Natalie and her Darlings made my wedding dreams come true. They were so fabulous throughout the entire planning process and even kept up with my idea boards on Pinterest. I had some pretty tall orders and they just… made it happen! If I could hug them all I would. They were a pleasure to work with and they did an absolutely fabulous job.

Working with Hello Darling on the flowers for my wedding was simply a pleasure. Natalie, Jack, Carolyn, and the whole crew at Hello Darling made the process so much fun. I came to them with just the bare bones of an idea and they helped build it into a beautiful with flowers, linens, and lighting. They were flexible in adding and removing things from the proposals. And I just loved the finished product. I had no idea that I would care so much about the flowers, and Hello Darling totally delivered!

Natalie is truly a visionary and is unparalleled when it comes to floral and event décor. I came to her with my ideas for wedding colors and she was able to make my vision come to life through florals, rentals, and lighting. I cannot tell you how wonderful it is to work directly with the owner/​lead event designer of the business and have them present on our wedding day and throughout the planning process. At Hello Darling, Natalie is with you every step of the way. There are so many of these event companies in Chicago that treat you as just another event on another day. This is NOT the case at Hello Darling. I love that Natalie was always there to answer my questions and to guide me in the right direction.
On our wedding day my husband and I were blown away at how beautiful everything in our reception was thanks to Natalie and her crew. The flowers were all open, fresh, and beautiful and you could tell that the blooms were taken care of from start to finish. The candles and vases were unique and perfectly fit the style we were going for. Natalie also contracted for a beautiful drape to frame our entrance for when guests entered the reception and it was picture perfect. She also handled the lighting, linens, chair rentals, and so many other décor details. It was truly perfect.

I was looking for a Wedding Florist and stumbled upon Hello Darling when looking at photos of wedding floral/​design that I liked. I spoke to a bunch of different companies and wanted to say how impressed I was with working with Natalie. She is so thoughtful, creative, and helpful. She had such incredible ideas for my wedding design– taking the ideas I had in my head and incorporating her own creative twists on them. She is very responsible, and was prompt in sending a proposal and very willing to modify it to make it perfect. I ended up choosing a different floral/​design company in the end (basically comparing two incredible companies, I am still having buyers remorse) but just wanted to express what a wonderful experience I had working with Natalie and that I would highly recommend her company. I will definitely be passing along her name to friends of mine getting married this next year.

Natalie, Carolyn and Marielle at Hello Darling are the best! We used Hello Darling for our linens, chairs, lighting, and floral arrangements, and I cannot even express how they made the room glow. It was romantic and absolutely stunning. We received so many compliments on everything! They are flexible and easy to work with. I didn’t have a set idea-​just some magazine tear outs and Natalie went along with my idea, guiding it into more than I could have imagined! She made a vision come to life! Natalie at Hello Darling is fabulous! We recently worked with her for our wedding at the Ivy Room and she nailed it. Going in to our first meeting with her, we had a design aesthetic in mind and she came up with the exact look and feel we were dreaming of. Not only did she design the gorgeous table centerpieces and bridal party bouquets, but she also created a ceremony structure that was simply stunning. Everything was just so, so beautiful and the flowers filled the wedding space with an amazing scent. She even took the time to help us look for linens that complimented our invites and menus. We had at least 20 people at our wedding ask about Natalie and said the designs were the most beautiful arrangements they’d ever seen. Not only is Natalie super talented but she’s prompt, detail-​oriented and just really sweet. A pleasure to work with. I’d highly recommend Hello Darling!

Natalie, the owner and creative force behind Hello Darling, did a fabulous job with the flowers at our daughter’s wedding and reception in Chicago. She transformed Room 1520 into a personal and lovely garden-​like wedding venue. The tables were gorgeous. Natalie listened to our definite ideas and totally «got it» once we properly explained what we wanted. The bridal flowers were so beautiful and the ceremony flowers were exquisite. i will go straight to Natalie and Hello Darling if i ever do another event in Chicago.

I planned my Chicago June wedding from the West Coast with the help of Katie Kozlowski of Dettagli Weddings. Katie introduced me to Hello Darling and another, larger event decoration/​florist company. I meet with both in February. At first, I didn’t really think that Hello Darling’s vintage vibe would be appropriate for my wedding at The Modern Wing. When I came back in April, I met with both companies again, this time for a sample. The first company was a disaster. It wasn’t at all what I wanted & I was afraid that I had miscommunicated the look I was going for. Naturally, I started freaking out because the wedding was only a few months away and I still needed a florist. Then I went to Hello Darling for her sample… and it was PERFECT! Working with Natalie was amazing because she really listened to my likes & dislikes, worked closely with my planner to learn more about my tastes and truly captured the aesthetic we were going for. She’s an extremely versatile floral designer and did an amazing job with my modern wing wedding. She’s also honest, has great taste, and will stear you in the right direction, which I really appreciated.
A few weeks before the wedding, we had to change the location of our ceremony within the museum. She could have just kept to the original décor plan that we had agreed upon, but instead she pointed out areas where we could change the décor to make it more appropriate for the new space (for no additional charge, I might add). I really appreciated that she went that extra mile to make sure that our ceremony looked perfect. And the reception flowers and personal flowers were absolutely amazing and gorgeous. They were so much better than I could have imagined that they would be. I loved them sooo much. Working with Natalie was a dream and I’m so happy that my planner recommended her.

