I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a certified alcohol and drug counselor with a private psychotherapy practice in Uptown Chicago.

Areas of clinical expertise include mental health, individual and family psychotherapy, identity, relationships, aging, mood and anxiety disorders, grief and loss, addictions, health, chronic illness, persons with HIV/​AIDS, transgender persons seeking medical/​surgical gender treatments, lesbian, gay, bisexual, and queer persons, genderqueer persons, spouses and families of transgender individuals, blended families, polyamory, leather and kink communities.

My clinical approach and interventions are informed by the integration of Mindfulness and Acceptance, Strengths Theory, Systems Theory, Feminist Theory, and Motivational Interviewing.

I received a Masters in Social Work at Jane Addams College of Social. Internships and employment history include a community mental health center for adults with severe and persistent mental illness, a hospital based substance dependence treatment program, a large not-​for-​profit conducting mental health assessments and performing brief interventions, a food pantry on the west side of Chicago, and prior to private practice, working for a large not-​for-​profit community health center serving uninsured and underinsured people, providing counseling and psychotherapy.
