My first impression accompanying my grandmother for a touchup and blow dry with Teresa. First of all she’s late and didn’t check up on us. No apologies. Our appointment is for 12, and she didn’t come over to us until 12:20p, only to find out that she’s handing off my grandmother for color with anther stylist who’s been sitting around for a few mins now, and whom I’ve just witnessed give a horrible haircut to a guy. Maybe I’m just spoiled, but this salon is not that great based on this. Also, it REALLY smells chemically in here, ion my think it’s good for my lungs bring in here — need better ventilation. My grandmother likes her hair. She has very short boyish hair and her total was $ 45 for root touchup and blow dry. Can’t believe she has to pay for a blow dry, albeit, she used a curling iron, but cmon my Grandma has about 3 inches worth of hair. My salon includes blow-dry/style with haircut or any service where they have to wash my hair. Regardless on my take with the whole experience, my grandma likes it, so I’m sure she’ll go back.

I can’t speak for their haircuts for women. But I brought my three sons there today. and just not good hair cuts. Nice people, below average hair cuts.

I really like this place. You get a haircut first, then a shampoo and scalp massage, and then they’ll style your hair if you’re so inclined. I even got a certificate for $ 5 off my next visit, so I can get the same thing again for 10 bucks! I’m pleased with the quality of the cut I received — as far as I can tell it’s just as good as cuts I’ve had for almost twice as much money. Before I was seated for my haircut the woman took my coat and hung it up for me – a nice friendly touch. If you need a neighborhood haircut place, this is a sure bet.

Great place. I know I can relax and get exactly what I asked for. Sasha does a great job with color and updos. While my color was getting processed I watched her straighten and curl very unruly clients hair I was amazed at the result and her attention to detail. Everyone at the salon is nice and friendly. This is my new regular spot.

$ 15 dollars for a men’s cut works for me. I’m a regular at Image Show Case and would recommend it to all guys that are looking to find a decent cut. The staff is friendly and the place seems to be busy with a good mix of regulars. I’m a fan of Teresa and her skills, but I have friends that see other stylists, and they all give good reviews. If you live around the area and looking for something a bit better than Super Cuts for a similar price, try Image Show Case.

In my quest to Unilocal and experience Chicago there are few places I am a «regular». The Show Case is one of them. Even if their grammar needs some work, they do a good job. My hair is cut well and professionally. They then shave my neck with a straight razor and give me a shampoo and a blow dry. All for $ 15. It’s quite a deal. It’s nice to keep going some place where you are consistently treated with the same level of service. Now I can go work on my faux hawk…

I should have known that a business whose name is grammatically incorrect would know equally little about cutting hair. «Show Case» is wrong; it’s one word, not two; «Showcase» is correct. I patronized this place only because in a recent rainstorm I ran in here and asked them to change a dollar for parking change so I could do some post office business across the street. The lady obliged me but gave me her card and asked that I give their shop a try for my next haircut(price: $ 15.00). So, I obliged her back. WHAT A MISTAKE. When the goo wore off and I saw what I was left with I was spitting nails mad, because now I have to spend real money to fix it, and I HATE short hair but I don’t see how this one can be salvaged without cutting more than I want cut. I thought the gal who cut my hair was awfully quick about it. I wondered why so many of the others who have cut my hair well have taken so much longer. Now I know why the last good hair cut I had cost $ 50. Damn, there is just no free lunch. You get what you pay for. It’s true every time. If you see a guy with a bag over his head, or a stupid looking, short, conservative haircut, it’s me.

Okay, let me start out by saying this: when it comes to hair, I am extremely low-maintenance. I don’t blow-dry ATALL. No matter how many stylists tell me that I should blow-dry my straight, fine hair to give it more volume, I will not do it. The only«product» I use on a daily basis is whatever shampoo I picked up at the Dollar Tree. You couldn’t get me near a curling iron if you coated it with chocolate and stuck a 50 dollar bill to the handle. Now that I’ve made that clear, let me throw another fact out there: I’m broke. I’m not accustomed to spending more than 12 bucks on a haircut, and paying over 25 seems ludicrous to me. When I was a kid, my mom used to stick a painting smock on us and trim our hair at the kitchen table with a pair of Fiskars, and it came out fine! Why would I pay 45 dollars for someone to do basically the same thing? Unfortunately, my mom lives an hour away and I don’t know many people whom I’d trust with a sharp implement anywhere near my head. So I went to Image Showcase, which is conveniently located just blocks from my apartment. When I rode up on my bike, Teresa opened the door for me to let me park it inside the salon and then rushed to the back to get me a cup of cold water. Even though they were near closing, she took her time on my hair, making sure to ask me if she was cutting enough off and how I wanted the layers. When I admitted that I had no idea how I wanted the layers and that I never blow-dried my own hair, she made sure to leave me with a good-looking, easily manageable haircut. She even went out of her way to fix an uneven layering job that the last person who cut my hair(and charged me 45 bucks) left behind. Teresa did blow-dry my hair and used some mousse and pomade in it, and since I was a first-time customer, she didn’t charge me for it. The bill came out to 23 dollars, which I find very reasonable for a friendly stylist and an overall good haircut!

I give this salon five stars for the following reasons: Henry is terrific with hair. I have massive amounts of curly hair and I always end up looking sleek when I leave. It is NOTOVERPRICED. They are supremely friendly You want to tip everyone and everything, even the plants. The salon is small, cute and has a very warm friendly feel They remember you– even if you haven’t been for awhile They are never very busy, but they are never«questionably slow» Henry is a sweetheart! Downside: no parking lot– might be a big deal to some people but you if you live in the city get over yourself already :)
