Saying that I LOVE this store is an understatement. Every time I shop here, I find a gem and EXACTLY what I am looking for and more — whether it be an outfit for a date, a gala event, a summer day, or something just because, I find it! But, not without the help and careful advice of the store owner. She is great! SPOT ON! Every time I go in her store, I feel like I’m shopping with a good friend or my very own personal shopper.

I followed Savvy Seconds after the move from it’s old location in Lincoln Square. It is always my go to place when I want to buy beautiful well made clothing for under $ 35 .I always get compliments on what I find here and the clothes are in perfect condition.
I have scored 2 fabulous BCBG dresses here and a Betsy Johnson dress, a black hooded linen jacket, vintage blue velvet mini dress and great tops here.
Every time I come here I get to do my own fashion show and Kristin and my mom give me honest feedback. I never can leave without an item and I always have a fabulous time looking at all the beautiful choices.
If you want to have a fun shop, get beautiful well stitched /​good fabric/​expensive brands and not spend half as much as buying new this is the place to go. It’s good for the environment!

I just found this GEM of a store near the Andersonville neighborhood in Chicago. Christin has curated a perfect blend of modern and vintage in this neighborhood consignment shop. She is off the beaten path and yet when you walk in you feel at home

The owner was super kind and like everyone else states she has a good eye for fashion and quality and unique vintage clothing she will even give you advice on how to wear something. And as a petite person i was happy to see a good mix of pants, dresses and tops that fit me. A great contribution to the north side! Will be back for sure!

I had the best experience here! I have a wedding in 3 days and was looking for something that wouldn’t break the bank. I read some of the other reviews and decided this place would be a great fit for me. I was not disappointed! When I walked in Christin greeted me and asked if I was looking for anything in particular. I let her know I was looking for a wedding this weekend and she immediately started pulling things. I had a mix of around 15 dresses, including a few vintage items. I only tried on 3 things because I knew I had found the one with the first dress I tried! It is a perfect gold vintage piece. It fit like a glove and I can’t wait to show it off this weekend! Christin also found me a great pair of heels and threw them in with a discount! I would recommend this store to any of my friends!!!

The clothes were adorable and affordable but I think I was expecting the kind of attention from the person working there that others had mentioned in their reviews. I got a «hello» and that was about it for conversation. I left with nothing and probably would have bought something had the person working there been a bit more attentive.

It took me a few visits to this shop to pinpoint why I think it deserves 5 stars. First of all, you feel compelled to check out the place because the merchandise in the windows are displayed like a cute lil vintage dress shop. But upon entering and looking around you realize that the vintage pieces have been meticulously inspected and are in superb condition. In my experience, vintage «boutiques» are smelly and you have to search thru rack upon rack of clothes that leave you wanting to wash your hands immediately and wasting so much time inspecting them for tears, stains or bad alterations. You won’t find this at Savvy Seconds. The owner Christin is so friendly and you can see her passion for style in the way she herself dresses and in the quality of merchandise she re-​sells. If you love vintage retro chic glam yet classy sophisticated one of a kind pieces, then you need to shop here. Christin has already done the time consuming dirty work of inspecting each and every item to bring you a true Vintage Clothing Boutique. Oh, and let me finish by telling you that what completes my 5 star review is that the price point is so affordable, you’ll feel like the ladies in that Marshall’s commercial when their jaws drop upon seeing the low price tag. Oh yeah and she even has the sweetest lil pooch that welcomes you when you enter!

Christin has a keen eye for quality and fashion.
She is honest, friendly and she knows what will look good on you. I love shopping here as much as I love stopping in to say hi and sell my clothes. Hands down the best store in the city to sell your high end clothing. Christin will give you 25% of what she sells your clothes for in cash or 50% in store credit. Her taste is so superb and the clothes in her store are so tempting that I often choose the latter when I’m not pinching pennies… and it’s so worth it.
Also…who doesn’t love shopping at a store where you can get:

3. Kisses and snuggles from the cutest dog in town!!!

This store is a gift from the affordable vintage clothing gods. I am vintage clothing obsessive, but I can’t afford 150 dollars for a top, Ya know? This store has BEAUTIFUL MERCHANDISE, you can tell the owner is selective with what she sells. Seriously divine merchandise. The prices are as reasonable you will find for quality vintage merchandise. I’m still in college and this store fits my budget.
The shop owner, Kristin, is a bubble of joy. If you don’t leave with clothes, you will with a smile anyways. Just a mile from the overpriced vintage stores in Andersonville, this place is a MUST go. I left with a summer wardrobe with some extra cash for beer and lunch :)

This store is an amazing addition to the Ravenswood neighborhood. Cristin (store owner) is super sweet and takes pride in putting together unique pieces throughout the store. Follow her on instagram for sneak peaks of her great selection.

ln addition to all the wonderful things people say about the store design and the care that goes into picking clothes (even if they’re not your style you can appreciate the effort that must go into the ever-​expanding range of merch), I think it’s also important to add how honest Cristin is: when she says she gives you 25% of what she plans to sell something for, she’s telling the absolute truth. I really appreciate that.
I wasn’t sure how to read her the last few times I was in, but today i found myself in a different circumstance: I told her I was disappointed with her offer. She put down what she was doing, looked me straight in the eyes, and said, «I don’t want to disappoint.» I could tell she meant it. It’s apparent how much she really cares about her business and her reputation. That one moment went a long way with me. Lots of respect here.
