I’ve been going to her for a few years. I’ve had no problems.

Dr Griem is so funny! The entire office is like hanging out with your mom’s cool girlfriends. She was very thorough. She is at 25 E Washington now. Her staff is great and she addressed all my issues.

Although the office staff is super nice, I was really upset to wait 40 minutes past my appointment time with Dr Griem – without an estimate of how much longer I’d need to wait, and without an apology from the doctor.
I had to leave to get back to my office, and I felt very frustrated to have waited so long and not been able to see a doctor.
The receptionist was very nice, but I was very disappointed with Dr. Griem.
My earlier visit with Dr. Shanker went smoothly though.

Dr. Griem has been my dermatologist for over 5 years. She removed a basal cell from my leg, a few other skin growths, and evaluated me for rosacea.
She is also my daughter’s dermatologist. My daughter developed a persistent skin eruption after her 9 month set of vaccines that would not resolve. I took my then 10 month old daughter to Dr. Griem’s office. Brenda is the main receptionist and she made my young daughter feel comfortable by coming around the desk and sitting with us in the waiting room. The other support staff were also very welcoming to my daughter who was very nervous in a doctor’s office. Dr. Griem diagnosed the skin eruption as a vaccine reaction and sent a note to my pediatrician with her findings and her recommendations regarding future vaccine precautions. I was very happy with this level of follow through.
Last year, I developed an extremely painful rash on my leg and was able to reach Dr. Griem in the evening by phone. She quickly made a diagnosis of shingles based on my description. I was not able to accept her offer of an appointment the next day in Indiana but I had an appointment with my internist in Chicago for the skin issue. Dr. Griem told me what to tell my MD and was available by phone to my MD in case there were any questions the next day. Again, I was very happy that Dr. Griem helped coordinate care with another doctor and expertly diagnosed my problem. I had been in a lot of pain for several days and Dr. Griem’s advice helped me find the solution quickly and took a load of worry off my mind.
I cannot recommend her highly enough to anyone needing a dermatologist. Her office staff is wonderful as well, especially Brenda!!!

I recently seen Dr. Greim for a mole and she took the time to look at it and removed it and called me personally a week later to give me the biospy results she was very compassionate and caring.

I had to have my regular annual mole check and had some other annoying skins issues, so I decided to try someone close to work. I made called to make an appointment and got in two days later, so I thought, «Great!» But maybe there’s a reason I was able to get in so soon.
First, got there 5 minutes before my appointment and filled out all the necessary paperwork. They kept me in the waiting room for about 20 minutes — which is fine, I always expect a wait. They finally called me into an examination room. I waited there for over 50 minutes! Seriously, no magazine, no newspaper, nothing! Just me, the table, and my quickly dissovling patience.
So after all that waiting, and me getting seriously cranky now, she finally comes in. Doesn’t apologize that she has now made me wait an hour + after my scheduled appointment. I try to relax and figure, hey, maybe she’s really thorough and just got caught up with another patient.
She askes me a few questions, tells me to take off my top (I have LOTS of moles) and does what seems to be a pretty good inspection. However, there is one particular mole that every previous dermatologist has always «tsked tsked» about and she just kinda looked at it and passed over it. (I have had it forever so I know it’s not a real issue, but it looks funny enough for all other drs. to take pause — why not her?) She instead concentrated on my scalp. (really?) She never even saw my legs, even though I told her I had moles there too. She just asked if they had changed. I told her I didn’t think so but I have so many, it’s hard to keep track of all of them. Don’t you think she would have checked those out too?
Then she told me I have a few questionable moles in other areas. I waited to see what she would recommend and … nothing. Absolutely nothing. I asked should they be removed. she looked at me like I was crazy to ask her this question. She gave me the ABC’s of mole checking on my own and said if I see changes, to come back. I asked about my other pesky problems and got similar non-​advice. I walked out with nothing but a wasted 2 hours. Seriously… I’m considering going to another dermatologist just for peace of mind.
She’s definitely an odd cookie. She seems nice enough, but her focus is so strange — my scalp? And her dismissing the mole all other doctors loved to hate was very concerning. Plus, she can’t look you in the eye for some reason. Then at the end of the appointment, she sits there typing away and I’m sitting there like, are we finished? I guess we are.
