This place is very chill, drinks are budget friendly, and I know for a fact the standard pour they use is one full shot plus a little on top(I maaaaay have watched the bartender pour every time, just saying). The owner is super friendly, he seems to know everyone that comes through the door. I like it there because the variety is nice and the drinks are cheaper than the super trendy neighborhoods. If there is a guy behind the bar, that’s the owner! Ask him for an oatmeal cookie shot! Tally Ho is NOT a fussy or hipstery place(seriously, regular cocktails and beers) but I saw another girl order one from him and it looked so good I had to try it. WORTHIT. I’ve heard there’s a dj on the weekends, putting it on my to-check-out list.

I frequented this bar 35 years ago when I went to school in Evanston. Time has not been kind to the Tally Ho. It is a dive, and not in a quaint, fun way. Drinks are small, poorly made, and surprisingly expensive. Jukebox is $ 1 per song, so the bar is quiet and mostly devoid of patrons. Someone who gives a shit should buy this place, as it is well positioned to take spill-over traffic from nearby establishments that get crowded.