With just a month and a half before my wedding, I was still without a florist. After reviewing Unilocal,I don’t recall Hello Darling showing up in the results (back in 2009). So thankfully with luck and all, I found Hello Darling via Google.
The studio is located inside a condo on the first floor. To enter, you need to be buzzed in first and someone will greet you at the door with a friendly smile.
After first interview with Vita, I knew I was going to pick her. She was calm and patient. I explained to her that I had NO idea what I wanted. I only knew what I did not want. Our budget for flowers was under $ 1500. If my mother taught me anything, it’s to never reveal your max budget. I told Vita we our budget was only $ 1000. To my surprise, she was able to design a floral plan that is both tasteful and within our budget. Vita was very attentive and answered my questions live and via email within the same day.
Overall, Hello Darling knows their stuff. They are professional and willing to work with any budget.

2009 was a good year for us because, for whatever reason, that’s when Natalie, the owner of Hello Darling, decided to waive the minimum for new accounts. My husband and I, having paid for the wedding ourselves, were on a pretty tight budget, but still wanted flowers that were classy, colorful, symbolic, and local. Tall order for not much money. But Natalie and her crew bent over backwards for us Though I got the impression that we were one of her smaller accounts, she still worked with us with the utmost professionalism and creativity, listening to every single weird idea I had and incorporating everything that was truly important to me, responding quickly and thoroughly to any call or email I placed to her. I did indeed get all the flowers I wanted (yellow and purple orchids, yellow calla lilies, purple hydrangeas) from local vendors — I also got the impression that that wasn’t all that easy to figure out either in an industry that typically imports all the flowers — the most exotic, beautiful, personal bouquet, extra flowers to adorn our cake and gift and seating assignment tables, and the most graceful, elegant centerpieces for an exceptional price. Natalie’s assistant showed up at our venue right on time, set everything up, pinned the boutonnieres on the groom and groomsmen, and worked well with the venue staff, who were not nearly as friendly and accommodating. Natalie even followed up a week later when our lives calmed down a bit to make sure everything was to our liking. Her arrangements were truly a work of art and I’m honored to have had her talents on display at my wedding. She’s amazing to work with on so many levels.

I cannot say enough great things about Natalie and Hello Darling. She was an absolute delight to work with throughout our wedding planning process. She always responded to phone calls and emails promptly. She helped me out with many little details above and beyond flowers so that the entire room looked spectacular. But the flowers were by far the highlight. They were exactly what I had envisioned. She listened to me, gave her own input and advice, and executed everything perfectly. We received so many compliments on the flowers, vases, table numbers, etc. If you are looking for a great event florist, look no further.

I have been working with Natalie and her team for several years and have had the most wonderful experiences.

Natalie is so sweet and the flowers are gorgeous, to boot. She did flowers for a wedding I photographed in June 2009 and they were just lovely! The bride was thrilled, as was I as the photographer. I have had the pleasure to meet and know her and she is so personable and really takes a vested interest in her clients. There are many great florists in Chicago, but Natalie would be one of the people at the top of my list for my own wedding!

Let me tell you how much I love Natalie and Hello Darling. In my head I had a vision of what I wanted my venue to look like. When I said placecard table tree no one got it. But Natalie did. She totally understood my vision and made it reality. Everything tied together so beautifully.
When I told her I was on a strict budget she really worked with me, giving me the lowdown on the cost of each and every flower. As an accountant that really meant a lot to me. She wasted no time and got right down to business at our first meeting. She provided such excellent insight and really worked out the kinks that I didn’t think of in my head. She gave me lower cost alternatives and when I saw my centerpieces and bouquets, I was so happy.

Hello Darling did the flowers for our wedding and they came our beautiful! Natalie was great to work with and very helpful when picking out the arrangements. I wanted something simple but elegant and that is what I got. I absolutely loved my bouquet which was just Lilies of the Valley but looked and smelled great! I couldnt have been happier with flowers at our wedding. They were exactly what I had imagined!

We chose Hello Darling to do our wedding flowers. Natalie does an amazing job. We loved all the personal flowers, especially my wife’s bouquet. The color scheme (orange, white and green) as well as the flowers (mini calla lilies and cymbidium orchids) were excellent choices. Her use of leaf loops were also a nice touch. In addition, the restaurant centerpieces, with 3 clusters of cylindrical vases with orchids suspended in water per table, were simple and elegant. Highly recommended.
