History

Established in 1986.

Semmerling & Schaefer Mask Studios established 1986 has grown from a mask makers’ partnership into a community art center now know as Inside Out Art Studio & MASK SHOP. We still make, show and sell the «Finest most comfortable handmade masks, anywhere,» but also offer classes in all the arts, community events, Art parties, camps, classes and workshops in our beautiful big «maker’s space» or in yours at your event we have serious Teaching/​Artists ready to make ART a bigger part of your life.

Business Owner

Jeff Semmerling is the owner, manager, Mad Master Mask Maker. Trained in the theatre at Northwestern University, and a life long practitioner of the various arts of the mask. Step into his studio and into a world of imagination. Join his famous customers Disney’s MGM Studios Theme Park, NBC Productions, Radio City Music Hall, Goodman, Famous Door, The Alley, Among many other theatre and opera and dance companies across the USA, Musician, dancer, actors, and serious maskers around the world know the quality of a Semmerling mask.
