My husband, baby and I got a family portrait done and it was absolutely a pleasure to work with the team and the picture turned out beautiful.

Our experience with Marc Hauser Portraits was incredible. We thought we were just going to get a family picture taken, but instead also got to tour a photography museum. The candid pictures of famous and not so famous people and places were so cool.
The actual sitting for the portrait was very painless. Marc spent about 15 minutes snapping shots and left us with 70 beautiful pictures to chose from. The staff at the studio were also great. I strongly endorse both the experience and the end product. Thanks Marc and company.

I am so honored to have had the opportunity to be photographed by such a renowned and gifted man. Working with Marc was like an effortless dance. Marc isn’t a photographer, he is an ARTIST. It’s the eye and mind of an artist that creates a magnificent capture that can draw you in, make you smile, break your heart or cause it to combust because it’s so full.

Marc was able to easily coax a beautiful smile out of my son and almost out of my husband. He is fun to work with and his staff is great too. Be prepared to spend some money to get access to a package of photos.

Marc Hauser is an amazing photographer. We went here for our holiday photo and came out with a great set of photos. You can read about him on his website, but here’s one thing I found really interesting: he photographed John Mellencamp for the cover of Scarecrow, and won a Grammy for it, which is hanging in his studio. Also, his walls are covered with some striking and beautiful images.
Just visiting the studio is an experience. But what really makes it all work is that he and his staff are very warm and welcoming, and immediately put me and my family in a great mood.
Marc took photographs that really captured my son and his different expressions. Overall this was a great experience. I look forward to doing it again.

Wonderful Family Experience in a professional studio. Fast moving and fun. We were using a Groupon that had expired when we were not able to schedule in time… but they honored it anyway. Very gracious and they did not have to do that. Maggie helps make everything flow smoothly. And yes we had 2 nervous kids to deal with… Marc was very interesting and memorable.

Bought a Groupon for a photo shoot and had an excellent experience. Marc and his staff were friendly and a pleasure to work with. Our boys are very active and sitting still is not their strong suit but Marc managed to capture their personalities relatively quickly. Walked out of the studio with a disk of the best images and an order for a signed, framed print. Prices were reasonable for the quality of the work.

I had a one shot opportunity with my family all in town on the same day to get a photo of us all. I got the priceless picture I’d hoped for, and more. Once they see it, friends are asking me who and where and what’s the phone number.

We received Groupon for a one hour session as a gift. We were greeted by Marc and immediately realized this would be a unique experience with a real character. The studio is filled with incredible pictures covering top personalities to ordinary people. Marc and the staff were friendly and professional.

Amazing! I got a groupon and we were there on Sunday. The photographer Will was amazing, super nice. He took pictures of my two sons, and he was super patient. Then Luis helped me pick the best shots. I am very happy! I’m going back for sure! The pictures taken are out of this world!

I was very disappointed with our appointment with Marc.
My fiancé and I were running a little late, I called the studio and told them we would be 10 minutes late, I knew this would be a burden if they had other appointments but the staff reassured me that there was not another appointment right after ours so it would be fine to be a little late.
Upon arrival we got scolded by Marc, after having to wake him up from his powerchair. We proceeded to feel very rushed and only got pictures of one outfit, instead of the two we were scheduled to do. He fell asleep twice during the appointment and then ended it abruptly saying he was hungry and it was time for lunch.
Luckily the man on staff there who actually worked with us picking out pictures was awesome and he saved this review from being 1 star.
Advice — get there early and don’t have an opinion, you’ll get good pictures, but they’ll look the same as every other portrait he’s putting out right now… disappointing

Marc is a legend in the photography world, and I felt honored to be able to work with him!
I needed a new headshot for business use. It was simple to call and schedule the appointment as they had plenty of times available. Upon arriving, Marc made me feel comfortable and asked me lots of questions about what I do. He’s an eccentric, rough kind of guy, so I understand that some people are thrown off by him. I just think he’s funny!
I left with a large print of my favorite photo and rights to the photo for promotional purposes. Thanks Marc! Great job!

We had a family photo session with him which went very well. We had a number of photos to choose from which made it difficult to choose our best five for our disc and print. It was a short session but with four kids it was just fine. He was pretty causal and captured us and the kids well. He has a great eye and his studio is not a dump but an eclectic collection of art and his photography projects, the kids were distracted with just trying to take it all in.
If you’re used to a prop studio photographer then you may not like it because this was more of a straight up relaxed and candid session than a posed and planned out session. Our large print choice ended up being of us not looking at the camera.
The additional prints are pricey so we opted for the CD which we are allowed to reproduce. But the prices aren’t off the wall unless you’re thinking of paying chain store print prices, then yes, you will be surprised.
I would recommend the Groupon, just keep in mind it is for a studio shot and not a custom setting session like outdoors or off location.

He took a total of 15 photos and we had to choose from only those — at first he took about 7 and only took a few more when I pressed him to do so. The promised hour long sitting lasted under 5 min and he gave no directions such s tilt your head, etc. definitely not worth the money or the time. Extremely disappointed. Would rate a zero if I could.

Marc is as good as a photographer gets!
I purchased the Groupon for one thing and wound out using it for another. My son got his senior portrait taken and Marc and his staff were wonderful, personable, professional.
My expierence was perfect!

I wish ZERO stars was an option. This guy is a complete a$$, creepy as hell, and unprofessional.
My husband and I went with our 1-​year-​old son for our first family portraits. Our Groupon included the session and an 11×14 print. We drove 45 minutes each way to get there and we had a hard time locating his «studio» — which is a complete dump.
First he said we shouldn’t have worn light colors. Then he scared the crap out of my son. He clearly has no kids (thank goodness) and has no clue how to take pictures of children. He was BARKING. Literally barking at my son. My kid looks terrified in all the pics.
The session didn’t last very long, which is fine. With a young child, we wanted to rush things along anyway. But when we were going over the pictures, they were all in sepia. When asked to see them in color we were told they didn’t look good because our skin tones didn’t match. Um, isn’t it your job as a «professional» to create good lighting?
The worst part was they kept trying to get us to buy more prints at these insane prices. The pictures ALL SUCKED. I had trouble picking out ONE picture for the 11×14. And even the one I did get is still sitting in the folder in the back of my closet. My son looks like a deer in headlights and my husband looks about 30 years older than he actually is. To top it off, the picture is printed on an INK JET printer and isn’t even an 11×14 so I can’t even frame it. Not that I would ever want to…
Worst experience of my life. Thankfully, Groupon was very understanding and refunded me what I paid.

You can’t go wrong with Marc. What a great group of individuals. Friendly personable staff. Marc takes great photos. Very professional. I highly recommend this business. 43 years of experience is what Marc has in the photography industry. I love my photo

Marc Hauser is one of the true photographic geniuses of our time.
If I had the means I would do whatever it took to be able to enjoy his photographic artistry.

I utilized my groupon today and am extremely happy with my photos. They are AMAZING — I am very finicky about photos of myself… but there were many images to choose from — it took me quite a while to choose. Marc is amazing — very down to earth and very personal. Even though he’s shot hundreds of celebrities he possesses a rare humility that comes with artistic fame. His assistants were also very helpful. Claire (tall, waify gal) was beautiful and professional and a great help with my wardrobe and the other guy (can’t remember his name) understood and worked with my minimal budget. I am astounded at these other negative reviews as the energy in the studio was so positive and encouraging. I feel blessed to have had my photo taken by the one and only Marc Hauser. Wow.
