I’m the operations director of a tech company in the Fulton Market neighborhood. After the building was renovated we had a big problem with employees complaining about heat and glare issues in their office.
Illinois Window Shade Company provided a perfect window shade solution at a fair price. The guys were super knowledgeable and professional (on time, cleaned up after themselves, etc.) plus they’re a local business, which I value. I’d recommend them to anyone.

We were in need of approximately nineteen window treatments; Bill and Andrew came out within hours of calling for an estimate (this was impressive in itself, as the other companies we considered had a scheduled a week out). I was impressed with their promptness and knowledge of various treatments and in the end we wound up with some great sun-​blocking shades, made custom in their local Chicago shop. These guys were professional from beginning to end and I cannot say enough how much we appreciated their assistance through the entire process. Pricing is super competitive as well. I would definitely recommend Illinois Window Shade Company!

I walked into the showroom on Broadway about 2 months ago to get a price on 14 custom made window shades the girl at the counter took my info & said someone would call me by the end of the day… well I waited about a week then I called back same person answered the phone I told her I was the guy from last week Yada Yada she remembered me & acted surprised no one called me so she took my info again. So I waited 3 days called back asked for the manager she said he wasn’t there & took my info again… I waited one day & ordered $ 2300.00 worth of shades from another company. I picked this company because it was local & close to my house but obviously their customer service and follow up is horrible.

My experience with Illinois Window Shade Company was positive all around. They specialize in motorized roller shades, but they carry several other types of window treatments as well. My wife and I went with honeycomb shades for our bedroom windows at home, one of which is also a balcony access door. Their customer service was extremely helpful. Our balcony access door was kind of a tricky set up but the sales rep was a total pro and came up with a perfect solution. Yeah, the pricing was higher than the others but their expertise was well worth it.
I’d recommend Illinois Window Shade Company without hesitation.

We’ve used this company for over 20 years and have found their customer service to be superb. They are reasonably priced and do very good work– always on time and professional. They can easily work with your decorator, etc. Ask for Joe!
