History

Established in 2008.

Prior to joining @properties John graduated from Depaul University with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, and worked for CB Richard Ellis as a Property Manager. In this role, John oversaw Commercial Office Space for Four Buildings consisting of over 550,000 square feet in total. John also supervised several construction projects and skillfully negotiated contract services and prices with a wide variety of vendors to meet the budget constraints of each property he managed. Through these negotiations John was able to save his Investors a lot of money; a skill John promises to bring to you as his client.

I recently bought my first condo, and could not have asked for a better agent than John! He is patient, honest, hard-​working, professional, and above all, knowledgeable.
I learned quickly how valuable good communication with your agent is, and John exceeded my expectations on every level. Being a first time homebuyer, John took the time to answer questions and address all of my concerns. At times, I worried about asking too many questions, but he reassured me that no question was unimportant and always provided me with the information I requested. I saw dozens of properties in different neighborhoods, and John was always able to accommodate my schedule. It was evident John had my best interests in mind at all times. A few months into my search, John sent me a listing he believed was perfect for me. Two months later, that property is my home!
I would recommend John to anyone buying or selling a property. I feel fortunate to have worked with John on my first purchase, and am confident he will be my agent when the time comes to sell my condo.

I worked with John to find a place in Chicago while I was living in another state, which can be an overwhelming and challenging endeavor. He made the process much less daunting as he invested a significant amount of time in finding properties for me to look at online and in person. Throughout my search he was very patient and thorough. Then, when final decisions were made, I felt as if John was fighting for me, his client, and not his bottom line. I ended up with a place that I love and am very happy. Overall, I enjoyed working with John and would recommend him highly to anyone searching for their perfect place.

I used John on my most recent real estate transaction and it was a great overall experience. He is incredibly knowledgeable about neighborhoods, different types of construction and developments, intelligent pricing on the sell-​side, and is a strong negotiator when it comes time to close on a purchase. Probably the aspect of doing business with him that I found the most satisfying was his willingness to be patient with me… while I did not close on a property until recently, I requested that he show me dozens and dozens of properties on the market over the last nine months or so and he did so without a second thought. He is certainly a smart, hard-​working guy that I would recommend to anyone.

My boyfriend and I worked with John almost a year ago when we were looking for a new place. John had been recommended by two other friends who both found fabulous places with him. We were looking in Old Town, Lincoln Park and Lakeview and had a very specific list of wants and needs for our apartment. Honestly, the first time we went out with John, I was a bit worried because it didn’t seem like we saw anything all that great or that matched our list. But, as we went through those places, my boyfriend and I realized a lot about what we did and didn’t want and reordered our priorities a bit. John listened to our opinions about all the places and found a much better set of options the next time we went out. He was very professional but also very friendly.
When we finally found the *perfect* place, John was really helpful in the negotiating process and provided his expertise into what we could expect for price flexibility and helped with the negotiations. He saved us a couple hundred dollars a month.
We’ve since recommended him to another friend in the area and will call him in the future for any needs.
