I love this place. Everyone is so nice and courteous. Diana is the best person ever. She really wants me to be okay with my hair and listens to my complicated and ridiculous descriptions of how I want my hair and somehow she understands it.
The entire place is clean and modern. I keep coming back. I really hope Diana never leaves because she is the only person who I trust with my hair.

I have been coming to this salon for about five years and I love it! When I first made an appointment, I was looking for a particular hair color that no one could get right but Diana just nailed it by mixing a secret concoction. I haven’t changed my color since! Diana is also really fun to talk to and I look forward to seeing her and the rest of the crew every month. My first year here I even got to «model» my locks at an event that she was coordinating. I am finally writing this review after the amazing work she did to my hair for my recent wedding. Also I never wear makeup and Tamara did an amazing job with it for the wedding day. I love Thairapy!

My mother and I have been coming her for ⁴⁄₅ years. Diana is amazing with hair. Whether I’m telling her what I want or whatever she thinks it always turns out epic. I currently am rocking a 90’s Winona Ryder look! It’s so awesome! Tamara too is wonderful, her brow craft is insane. I never feel like they’re too thin or too thick. I’m picky about them brows. Thairpy is wonderful. We always feel at home.

Custumer services is always great! From the moment you walk in the door. Thank you, That’s a plus for me.
I got a massage and there is not enough words to describe how much I enyoy it.
The atmosphere, from cleanlines to temperature to music was perfect.

Very professional, he knows how to make you feel confortable and very relax, he paids the utmost attention to your personal needs, mine was my back, issues because of long hours at work sitting at the computer.
I walk out feeling brand new.

I first came to this salon when I first moved here three years ago! Ever since then I kept coming back for the amazing customer service but also for the great hair stylists that work there.
I personally see Diana and she always goes above and beyond my expectations! She always recommends the best products for the season and for the type of hair.
I also have gotten chemical peels from Tamara and she’s an amazing aesthetician! She recommends what’s best for your skin!
I highly recommend this salon and all of the services they provide!

I had a great experience with Rebecca! Randomly walked in with my 5 yr old daughter for trims and we were treated like royalty. The place offers a wealth of services so it would be a great one stop shop– I’m just bummed we’re moving to the burbs right when I found this gem! Highly recommend.

My first time last week for a wax, Tamara was friendly and efficient. Looking forward to going back for a haircut and massage. Great neighborhood find!

This place is great. Friendly, and relaxing. They even give you a free drink during your haircut.
Diana cuts my hair. She is wonderful. She makes me look way cooler than I really am. She turned me from a boy to a man. If you ask for the ‘Jack Special’, she will hook you up.

I visited Thairapy Plus a few years ago, and I guess the only way to describe that experience is that I return, religiously, at least once a week. This place and these technicians, are home and family. The prices are incredible, and that old saying, «you get what you pay for» is not applicable here. I have long thick hair, and have been to each hair stylist. When I leave after a wash and blow dry, I feel horrible as I am sure the stylists are exhausted, but NEVER once has there been a complaint. I can only sing praises for this gem. Tamara is a dream when it comes to facials, waxwings, or anything to do with aesthetics. She keeps a close watch to make sure that I always look my best, and reminds me when I need to come for a visit. She will get there early, stay late, or do whatever it takes to make me look the best way I can. In fact, all the technicians at this lovely gem would do the same. Rebecca, the owner, has even come in on her days off to do my hair. And, the styles are always different, and truly stunning. Diana is a dream always trying something new, giving me that little something extra. She is a true artist when it comes to color, style and hair care. She did my niece’s hair for prom and my niece said she has never been happier with a hair style. If you want to talk about curls and braids, see my gal Carmen. I cannot put into words the magnificent work this woman can create with nothing more than a comb an her fast working fingers. Carmen also does nails and toes, along with Linda. They are perfectionists, and the care and expertise is worth triple the amount in which they charge. Paul not only does amazing hair, but the conversations are so great that I forget the time. Carrie is a sweetheart, and really does it all. She is a wife, mom, artist and a truly kind person. If looking for a massage, go see Chris. It is my understanding he is incredible. In fact, one day Rebecca was finishing up a client, and the client was having a rough day. Out of the blue, Rebecca had Chris give the woman a neck massage as a gift before she left the boutique. This just describes how much these people care. They really really care. These lovely people work as a team, and are loving to each other. Walking in the door to this lovely place, everyone is treated like a celebrity, or a family member. I leave my cares at the door walking in, and when walking out, I don’t have a care in the world. I feel like a model or movie star. When I return home on the night of my visit to Thairapy, my seven year old son always says, «Mom, did you go to Thairapy today, you look great!» I own a little vintage shop down the street, and it is a ton of work and very hard. These people make running a successful business look like a piece of cake. They have been in business ten years now, and that alone speaks for itself. Oh, and the best thing, if you refer someone you get a discount on your next visit, and everyone on their first visit gets a special discount. Who does that… Thairapy Plus!

At the recommendation of my good friend Val D. I decided to give Thairapy a shot. I called on the fly, and was able to book a cut and color with Shay. She’s relatively new to the salon and fantastic. Give her a shot.

