I went to this place and figured I would try the espresso. It was terrible. How can a place that sells coffee make such terrible espresso? Was it always this way?

This is an excellent neighborhood Starbucks. In the mornings you’ll find old men reading the paper, young professionals getting coffee before work, and parents with kiddos on the way to school. This is a Starbucks where people gather and hang out and also perfect when you need coffee quickly. Food/drinks: You can get everything here. They’re well stocked with to-go foods(wraps, sandwiches), the usual pastries and desserts, and they have the small plate options(mac and cheese, etc). They even have wine(!) and recently added delish chocolates from local boutique Vosges(awesome). Location: There’s a bus stop(22, 36) right across the street and in front of the store. Great spot if you’re meeting someone or need a drink for the ride. Staff: I’ve lived across the street for almost two years and the manager and two of the baristas have always been there. Drinks come quickly and the manager will remember your order if you’re a regular. Good service, nice people. Interior: Lots of seat options. Small and large tables. A few booth-type seats along the wall. High top tables and a really nice row of bar stool seats along the window that look out to Clark street(good people watching). It’s always clean. Downside: They close a little early(9/930pm), although they do open around 5am, and don’t have decent outdoor seating. Overall, this is an excellent Starbucks!

I love this Starbucks! It’s down the street from my apartment and has plenty of seating available. I usually bring with my iPad or laptop and I have found the internet at this Starbucks location to be some of the fastest free wifi I have ever experienced at a Starbucks. This makes this Starbucks a popular location for people studying, etc. which can sometimes make it difficult to find a free table on a weekend or weeknight. Plus it is about a mile from DePaul so I’m sure plenty of students live close by. Try not to sit anywhere near the door on the NW corner of the store as whenever the door opens you’ll get quite a chill on a cold day.

Ordered my favorite Starbucks dessert – the lemon pound cake – and it was dry and stale. And it was only 1:00 pm. Very disappointed.

I ordered a venti chai tea latte with one shot of espresso(aka«dirty chai») and not only was it barely 2⁄3 full, the drink was extremely watered down and tasted awful. It seemed like the barista was a trainee as she kept asking questions and didn’t know how to finish the drink. After seeking assistance, another barista told her to «just add water.» While I probably should have tried the $ 6 drink before leaving the store, it was far too crowded to attempt a return anyway. With the opening of Peet’s coffee just down the road on Clark, the quality of Starbucks’ drinks(at this location) needs to be better or they will definitely lose me as a customer. This is not the first chai that has tasted off either so hopefully I’ve just been unlucky a few times with the barista making my drink.

I live around the corner from this Starbucks. As an avid coffee and tea drinker and a genuine Starbucks lover, I want it to be better so bad. the wifi is EXTREMELYEXTREMELYSLOW… like anxiety provoking slow. A few of the times I have been here they have completely botched my order(giving me milk when I am lactose intolerant– AKA messing up my entire day… and body) not cool. But the staff is always friendly so I guess they get points for that.

This Starbucks seems like it’s always busy. I came here to study with my boyfriend and it was packed the entire day we were there(we were there for probably 6+ hours). It’s a pretty big Starbucks, so there is a lot of seating, but I have a feeling that a lot of students study here, so you might not be able to find a spot. Service and drinks-wise, this Starbucks is pretty standard. Nothing super bad, but nothing super amazing either. The staff are about as friendly as any other Starbucks. Oh, one thing I noticed was that the bathrooms are right behind where they store a lot of the foods and stuff, which I thought was weird. The workers go in and out of that same area to in and out from behind the counters. I just thought the bathrooms were a little close to the food for my taste(no pun intended).

Quick service… clean…much larger than expected… stood in a long line that moved rapidly… with no attitude or lack of customer service from baristas: great job staff. Next time I’m in that particular area of Lincoln Park, I’ll swing bye again. BTW, experienced no delays w/wifi: considering that most patrons where online, I was pleasantly surprised.

I am subleasing on the block for a month and so this Starbucks has been my office of choice. Great layout; always a seat; always an outlet. But this staff lacks the warmth and attention to service of most Starbucks. You want to see some good Starbucks customer service? Check out the DePaul Starbucks on Fullerton!

A pretty big Starbucks with plenty of seating and a prime location. Busy but not overwhelmingly crowded.

This Starbucks is very convenient to my office. the staff are attentive and quick and I much prefer this Starbucks to the nearby Caribou. It’s a win in my book.

Good place to work. Staff can be unfriendly, but good people watching and a decent amount of seating. It tends to get too cold in there. I suspect they change the temperature around to get rid of people, but I just take a jacket.

I’ve been at this location a couple times and it’s usually rather busy. The staff here is rather jovial and seems like they want to make sure that you walk out happy which just isn’t the case anymore with the lack of fabulous customer service these days. Now go get your java on!

Have they remodeled this since I moved from LP in 08? It seems so much more spacious. I used to pop in here with a stroller fairly regularly. It sucked. Now, I only pop in when I’m passing through the area. There’s juuuuuuust enough space for about 2 cars to park(illegally) on Deming and run in for a quick latte. Not bad!

I was surprised by how happy the staff seemed — it was really nice. People were smiling, which was awesome. I ordered an iced tea lemonade, which was tasty… but really small. I realize I ordered a tall, but the beverage was ¾ full of ice. So, there really wasn’t much of the actual beverage in my cup. The store itself was pretty nice. It was surprisingly quiet, so I’d imagine it would be great for studying.

coffee was as ordered … I thought the Venti cup seemed light … but I was in a hurry and didn’t check til I got to the Walgreens up the street. it was light because it was HALFFULL. Can’t go back because I have to go to work. I really can’t go back because you don’t get a receipt to show what you paid for — and really — it’s my word against theirs. Check your cup before you leave — they REALLY short fill here. I paid for a Venti … I got a Tall(small).

You know when you hear the words, «Premium, Top-Shelf, Luxury?» That’s how I feel about this Starbucks… …It’s like everything you would want in a Starbucks… tons of seating, lots of room, really clean, gorgeous people… wait, just me? Cmon, you know the best part of Starbucks is the people-watching. Then those mini cupcakes. But I digress… If you are looking for a Starbucks in Lincoln Park come to this one. It’s the best, the biggest, the«Top-Shelf» Starbucks if you will.
