Ignite Glass Studios is a state-​of-​the-​art Glassblowing Studio, Event Space, Gallery and Educational Facility located in Chicago’s West Loop neighborhood.

We offer a world-​class working environment in our Hot and Cold Shops and a wide range of services including group and private instruction, workshops, demonstrations, group team-​building events, and professional bench rentals. To enhance our educational mission, we regularly open our doors to school groups for tours and demonstrations.

Ignite is also a unique and flexible venue for private, corporate and non-​profit events. In addition to our main Event Space, which is adjacent to the glassblowing studio, we offer an outdoor garden, a rooftop deck, and a conference room, totaling approximately 9,000 square feet. Ignite’s one-​of-​a-​kind environment is ideal for any event.

History

Established in 2012.

Ignite Glass Studios was founded by Glen and Trish Tullman in 2012 in support of the Chicago glass community. Ignite Glass Studios hopes to inspire a love for glass throughout Chicago, and the studio offers classes for all skill levels. In 2013, Ignite partnered with the School of the Art Institute of Chicago to offer classes within the art school’s curriculum. Ignite also hosts Glassworks, a free after-​school program for Chicago Public Schools students.

In a short period of time, Ignite has become one of Chicago’s hottest event venues. Ignite Glass Studios has hosted numerous weddings, as well as corporate summer events and holiday parties, events for Canon (hosted by rapper Common), The Aids Foundation of Chicago, and Designs for Dignity.