This review is for the pedicures by Carmen. She is so good that she could keep you from the podiatrist’s knife (for toe nail problems, at least).
The worst part about her pedicures is the sadness I have that no one else can match her.

Ya know how sometimes you go into a salon or spa and feel uncomfortable because everyone is kinda snooty? We’ll NOT here! This staff is probably some of the friendliest I’ve ever met. If you need pampering and a glass of wine then this the place! I got my hair foiled and cut by Paul and I left feeling like a million bucks.

Hair, to us girls, it’s a sacred thing. Your stylist ends up knowing you better than some of your own friends. Outside of retaining a general knowledge base of your life, she has to know what to do with the mop on your head, so that you walk out feeling like a full on goddess.
Enter Diana. This gal– let me tell ya.
She’s such a bad-​ass that Wella hires her as an independent consultant. She has salvaged me from brink of catastrophe, to full on bombshell. All with a smile on her face (and barely breaking a sweat)
There’s nothing pretentious about the salon– why does that matter? Cause these miraculous feats of hair– they require work, and time. You’ll be there for a while, in good hands in good company is the ONLY way to do it. (Not to mention a glass of wine)
Let’s be real– you get what you pay for. Thairipy is worth every penny, and a hefty tip.

I can’t say enough great things about this establishment! First, Linda and Emily make you feel so welcome! Always a great sign to have an amazing welcome from calling for an appointment to the greeting at the door.
Rebecca, the owner… Is so personable and genuinely kind. As are the staff in entirety. Tamara does a kick butt job on brows and skin, Carmen gave me the best french manicure I’ve ever had in my life and does great hair to boot! Paul… Oh Paul… I love him. He listens to my stories gives me belly laughs and exudes positivity. He also gives an incredible blowout! Diana… Wow! This woman has talent. I’ve seen her work on me and updo pics and her talent is just outstanding. She also teaches for the Wella line. Kerry… Gave me a beautiful blowout today. Cheered me up and is great at her craft and also genuinely sweet. I loved my experience with her. Everyone here is extremely talented!!! I hope I didn’t miss anyone but, everyone needs to know we have a diamond in the ruff here in North Center. Close to the brown line too. I love Thairapy!!!:-)

I live in South Carolina and I fly here to get my hair cut… need I say more ??? Paul and Rebecca are renowned and legendary in Chicago. Whether it’s a cut, a color, or a spa pampering, THIS is the place to go!

So there is a part of me that doesn’t want to write this review because I don’t want people to know about this spot but here goes.
I have now been to Thairapy twice for cut and color — Kerry was recommended to me by a good friend and let me tell you, she did not disappoint. I have been cursed with significant amounts of gray hair since I was 18 so regular hair coloring is a part of my life. I had been going to a different salon for the past several years and just felt like my look needed some new oomph. Kerry helped me select a beautiful color that, while natural looking, gave me the punch that I was going for. So, terrific color — and add that to a fabulous haircut — five stars all the way.
What really sold me on this salon, however, was not just the haircut. Kerry is a great person — and so are the rest of the people who work here. When you walk in, you feel like you are Norm from Cheers. Everyone greets you, everyone is friendly, and they offer you wine with your styling services. Nothing like kicking back on a Thursday night with some cool people who beautify you and help you relax.
I would highly recommend this salon to anyone — just don’t take my appointment time!

I generally go 4 – 6 months between hair cuts. When I moved to Chicago I was in this range and put off a trim for a while longer. When I finally bit the bullet, I was thrilled that I chose Thairapy. The first thing they asked me when I entered was if I would like a beer. Then I described how I don’t do much grooming before work and they took over from there. The cut turned out great, and I learned a few tips for making myself look exceptionally nice for special events.
I’m not sure if I will try any of the other services from any provider, but If I decide I want a spa treatment I will certainly choose Thairapy.

I come here regularly, and Diana is my stylist. She does an amazing job. I really don’t need to give too much direction, I just let her do her thing and it comes out perfect every time.
Everyone is pretty great here, and the atmosphere is very relaxing and laid back. I would recommend this place to all of my friends.

Listen if you don’t know, now you know… Cause I’m telling you Thairapy is where it’s at a non-​pretentious, welcoming, comforting, quality service, & feels like home type of atmosphere.
My first visit was on a whim just over a year ago with Carmen for a pedicure, having had my nails done a trillion times I must say this girl has skills & it’s why I drive from the south-​side to go see her every time I get the chance. She’s super thorough, super clean & really down to earth. Bonus, it’s only $ 40 for a 45 minute pedi at a lovely nook in the back of the salon where I’m not being f’in factory lined in & out like those other places.
Tamara, their esthetician. I like her, a lot. Sweet, not pushy at all, knowledgable & talented indeed!
Super impressed, I haven’t tried their hair services but, by the looks of it I’m sure they’re top notch in that category too!

I have a bad habit of being very vague with hair stylists, like «oh I just want a trim» or «I want it to be reddish brownish». Luckily, Paul is a serious hair wizard and in true HAIRy Potter (couldn’t resist) fashion he gave me the most magnificent cut and color!
Do yourself a favor and ask for him! Your hair (and everyone who has to see it) will thank you!!!
