The New Pindos Restaurant is operated by two sisters Donna and Debbie, who started as teens in the restaurant business as servers, many years ago. We are also very fortunate to work together with a wonderful staff.

In 1986 I started working at Pindos Restaurant for Louis and Georgia Kariofilas as a server. It was instilled in me by my parents to give 150% in any position that I worked and treat it as if it were my own. I began doing additional duties for the owner as requested. In 1991 I was assigned the title manager, as I had taken on all the responsibilities that came along with it already. In 2003 when Louis was in a position to retire, he graciously offered me a chance to buy the business and I excepted. (In the end, hard work does pay off) When I returned in 2008, in honor of the Kariofilas’ we became The New Pindos Restaurant. Many things have transpired in between which brings us here today. For those who are new to our restaurant, we look forward to seeing you again. And for our past and faithful customers, there aren’t enough words to express our gratitude. By now my love or obession with Greek Chicken Breast is on a whole new level. I may need counseling. However when Archer Ave is backed in the middle of rush hour, I shall indulge at The New Pindo’s Restaurant. I seriously drive by here once a week and it was about about time I sit down and have a meal.
The menu has a Greek Corner section with steaks and chicken, so you can’t really go wrong with that. I did glance over in the kitchen and noticed the line cook had that «i’ve been cooking for 40 years look». So it was safe to assume my meal would turn out marvelous.
The Greek Chicken Breast plate was spot on GOOD!!! The oven baked potatoes were textured perfect and not mushy. By the end of my meal I was drink the herbs and juices like it was the last supper. The Chicken Breast flavor rocked :)
Service was average, coffee refills were quick. I definitely 100% got my moneys worth. There will be a return visit, thats for sure!

A good local restaurant. Great breakfast choices. Good comfort food. If you are looking to be wowed by a celebrity chef, this is not the place for you. But if you want plentiful food and reasonable prices, try Pindos.

I like good food and appreciate unobtrusive service this place was worth every dollar the slightly expensive menu. I usually go during off peak hours, will come when I am in this area again. I am sure people used to over attentive service. would not adore.

This place was one of my favorites, not anymore. Very disappointed with the kids breakfast menu, overpriced and just not enough, a miserable sausage and small pancake for $ 5 not what I expect. Not bringing my kids here again, even they didn’t enjoy the taste of the food.

Came in to have a late lunch/​early dinner with my kids. The food was good, the service not so good. Being with children Id hope the waitress would be a bit more kid friendly. She was so cold, that alone was enough to kill the experience. Customer service goes a long way, that includes all children.

4 stars: Excellent teamwork for two ladies waitresses who took care of us!
Price fair for diner food. Food Tastes good, enjoyable, but no craving feeling I have to go back. My Mom she dined there when she was young, named place from long ago, suppose to be newly remodeled.
Seemed too impulsive that they charged automatic gratuity for 4 adults and two toddlers!!! I did not mind b/​cuz good service, just seemed unfair. Maybe there is an Asian stereotype to be cheap!!! She ended up with less… I tip more than 20% for excellent service… But I did leave few extra $$s.

Solid Old School menu of which everything we’ve had was ample and good. The homemade clam chowder was outstanding. The Rueben on Marble Rye was stacked high, lean, not salty, and tasty with done right fries. I’ve had the Turkey and Meat Loaf dinners, as well just as tasty. If you went out with Mom and/​or Pop this is the throwback you’ll love. Many of the staff from Curie H.S. also frequent this overlooked gem with easy and free corner parking for all.

When you are thinking about standard diner style food, it does not get any more solid than this place.
Here are the positives: good food, good portions, excellent value (on all menu items that I have had to date), good service, huge menu selection.
The only negative that I could even remotely think of is that the smaller parking lot fills up fast! This is really pushing it for a negative because there is ample street parking nearby.
I have been going to Pindo’s (original and new) since I was a kid in the 70’s. I will not stop.

Cousins brought me here for bfast and I was surprised with the service and the food. The place looked sort of dead for a Saturday morning, so I was sort of skeptical. Our waitress was great and the food came out super quick and the food hit the spot.

Enjoyed our meal at Pindo’s Restaurant. Service was great, people were very friendly. We had breakfast. My friend had eggs with multi-​grain pancakes and grits. I had the house omelette with multi-​grain pancakes and hashbrowns. These are some of the best pancakes I have ever had. These multi-​grain pumpkin spiced pancakes are very light and fluffy. Yum!

Decided to come for breakfast Sunday. Parking lot was full and had to park on the street. I’ve been here years ago on late nights, but apparently they aren’t 24 hours anymore.
Corned Beef Hash — My guy got this, but I guess it was ok. I took his hashbrowns and gave him my pancakes. He said their coffee wasn’t really good.
Morning Sunshine — Eggs are cooked nicely. Bacon was fine, but the sausage was a bit different than other places. These seem chubbier, but they lacked flavor.
Service was ok, but a bit lacking at times.
Overall, I think I’ll go elsewhere for breakfast.

I’ve been eating lunch here twice weekly since I now work in the neighborhood. Check the board for their specials. The fish dinners (perch, tilapia) are great. French toast with bacon will fill you up for $ 8.00. Free Wi-​Fi.

Last time I went was the worst. A lot of family and friends said the food was really good and I agree with them on that. But the waitresses were really rude. I might not go there for a while cause of that reasons only.

This place was awesome! It has everything I like in a restaurant; friendly and responsive staff, good food, large portions, and reasonable prices. I just happened to have 30 minutes to kill before practice today and thought I could go for some breakfast. I was concerned that if I stopped, I would not be able to eat in time and be late but that was not an issue here. Literally walked in, ordered an Italian omelette and coffee and was out of there in 15 — 20 minutes. The meal was good with the omelette being the highlight for me… cheesy with a good meat sauce on top and plenty of sausage, mushrooms, and peppers inside. Even the toast was pre-​buttered — a huge plus for me! the hash browns were a little underdone for future reference so be sure to order them well-​done. I will come back here now that I know about it and see what lunch looks like.

This is a nice family style restaurant in Archer Heights. Christopher had a good patty melt and I enjoyed a nice BLT Club. We brought mom home some very good home made vegetable soup. If I were in the area again, I would eat here. It is clean and has a friendly staff as well.

Pindos was originally a small restaurant back in day on the corner of Pulaski and Archer. Today it is owned by Donna who ran the restaurant for the original owners back in the day. She is a really nice character and just a delight to see. She is the type of owner that sits with you for a spell and chats about the times of the past but now runs and own the place. The food is old school. Like the Pot Roast in Gravy, although the day I picked some up, they had run out of noodles but she offered spaghetti or other types of noodles instead, plus she gave 2 pieces of her homemade cake, gotta love it. The New Pindos although it was been around for a few years now, still offers old school menu’s but with a quality that is so lacked in so many restaurants of the past. Try them, you will see what I mean, just a delight to go to and be part of the neighborhood.
