History

Established in 2008.

o Alejandro and Diana Guerra La Palapa owners are the best example that everything is posible. After a long fight to have our own restaurant and about to decide to go back to Mexico because of the difficult economy on late 2007, an opportunity came out in early 2008. The opportunity to make our dream a reality. Having a restaurant. A Nayarit Style Seafood Restaurant.

o We made a deal and bought the business on February, 14th of 2008. We ran it as a Taqueria (taco place) and by March 14 of 2008 we modified it to Seafood. At this time Diana my wife was pregnant and worked full time and extra hours three days before our baby was born. I am so happy with Diana my wife she has never let me alone.

o «Thanks God,“Since the first moment we opened our doors we have had a successful business.

Meet the Business Owner

Alejandro G.

Business Owner

I have been in many different fields trough my life. Finally I found something that I really like, «Cooking». It is wonderful that people enjoys the food that you make.

I believe somehow you share yourself of a piece of your soul when cooking!

«Life is great» When I was waitering tables at Cisco’s in Westlake, CA and studding at Moorpark College at the same time in 1999. I almost swear that I will not work at a Restaurant again, and here I am. Life gave me the opportunity to find one of the reasons of my existence.

I waitered tables when I was in Highschool in Mazamitla Jalisco, Mexico. Then I went to Panamerican University in Guadalajara. (Business Administration and International Business)

When I found the location for La Palapa. I needed a menu, I called my friends and relatives. Everybody that could tell me a recipe. The rice is my ant Irma recipe…

Now in 2011 it seems La Palapa will survive the crisis. I am ready for whatever comes.
