Absolutely LOVED the results from my service. I was nearly unable to shave my underarms due to razor burn and there was nothing I could do to help. I have fair skin and light hair, so this seemed uncommon and I did not initially consider Laser Hair Removal until I spoke with the manager about possibly purchasing a product to help. She urged me to Laser Hair Removal and it has changed my life. I am so grateful I can now expose my underarms without embarrassment.
Since my results from Laser Hair Removal, I have tried Micro Needling which I loved as well. My friends and family noticed the results before I mentioned anything to them, which was truly surprising. I cannot rave enough about the service, informative and enjoyable staff and overall Spa experience at SpaDerma. A definite recommendation!!!

Tara is phenomenal! I followed her from the previous place she was at, and I will follow her across the country if I have to! I was referred to her from a friend because I got acne that popped up out of nowhere the day I turned 30. I never had acne in all my life, so I had NO IDEA what to do about it. Tara did a deep cleansing facial with a chemical peel, and immediately my skin felt and looked better than it had in months. I have seen her religiously now for the last 4 years, and receive tons of compliments on my skin for weeks after! She’s really the best!

Love SpaDerma! I just finished my full body laser package and am thrilled with the results. Christina was super upfront with the results that I could expect for the 6 sessions in the package. She made it clear that I may have better results in some areas because of the color and density of the hair. I made monthly payments so it was very affordable for me and worth every penny! All of my friends in the city go here. It’s the best!

I have come to SpaDerma for laser hair removal, facial /​skincare services, and IPL photofacials. I have always been very happy with the results. Over the years I have been treated by different technicians and aestheticians and every one of them have been professional, very friendly, and never have I felt pressured to purchase additional services or products. Front desk staff are also always friendly and courteous. I have never had to wait more than 5 minutes past my appointment time and usually have been seen on time. I have recommended SpaDerma to several friends because of the very positive experiences I have had and also SpaDerma has great promotions especially for laser services.

I have been coming to Spa Derma for over a year now for laser hair removal on my underarms. Spa Derma’s technicians are really friendly, and are always on time for their appointments. However, after a year of treatment, I am not seeing the results I was hoping for. I have spent over $ 400, and am still shaving almost every day. Do not expect the results to last long, or to even see much reduced hair. I was told I am the «ideal» candidate too, but still did not see great results. Even after mentioning to the technician that I was not seeing the results I was hoping for, they kept saying I would only need a few more extra treatments and it would be gone… And after paying for extra sessions, I still haven’t noticed any changes. I would not recommend coming here for laser hair removal because the results (if any) are not worth the price.

Sarah Christensen is excellent. She is knowledgeable, professional, and takes time to explain procedures and to offer recommendations. I highly recommend.

I had an excellent facial, and came back a couple more times for a microdermabrasion treatment. My skin felt great and was smooth and reformed after going.

Claire is THE BEST!!! I was referred here by a friend, and am so happy with results of laser hair removal. Claire is professional, friendly, and makes you feel totally comfortable. They usually run on time so you don’t have to waste time waiting. One thing I really appreciate about this place is they don’t constantly try to upsell. They let you know your options and what’s available, but don’t pressure you into making any additional purchases. Keep an eye on their facebook page or website, they usually run pretty good specials. I plan to come back for other services when I’m done with my laser treatments. I also love that it’s just a couple blocks off the purple/​brown line, it makes it easy to pop in after work. I’ve been to many med spas in Chicago, this one outshines all the others by far. This is the only place in the city I would recommend to others for any type of med spa service.

My skin has never looked better! Micro-​Needling has transformed my usually dull, lifeless complexion. My products absorb better now and my skin looks soft and healthy. I was pink for maybe a few hours after the treatment and that was it. Definitely do them in a series to get the full results however I liked the results even after the first one. Definitely try it out!

I went in for a facial and was greeted immediately. I looked over the options and was loving the prices! It is way more expensive in my hometown:(The atmosphere was relaxing and I thoroughly enjoyed my experience. I look forward to my next appointment

I went using a gilt city coupon — I had a spa facial and my technican was busy up selling products to answer questions I had on my skin. Adding insult to injury I purchased a very expensive over $ 300 serum that was opened and when I tried to exchange for a new one the said no.
Lots of wonderful places in Lakeview I would not waste my time on this salon — also as mentioned in previous reviews front desk staff not helpful at all.

After coming here since August every 6 weeks for laser sessions, I am seeing results for minimized hair growth. I love the lightsheer duet laser they use. It is worth it when they have good promotions going on! The chemicals peels are expensive. The main thing that I do not like is that the duration of the appointments are rushed and they do their darn best to try and sell more packages.

Love this salon and it’s atomosphere. I had a great laser treatment with Alison. She is also very responsive to any questions I have after the procedure. I just wished that experienced ethniticians would accept discount packages. I understand groupon’s but they do not accept other discount packages through the salon which doesn’t make sense to me. Other than that, highly recommend.

Overall, my experience at this venue and with its technicians has always been pleasant, informative and professional. I appreciate that my particular laser hair removal technician was so polite and lovely, and usually very timely with my appointments. I’ve even referred friends to this medical spa.
The main reason for my downgraded review are my results (or lack there of) after 12 treatments on my underarms and about 9 – 10 around my belly button, spanning over a year (15 months to be exact) and costing well over $ 400. I was told that I am the «ideal laser hair removal candidate» because I have extremely fair skin and dark brown-​black hair, but well, I currently shave my underarms every other day out of sheer necessity. All that time and money later, I still have at least 70% of my underarm hair coming in at full-​force.
Ultimately, I’m not sure the loss of my time and $ 400+ was worth it, and I feel pretty sad about that. Therefore, if you’re thinking about spending your hard-​earned money on this procedure, at this location, I’d suggest you take my experience into consideration – you might end up in the same boat.

People answering the phone should have professional phone manners…
Receptionists can either loose a potential client, or will make a client come in…
Some people who answers the phone are not courteous, polite and not respectful…
Some are pushy… And not listening to what the client needs…
They should be reminded that clients brings profit to the company, and every client contributes to pay everyones salary who works in company…
Wether a client can afford or not, receptionist should be understanding and not be judgemental.
And please, let them loose that arrogant attitude. They complain a lot even in the clients presence… I think that if they don’t like their job, they should find another one.
Lastly, the people who does the services are there to help clients to achieve their personal goals. Lately, they’re just in a hurry, and push push push any treatments just to sell… To obvious.

I bought a Groupon for Laser Hair Removal after struggling with dark hair and pale skin. (which turns out is the best combo for laser.)
I had no idea how awesome it would be! Within 2 weeks, all the hair was gone! I have never been so excited about hair loss in my life! lol. I might be addicted now, because I want to laser everything!
The pain was super minimal, think of it as a warm pinch. Holly was my technician and she made me feel super comfortable.

Friendly staff, clean facility, easy booking.
