Dr. Ehrlich and his staff are wonderful. They are knowledgable, professional, and friendly. I have been seeing them for a few years for routine dental cleanings and exams but have recently been taking my son for check-​ups too. He has had to get a few fillings for cavities and the staff were great working with a squirmy 5 year old. He has to go back again for a few more fillings and he is not nervous or scared about returning which is probably rare for a child in terms of wanting to visit the dentist. I highly recommend Dr. Ehrlich for both adults and children.

I visited Dr. Ehrlich because my tooth with a crown got a problem of inflammation. The receptionist is very polite, friendly and welcoming. Dr. Ehrlich checked my tooth very carefully and gave a detailed description of what cause my problem and the options available to solve it. He listened to my concerns very patiently. I will highly recommend Dr. Ehrlich to all of my friends and family.

Dr. Ehrlich provides excellent care, both in caring for teeth and in caring for patients. He has a fabulous «bed-​side» (chair-​side?) manner and is both thorough and pleasant, showing concern about one’s life beyond just one’s teeth (thus «care-​ful» in both senses of the word). While «A Google User» 5 years ago might have had a misdiagnosed «cavity» (and who’s to say the other dentist was right?), everybody makes a mistake at some point and in the last 4 years I’ve not heard a single complaint about Dr. Ehrlich (and many people that I know have gone to him during that time and continue to use his care). I intend to continue using Dr. Ehrlich without reservation and I will recommend him to anybody I meet who is new to Chicago and thus in need of a dentist.

It’s not a fancy or big office to be sure, but clean and welcoming. Robin at the front desk is wonderful, clearly explaining the cost of the visit and what they estimated my insurance would pay. Dr. Ehrlich is friendly and personable, aware at all times of making his patients feel comfortable throughout their visit. I especially appreciated that he explained every step of the procedure he was performing so I knew what was going on. Honestly, I think that is often times the «scary» part of going to the dentist, not really knowing what is going on in your mouth and just feeling pokes, pinches, and vibrations. Dr. Ehrlich eliminated the unknown and made me feel comfortable and confident in the procedures being performed.

Dr. Ehrlich and his staff are extremely friendly and thorough. This didn’t stop at the water’s edge — from the time I signed up for an appointment to and after my visit, each member of the staff offered great customer service and patient care. My hygienist, Amy, was not only great at her job, but very funny and engaging. Robin at the front desk answered my questions and was helpful in getting all my paperwork properly submitted. Dr. Ehrlich has a great «bedside» manner and gave me a thorough breakdown of what he’d like me to do to make my dental health even better. If you want a dental team that is focused on its patients, look no further!

Let’s just say I drive 20 – 30 minutes in rush hour from Bucktown up to Lakeview because Dr Ehrlich is so awesome. Been going here for over five years and love the level of personal care and sincere kindness I receive every time I go.

I came in today for a cleaning and the staff did a great job as always. I’ve had fillings replaced, my teeth cleaned and other various services provided by Dr. Ehrlich and his staff. They are very professional, do a thorough job and are personable. I highly recommend his services.

I’ve had two check-​ups here now, both were fantastic. Super nice and accommodating. They don’t try to up sell you or fix problems that aren’t really there. An honest dentist’s office with a great staff can be hard to find, go with Dr. Ehlrich!

I recently got an e-​mail stated that my dental insurance, Delta Dental, is not reimbursing him enough for his services and he will not accept them anymore. Patient’s with this insurance will have to pay out of pocket for the expenses and then hoped to be reimbursed, even though he is stating that they are not reimbursing him enough for his services… so how does this make sense for any patient pay and try and get reimbursed? Anyone with Delta Dental or cash patients, I would suggest not going here because he apparently is charging to much. He was a nice dentist — but he did fill more cavities in the 3 years I went to him them I have had in my whole life. I won’t be going back.

I went to this dentist because he had good reviews on Unilocal,but honestly am regretting the decision. He told me that I had a cavity and coincidentally had time to do the filling right away because of last minute cancellations, which I fell for because it was so convenient and wanted to get everything taken care of right away.
A month later, I needed to get a root canal on that same tooth that he filled because of all the irritation — even though the tooth was completely fine before he filled it.
I would be very wary if he tries to make you any impulsive decision! In all honesty, I wish I just went elsewhere.

I recently moved to Chicago and found Dr. Ehrlich here on Unilocal.I have to say, I’m very impressed by everyone in the office, the staff is amazing and Dr Ehrlich is very nice!
I love his honesty and work ethics… He originally told me I needed a crown and when he started the procedure he stopped and said: «I have to be honest, I don’t think you need a crown, the X-​Rays were deceiving”… Then he said «If this was my tooth, I would avoid the crown» — So he just filled the cavity! I only paid a fraction of what I would have paid for the crown. YAY!
I’m so used to people always trying to nickel and dimed you on everything… But not Dr Ehrlich! I’m blown away!
I’ll definitely recommend him to anyone!

I can’t say enough great things about Dr. Ehrlich and his staff. Robyn is always welcoming and friendly when you check in. Aimee the hygienist is amazing with my two year old daughter. She really made her feel comfortable and alleviated any fears during her first cleaning. Dr. Ehrlich is very wonderful and patient with my daughter as well. He really has a great approach!
The office is very clean and they use state of the art technology! We are so happy to have found this practice!

Dr. Ehrlich and his staff are incredibly nice. They are friendly, informative, and accommodating. The office is comfortable and hygienic, and I was never pressured into unnecessary services, like some dentist experiences I’ve had in Chicago.

