I order from Little Wok at least 3 times a week. As a student, I am impressed every time by its very fast delivery(usually around 20 minutes). I have tried several things on the menu(orange, sesame, and General Zao’s chicken) and all are phenomenal! The broccoli is good too. It is also great because the delivery charge is low($ 3) and there is either no or a low order minimum. Anyway, I would highly recommend this place to everyone.

Worse chicken pad Thai ever! I get lunch/dinner delivered from this place often. I usually do sweet & sour or Kung pow chicken, but felt adventurous and went with chicken pad Thai instead. I’m no noodle connoisseur but I’ve never seen red chicken pad Thai. I called the restaurant to let them no I wasn’t happy with the order. No offer to refund me or deliver another dish. Instead he felt the need to make excuses and tell me they changed the recipe for their chicken pad Thai. Not sure how that’s my problem, but it would’ve been helpful if the new ingredients were noted on the menu. It didn’t look appetizing so I couldn’t bring myself to even taste it. $ 15 down the drain and so disappointed. Needless to say I will not be ordering again

When I’m in the mood for cheap, edible Chinese food that is delivered quickly I call this place. My favorite items to order are egg rolls, pot stickers & fried rice. I’ve tried the fried chicken & shrimp, but the coating leaves much to be desired. Overall I’d say it’s a decent place.

My first one star review! Woohoo! I ordered chicken and broccoli in garlic sauce. The sauce was a flavorless gelatinous mess. Never, ever, again.

Ordered curry shrimp for $ 6.95.wanted tofu. add on cost $ 3… When I opened my food there was 3 jumbo shrimp. and the rest tofu… I called the restaurant, they said that was impossible. I was very polite and stayed that I just seperated the food and counted… Was told again that it was impossible… I then asked if she thought I called 20 minutes after I picked up my order, just to lie I was just told that I was mistaken… When I stated that I would encourage people not to patronize their business, I was hung up on … Unacceptable!

Ok, Im not sure what the hell happened to this place but it’s gotta be new management. The food gets to my house so freaking fast, I thought the place was like next door! It’s always hot and fresh! Even if it’s pre cooked, I can’t complain and I don’t like much on the south side to eat! They have come to our house soo much, the driver and my husband now have a secret language! It’s strange… anywho, we like it enough to order on a regular basis. I’d give it another chance. If I had read the reviews before ordering I would not have placed an order.

I keep giving this place chance after chance, yesterday was the last time I would ever order food from little wok. I ordered chicken and broccoli and it taste spoiled I sent that back and ordered the chicken fried rice instead that was worst. The only thing thats 80% consistent is there smoothies. I definitely don’t believe this should get under a 3 star review. Yes, the delivery took a while but come on they’re bringing it to you. Pick up is only 15 minutes. The driver was more than courteous and the online system is super efficient and remembers your previous orders. I haven’t had anything bad from here from the 3 times i’ve tried it now and it’s very reasonably priced.

I am totally unimpressed with the service, the speed and the quality of food. It took these people 75 minutes to deliver two tubs of fried rice, four egg rolls and a tub of curry chicken. It was evident that this food was not made to order so, yes, 75 minutes is far too long to wait. My curry was a gelatinous sludge! I only ate about three bites before my stomach began to get upset. Plus, it wreaked of garlic and the chicken in it was rubbery. I ordered online where I was asked to put in a tip. I gave 10% only to be told that I would have to come out to get my food when the delivery driver arrived. I tip so it comes to my door. If a delivery person has an aversion to stairs then his lazy ass needs to get a new job. I’m on the third floor of red-stone walk-up. It’s not like he had to trek up ten flights of stairs. You’re better off using Simon Delivers to have Chinese food brought to your home.

Why cant i give this place a –star? Oh I’m mad as hell right now! I did not expect the best food ordering here just something i haven’t tried before. Oh this sure was something never before and never again. I ordered the generals chicken, barbecued pork, sesame chicken and the chicken Teriyaki chicken Sticks. Everything was inedible except the chicken sticks which were not that good to boot. I finished 2 of the chicken sticks, some of the pork when I noticed it was horrible. The sauce on everything was so syrupy and disgusting. the chicken was tough and hard to chew. 15 minutes later I was running to the bath room blowing my ass like it was my nose and i had the flu. I called back to get no answer and cant wait to give them a piece of my mind tomorrow about this. Hey fuk you little wok! Get some standards!

I had the orange chicken from here is was ok. Not the best at all. The crab Rangoon was very delicious. I ordered online and didn’t have any difficulties and they won me over with the free dishes if you spend over 20 bucks.

