Employees are clueless here. They don’t take the initiative to help customers. They don’t even know what merchandise they carry. I asked for help by two individuals which I had to track down cause they were to busy chatting it up about other employees that according to them were not doing their job.(I laugh about the irony in that) they had no clue what I was asking for. As I was walking out I ran into one of the owners(I believe) he asked if I needed help, I asked for the item and he quickly directed me to the isle. I couldn’t find it because they were out of stock. However he asked me to call the following week to see if they have received them yet. I did just that and by no surprise my call was answered by the same two individuals that couldn’t help me when I was there. Then I asked to talk to the manager and«oddly» they hung up on me. Horrible customer service unless helped by owner, fair prices.

First of all I love this store, I been coming here for years. the only thing that has changed is the costumer service, it’s always the same two girls who work in the back part with nasty attitudes. I recently went in and needed help with something behind the counter one of the girl’s rolled her eyes, didn’t want to help me. I said thank you after I got my item she didn’t respond. Before I left I needed some fabric to be cut for me, the other young lady was there on the phone. I was waiting for 5 – 10 mins, became really upset when she got off the phone ignored me and walked past me without saying” I’ll be with you shorty” or helping me quickly which cutting 1 yard of fabric takes half a min. I work helping people everyday, doing this I make sure the costumer is always happy and satisfied, I love my job, can’t say the same about those two girl’s. in the future if you don’t like your job then quit their are plenty people out here who will love to work!!! Wish I had gotten their names but next time I will. all I could say it was last sunday at 4:00 — 4:30 pm.

Some things never change and that is a good thing!!! I’ve been coming to this store with my Mom since I can first remember. She bought everything here. If we were having a party she stocked up on theme plates, napkins and forks. If it was Halloween and she wanted to hang a cardboard bat in the front window, she would buy it here. In fact, she bought so many holiday decorations here it was crazy. I think she was trying to open her own Metro location in the attic of her house. I recently stopped in to remember some of the magic here and Metro did not let me down. I am glad that this place is still open because it will always be one of those places I use to share with my Mom on a Saturday afternoon. I will never forget going up and down the aisles and loading our cart with fun things for an upcoming holiday or party. I am so happy that this place has been able to stay open with all of the big box houses and discount stores. It is a staple in this community and an important part of the neighborhood. My Mom may no longer be around but I was able to keep some of her Metro decorations she had stashed in the attic. Trust me I wanted to keep it all but I had no where to store it. Thanks Metro for not changing or closing! And thanks for helping another generation decorate there next party.

I like the Metro. It’s very close to home, so i don’t have to go out of my way for somethings that i don’t want to drag myself over to michaels for. Other than that, its prices are average, I’ve found some good sales there. The workers are very helpful though. They have a huge selection of flowers(which i found great for making hair pins this summer!) the jewelry making isle is also very nice, but since this is a small store, do not expect to find absolutely everything you want or need. A downside sometimes is the annoying customers you’ll find there. Either its the nice quiet people who browse the isles, or the obnoxious families who are loud /have their children playing around or in the way. I seem to find the latter their a lot, but oh well it’s not the metro’s fault ya know?

Come here for all of your craft needs! This is a REALLY old store(from even when my parents where in the area!) and they have a huge selection of goods. From silk flowers, to pottery, to craft paints, to wedding supplies, to pinatas for the birthday, to the obscure foam circles for who knows what! Metro’s prices are very good too. Don’t expect to get hagged here. Not gonna happen. There’s always a reason for when a business is successful for such a LOOOOOOOONG time. And Metro has that figured out — the customer and the selection. I often pop into Metro simply to gander around and see if creativity/inspiration slaps me on the head — note(it often does!).
