afraid to tell us in our last purchase that, while she would put in any offer we were comfortable with, she thought we could go lower than we initially wanted to, based on her knowledge and feelings. We took the risk and she was correct — more than once. Real Estate can be very fast moving, and Sam has also always been very very prompt in replying to emails and phone calls, so as not to miss any opportunities. She finds a way to make things work and acts very quickly on things.
Additionally, I’ve had the opportunity more recently to work with Megan on the rental side. She knows the ins and outs of the rental market and easily found us the perfect tenants for one of our condos — meanwhile helping us along the way to determine rent and lease guidelines.
I highly recommend both Sam and Megan and feel lucky to have had the opportunity to do all my real estate transactions thus far in life through them.

Sam patiently guided us through seeing house after house until we found our dream home. We were looking across the north side in a variety of school districts and neighborhoods. Sam adjusted easily as we narrowed in on what we were seeking. She was incredibly knowledgeable on the pros and cons of different parts of the city. When we found a home that seemed good enough and met our criteria, Sam encouraged us to keep looking. After falling in love with a house Sam negotiated an incredible price for us that made our dream home a reality. During a hot market, Sam made sure we saw any new properties that interested us as soon as they were available to give us the best chance of getting the home we wanted. She made sure we didn’t miss any opportunities while still aligning the timing around our schedule. On occasion we also had the opportunity to meet others from the O’Keefe Cibula Group who were also very helpful.
Sam sold our Wicker Park condo quickly. Her team advised us to make a variety of easy, inexpensive changes that helped our condo show very well, and buyers responded exactly as she had predicted. Within the first weekend it was on the market we had multiple offers.
