Description

Specialties

Quennect 4, aka Q4 or Que4, is an independently-run organization focused on celebrating diversity through art and music. We also run a multi-use space for various events and art exhibitions.

Our mission is to support local artists and musicians, and seek opportunities to collaborate with other organizations for the betterment of our community. We work hard, we play hard, and we are passionate about bringing people together through different forms of expression.

History

Established in 2004.

Chicago — Jul 2013 — John Ibarra in a follow-on to his urban youth enterprise campaign, has teamed up on Chicago’s west side on Milwaukee Avenue on Augusta called Quennect4 or Q4 for short with Multikulti. Drawing on local resources and grit and his ‘fam’, his new hang-out is gaining quite a bit of popularity as well as visibility having now hosted several relatively high profile events for public out-reach and awareness. Sponsoring non-smoking campaign, dance troops and ‘open-mic’ along with Q4 Radio, John says he see the coming together of many things that he had worked on over these last several years. Mr. Ibarra is definitely the brains behind these operations and refuses to lay any blame for failure on anyone other than himself for why his other projects did not quite take off. «They were just things I did to learn how to do it right with the right people and contacts». John has several events planned for this summer.