I understand that there is not a lot of food options in area but please. Although I can not excuse finding a jalapeño pepper in my pad Thai. This should say plenty about how authentic this place is.

Had a craving for Chinese last night after getting out of a late night meeting. As other reviewers have said, there aren’t a lot of choices in the neighborhood, but Little Wok hits the spot. While their Dinner Specials are a good deal, I am not a fan of their egg rolls(they’re missing something). However, the sesame chicken was crispy, fresh, had a great sauce and the shrimp fried rice is yummy/non-greasy. The portions are a great size(plenty for dinner and leftovers for lunch).

I ordered from here once. I ordered sesame chicken and fried rice. The sesame chicken tasted pretty good, but the coating had the weirdest freaking texture… like it was 100 years old. It was chalky and seemed to be falling apart. Even though the taste was good, I would not risk ordering again due to the texture… it was just that strange. The fried rice was good, but had too much soy sauce. Better than Wok N Roll, so I’ll give it two stars.

There aren’t a lot of choices in the area, but I’m willing to drive if I’m really craving something. Luckily Little Wok has proven itself to be a good place to pick up Chinese. Great portions, good prices, and good service. They don’t have seating, so it’s only carry out and delivery. The lot is also small and can get full at times. Oh and I know that’s lots of places have them now, but their smoothies are awesome. Pineapple coconut FTW!

Not a fan after just one try. I swear the pot-stickers were stuffed with catfood. Maybe it was just a bad night for them, but I am not going to take another gamble. I found De Rice and this will forever be my Hyde Park Chinese Food provider. JD

An extremely enthusiastic five stars!!! It’s been so hard to find good cheap Chinese food in the HP area and I think Little Wok takes the cake and runs with it. If you go with the dinner specials, it’s $ 6 for pop, egg roll, fried rice, and one of the entrée meats/vegetables. The portions are gargantuan. I think it tastes great — just like the Chinese takeout gods intended. Downside — you can’t get diet coke as your pop apparently.

My girlfriend and I have been loyal Little Wok customers for going on three years now, and hope to continue enjoying their delicious food and friendly service for many years to come. Hyde Park is sparse on good takeout, but if you’re feeling lazy one night, Little Wok promptly delivers an awesome variety of hot and tasty food at very reasonable prices. While their egg rolls leave much to be desired, their shrimp fried rice is great, as is their Mongolian Beef(super good!) and Kung Pao Chicken. Their Egg Foo Young is tasty and healthy, if a little on the bland side. I get it when I’m not feeling like having deliciously greasy beef or chicken. You can sub out the fried rice for white rice if you want to mix it with the sauce or cut down on the calories. I can’t imagine spending over $ 20 there for a dinner for two. The Unilocaler who paid a 26 dollar bill must have read the menu wrong. We spend $ 18 including a generous tip and delivery for dinner(get the Dinner Specials, they are huge and delicious, and also come with a soft drink and an eggroll). Mr. Smiles, aka the Bald Man, aka the delivery dude that works there is sweet and very fast. He loves speaking Chinese to you, as my GF will attest, and though you may wonder at what he says, let me assure you, he is not laughing at you, but rather is laughing with you. I may be biased because I just had a dinner from them and I am descending into a warm food coma, but really, give them a try, order from the Dinner Special Menu, and you won’t be disappointed. Just don’t go pick it up, the location is in a middle of a rougher part of town.

This place is just dreadful even for American Chinese food. My boyfriend & I ordered from here last weekend. He got the curry beef and potstickers. I got the vegetarian eggrolls and broccoli with garlic sauce. I took 2 bites of each and gave up. There was absolutely no flavor. I’m sitting there thinking, I can feel something in my mouth, but I don’t taste anything. Bizarre. The broccoli was so soggy that my boyfriend accidentally cut a piece of broccoli in half with his chopsticks!!! I’m thinking they might have used frozen broccoli and that’s just wrong. The eggrolls were soggy, too. I realize it’s delivery and fried food doesn’t travel well, but other places mange to deliver half decent eggrolls. I guess no flavor is better than something gross. The food is edible – you probably won’t die from eating it. My frugal boyfriend is eating leftovers all week, but I refuse to eat something that unhealthy that doesn’t at least taste yummy. I heated up my leftover black-eyed peas & collard greens from new years, because I am a better cook than the«chefs» at Little Wok. I’ll give 5 stars to Mr. Smiles, the guy who actually delivered the food. He had a huge grin on his face and was very friendly… on second thought, maybe he was just laughing at me for paying 26 dollars for that crap.
