History

Established in 2003.

The concept of Prink is simple; an urban hair studio existing to cultivate knowledge and skills with personalized service and lasting client relationships. Formerly known as Prink Salon, it was listed among the best for color in Chicago Magazine, InStyle, and Women’s Wear Daily. But the skills and experience are certainly not limited to color. Whether cut, color, or style, great attention to detail will be applied while working with head shape, hair texture and color (natural or enhanced) for a flawless total package. In 2012 owner and operator Rachel G. moved Prink into a studio space in downtown Chicago to focus solely on servicing her loyal clientele (some of whom travel from out of state or even out of the country to return to her.) Rachel’s vast experience makes her an expert with both long and short hair for both women and men. Working independently, Rachel happily accepts new clients, offers complimentary consultations, and works by appointment only.

PRINKstudio is exclusively owned and operated by

independent stylist and colorist Rachel H Glenn.

Rachel has earned a reputation for some of the best cut and color work in Chicago. She has been cited in Chicago Magazine, InStyle, Women’s Wear Daily Salon, Marie Claire and in professional publications such as Modern Salon, and American Salon magazines. Rachel’s professional experience spans nearly 20 years from stylist, salon owner, to a leading industry educator for major companies such as Wella/​Sebastian, L’Oreal/Matrix, and Kevin Murphy.

Rachel is known for her attention to detail, her in-​depth knowledge of hair color, and her ability to harmonize shape, color, and texture. As a plus, her extensive background in communication and public speaking sets her apart in her ability to listen and build long lasting relationships with her clients.
