Friendly family-owned store that covers the basics just fine. Don’t expect it to be a discount house, however. It’s close by and its convenient.

When my partner is cooking dinner and realizes he forgot an item, I simply walk a block to Sheridan Park Food & Liquor’s to prevent an outrage. They have the majority of necessary food items like alcohol, milk, sour cream, flour, chips, candy, and more. Not to mention the various Puerto Rican items like yuca and CocoRico pop, thanks for the Puerto Rican owners. The interior usually smells of a mix of cat litter and cigarette smoke, but my visit is usually a quick one. Every so often there are some interesting characters standing outside, but they usually don’t do much harm, so no need to worry.

Close and convenient for me so it’s nice to have access to a small but decent beer selection.

This is a nice little shop owned by a Puerto Rican family, with some decent prices, and enough beer, booze, and snacks to keep your party going. Some highlights include the birds, the sweet old ladies who usually run it, and exciting products like canned yuca, malta, and coconut soda.