I started going to Dr. Ehrlich nearly a year ago after skipping dental appointments for a few years. A move to the Chicago left me dentist-​less. A friend recommended Dr. Ehrlich based on his positive experiences.
Despite neglecting my oral hygiene appointments for 3 – 4 years and being embarrassed about the situation I created, Dr. Ehrlich’s staff was professional and helped me feel at ease. I had a cracked tooth due to my neglect. I was able to get an appointment rapidly and started down the path to get my mouth back in shape. Once the emergency situation was taken care of I decided to get a checkup to find out what other issues I had lurking. Thankfully, the checkup identified only a few other issues resulting from my dental vacation. Get your check-​ups!!!
Now a year later, I’m now approaching my semi-​annual check-​up and am very happy with my selection of Dr. Ehlrich. He is prompt, thoroughly explains what he will be doing and what to expect, and communicates throughout the entire procedure. His office staff is friendly and helpful. I’ve never experienced any billing issues and have had no issues getting duplicate copies (yes, I misplace the originals they provided) of procedures for my flexible spending documentation. The office is modern and has TV’s in strategically placed locations so you can watch TV while the procedure is taking place. Once the emergency situation was taken care of I decided to get a checkup to find out what other issues I had lurking. Thankfully, the prognosis was much better than expected and my mouth is on the mend.
Yes, there are a lot of dentists in Chicago. I have no hesitation what so ever recommending Dr. Ehrlich to fellow Unilocalers (and others!). Check him out, you won’t be disappointed.

I had a terrible experience with another dentist and so I went to Dr. Ehrlich for a second opinion. My only parameters were 1) covered by my insurance and 2) less than 2 blocks from the el. He fit both counts.
Honestly, his staff is just amazing. I am with Melissa for my cleaning, and she is just so helpful and nice. She is amazingly thorough. I can not say enough positive things about her. Love.

I have been a patient at Dr. Ehrlich’s office for a few years now. I have found their services to be very good, very professional and very prompt. My appointments have always started on time. I am in-​and-​out in an hour or less, without ever feeling rushed. Dr. Ehrlich and his staff are very caring and provide top notch service. TV next to the dental chair is a nice touch too.

It is clear that Dr. Ehrlich and his staff take tremendous pride in their work. Besides doing a great job on my teeth, they are knowledgable, professional, and never too busy to answer all of my questions. It is reassuring to be in a facility that is state-​of-​the-​art and yet still emanates a feeling of comfort and calm. I have been a client for just over a year, following a very disappointing visit to a practice for which I had purchased a coupon. (It closed soon after. Shocking.) The hours at Dr. Ehrlich’s I also find very reasonable. Lastly, it speaks volumes that his practice utilizes media to work with clients (website, paypal, email reminders). Keep it up.

Dr. Ehrlich is very nice and extremely sensitive if you have any dental anxiety.
The hygenist is SERIOUS BUSINESS. She’s really nice but she meant business and was super disappointed in me. I felt like my mom was disciplining me as a child. It did make me shape up though and then she apologized for being so stern! :)
They have tvs so you can watch something while all this is going on. I think watching Cheaters while getting my teeth cleaned was probably my best dental experience ever.
I like that you get scheduled reminders via text!
NOTE: If it’s rainy or snowy, they may ask you to take your shoes off and wear some crocs they have on hand for the cleanliness of the office. It was fine with me but I wasn’t wearing socks and felt a little weird. Good to know ahead of time.

I can’t say enough good things about this practice! Dr. Ehrlich and his staff are absolutely incredible.
I’ve been a patient for a year and after slacking on dental visits for a long time, I needed some extensive fillings when I first started going to Dr. Ehrlich. First of all, I was given an estimate of what the work would cost once the Dr. recommended it. That was awesome, especially since I had to come in for four different visits. Second of all, during this work I was having some issues with pain management and Dr. E went an extra dozen miles to make sure I was comfortable. He is incredibly patient and he is great at explaining everything related to your dental health. Super nice guy, too.
Robin manages the office and it really thorough and organized. She runs an awesome appointment system that includes followups by phone, email and TEXT MESSAGE. It’s so helpful, especially for cleanings scheduled 6 months apart.
Melissa is the hygienist I’ve seen most frequently. She’s kind and personable and super smart.
If you’ve ever had a sketchy dentistry experience, there are no worries here– the place is spotless. Immaculate even.
I know I’m gushing, but the last thing I want to get in here is that because the practice is nice and small everyone remembers you and I think the last time I had a personal experience like that in any kind of health care I was seeing my pediatrician!

Today was my first visit to Dr. Ehrlich’s office, and it was not the type of appointment I look forward to given how nervous dentists make me.
To my surprise, it was a probably the most ideal dental experience I could have imagined. First off, he has Sunday hours every other week and his office is in a convenient location for me. His office has all new equipment, including a chair that he swivels so that you can conveniently watch TV while he cleans your teeth! He took a thorough patient interview and reviewed all my X-​rays with me since it was my first visit. During my cleaning, he checked in with me and made sure I was comfortable. After my cleaning, he explained everything in great detail and talked over issues I was having with tooth sensitivity and problems with past orthodontal work. When it came to billing, he offered up estimated costs for my next visits and talked through my options. Lastly, he even made nice small talk with my boyfriend who was waiting for me.
Overall, you could tell how seriously he takes his job, and that definitely made me more comfortable in his chair. The one negative about the appointment was that he found a cavity. That’s hardly his fault!
