History
Established in 2003.
Our story starts with my grandfather, Lawrence Mathieu, who was the oldest of ten children. He was taken out of school in third grade to work in the fields and help support his family. When he was a teenager, an old local man named Eugene Lee started teaching Lawrence the art of the Traiteur.
People would come to him for healing and he would use the teas and salves, hold their hands and say a prayer. He would touch the ailment and massage the location using his potions. He passed these healing powers to my mother, a holistic healer and massage therapist. I carry on the healing tradition through this line of all natural products for the bath & body.
The age-old practice of using plant essences in poultices and meditation continue to be a way of life in the traditional and mysterious South to soothe the mind, body, and spirit. Today, with the increased stresses we encounter. It is most important to stop, take time to relax, reflect and… Soothe Your Senses.
