History

Established in 1986.

Since 1986, Dr. Harvey Jay Mahler, DDS has been serving the Chicago Loop area. Dr. Mahler is super thorough and very patient with people that have had a bad experience elsewhere. He doesn’t critisize but offers ways to solve the problems. I go to him and now my husband believes in him as well.

Excellent dentistry! Dr. Mahler explains everything very clearly and fully, and doesn’t make you feel stupid simply because you may have problems with your teeth. It is possible to get an appointment quickly if there is something urgent. There is a cam by which you can see your teeth on a TV monitor. The support staff are also fully capable. The human touch, plus excellent dentistry!

I was terrified of going to the dentist since it had been almost a decade since my last visit to one. But with one cracked wisdom tooth and mouth full of holes and cavities I was in horrible, crippling pain.
Somehow from the grace of God, on a random whim Mahler was directed to me. He was very nice, super sweet and above all else, did NOT make me feel bad for getting my teeth in such a terrible position. He seemed to really care about getting them in top shape and made it known that he could take the pain away. He started out testing each tooth and gums for sensitivity and pain. Went over in great detail any problems that the x-​rays and tests showed and broke it down on how afterwards I should begin cleaning my teeth.
I came back to him a total of 4 times to have my cavities filled within the month and each time I got more and more excited to go back. Not only did he not make you wait to be seen but it was painless and even pleasant. Talk about a professional staff. Everyone was friendly and willing to really help you afterwards when it came to financing. The one receptionist personally called Care Credit for me and fought to make sure everyone was on the same page and that I could get the best coverage for my dental work.
There is no other words to describe Mahler and his staff then simply ‘perfect’. My teeth fill better then ever and I’m happier then ever that I can now eat with wincing.
I highly with out a doubt recommend him.
One last thing. While filling a couple of cavities in the back of my front two teeth Mahler took it upon himself to complementary fill in a chipped tooth to make it look normal again. Once again, simply a wonderful dentist!

Dr. Mahler is a fantastic dentist. He does a thorough job and even checks your jaws. I’ve never had a dentist do that before. I had some issues with a lil stone developing in my cheek, Dr. Mahler told me to monitor it and drink lots of water and rinse with salt water. That lil stone became a bigger issue and caused my salivary glands to swell up whenever I would eat! I was out of town when this happened and called his office. They told me to use some aleve or ibupropfren and it worked. He even called me that weekend to check up on me. That’s customer service! He’s a bit of a talker which is kinda funny since you can’t reply back when he’s working on your mouth :) I highly recommend Dr. Mahler.

Dr. Mahler is awesome! I’ve never experienced such a thorough, professional and kind dentist! Dr. Mahler takes the time to review results of your visit and compares it to previous visits to track improvements or potential problems. He also has this cool mouth cam where you can see your teeth on a TV monitor. He uses this to point out any weak areas or just to explain to you what he did!
I highly recommend him!
