Negative reviews from people who did not have service completed should be removed. Unilocal,please do something about that! This company does fabulous work. Sure, it takes a few weeks to get on their calendar, but that’s because they are busy, and they’re busy because they are good. Trust me, they are worth it. They dig out the stuff that you didn’t even know was there.

If you have gutter guards installed, GutterMonkeys will charge you additionally to remove them and will NOT replace them. I ended up cancelled the service appointment.

Approx. 1.5 months ago I called and set up an appointment with gutter monkeys to come out to clean my house and garage’s gutters. They were getting real bad from the lack of maint from the previous owner. They told me they would be out sometime in the next 2 weeks. A week later i come home and my house’s gutters seem to be cleaned. I noticed they did not clean my garage so I called back and they said «Oh you didn’t ask for garage cleaning, only the house, that’ll be extra and i have to reschedule it». So I rolled my eyes knowing I had already asked once for this and said sure thing, I dont have time to do it myself…
They came out and cleaned it within the next week and left another bill. a week later it rained and water was pouring from my front gutter and i naively attributed it to a possible issue with the gutters themselves. Fast forward to 2 weeks ago I have a contract on my roof to take down a large antenna which once again was left there due to lack of maint. on the old owners part.
He gets up and says oh man these gutters are clogged bad… I said dude i just had them cleaned a month and a half ago and i have no real big trees near my houses gutters specially in the back were he said it was the worst. I get up there and all four corners have their drain spouts clogged solid. Also the covers, which are also clogged have been tossed to the side in a collection. The kicker is that’s not my biggest issue, He shows me an area in the corner next to the gutters where the shingles have been ripped off and the bare roof is exposed (roof is less than 3 years old). He says aw crap you gotta have that fixed asap that’ll ruin your roof! He goes «who the heck was up here last!!!» I say, well the gutter monkeys were a month and a half ago… and then it all clicks… I called and spoke with someone who said they were sorry and they’ll have a manager call me. So he calls me back and says that its been a rough season and I cant expect the gutters to still be cleaned and that they would NEVER damage a roof and if that happened why didn’t i call sooner. I told him well obviously I don’t have time to go up and double check your shoddy work, and that i shouldn’t have too in the first place! He says hell have someone go check it out. Fast forward to today my wife calls from home saying someone is stomping around in the back yard and threw his ladder onto the back of the house which scared the crap outta her. He then calls me moments later and he goes «Yeah, Im here, All this stuff in your gutters is new», (Bullshit, i saw it myself, it was practically composted JAMMED into my down spouts) and then he says «Saw the damage to the roof, its pretty bad, you should get that fixed quick, but were not responsible, its not us». I just hung up… it was that or drive to my house and throw him from my roof forcefully… WARNING TO ALL… They want to appear as a competent and organized company but their company name really says a lot about them… lol oh the irony and foreshadowing… I will not only never use them ever again, I will make it a point to tell people how bad they were. I was recommended by my father and he stated that he had to stop using them due to their poor performance and sloppy work as of late as well, he as well has started telling his friends and our family to avoid them at all costs… If you are still reading this there is hope for you,… do not, do not use these guys!!! I have to spend more money to have my gutters re cleaned by a competent company AND have my roof repaired before the damage they caused to it rots the corner of my house. I dont know if im the rule or the exception here for the reviews left but i feel cheated… Thanks a lot Gutter Monkeys…

Sometimes it can be a service lapse in between the request and the actual cleaning, but they do a good job at a fair price. 110.00 for me with the discount. Will use them again.

Requested a quote online, never received a response. Two weeks later I called them and they told me they do not come to Homer Glen.
They are a Big Zero for (lack of) communication !!!

I would recommend this company for gutter cleaning. It was easy to set up online/​email, they were responsive and honest. They quoted me a price and when the guy came to do the work, he indicated my gutters were pretty clean and only had one bad spot that needed cleaning. As a result, he charged be less than quoted.

First caveat: I can not rate Gutter Monkeys on their quality of work, because the problem is that we didn’t get to see their work! I filled out their online form and requested service, not wanting my husband climbing ladders and taking that risk anymore as he’s getting older. They emailed my husband and said they’d be out in two weeks. Almost 4 weeks went by with no further word from Gutter Monkeys, so my husband went in to panic mode with freezing rain in the forecast and insisted that I hold the ladder all around the house with him while he once again climbed up and did all the gutters.
Gutter Monkeys needs to improve their communication on expected timing. This was a complete fail. Will try someone else next time!

This was my first time using Gutter Monkeys and I am writing my first review in thanks for the recommendations that led me to this company. The builder next door said something was wrong with my gutter, and it might be leaves, etc., so I called Gutter Monkeys. As promised, they came within the 14-​day timeframe. The foreman was very polite and professional. They not only cleaned my gutters, but a follow-​up call was done several days later to let me know that my gutters needed to be re-​pitched on one side and maybe a downspout added. That was invaluable information. A bill with convenient payment options was left in my mailbox since I was not at home. They also gave me a call the day they were coming out. Very pleased with the service.

The boys came out after more than 2 weeks after my husband contacted them of possible gutter cleaning.
They were quick! Cleaned it as fast as I can blink… the gutters in our garage needed serious cleaning. Knocked on the door when they arrived and left the bill in our mailbox as promised.
Hopefully i don’t need their business again… but if we do, I will not hesitate to call them for it.

I had a small leak in my house and was trying to figure out where it was coming from. Called Gutter Monkeys to clean out my gutters — which I hadn’t done ONCE since I moved here two years ago. They quoted me $ 115. No one wants to pay that and I wasn’t even sure what was up there, so it seemed like a lot to pay when I wasn’t sure I NEEDED the service. Still, I thought a clogged gutter could be the culprit. Turns out, there wasn’t much debris in the gutters at all, so they lowered my fee to $ 75. AND told me the gutter was off kilter and fixed it for me.

When I called Gutter Monkeys Colleen was patient and very helpful with my questions. She’s the best. I was home when the guys showed up and watched them do an outstanding job. It was great watching them make the problem disappear! They knew their work, worked neatly with no mess, and were done in about 15 minutes. I would recommend this company to my daughter, my best friend, and anyone else whose wife did not want him going up on the roof to fix a clogged gutter.

THE NAME SAYS IT ALL! They magically clean your gutters beautifully every time! I’ve been using them for many years and they are truly an amazing service company. They call if they see something on the roof you should know about and leave the debris next to your garbage in black plastic bags. You call and schedule your appointments and they put you on the list… within a few days or a week or two depending on the season it’s done! Couldn’t recommend anyone higher.

They cleaned our gutters today and did a great job! I’d definitely recommend them and plan in using them again this fall. Great service!

Have hired them two springs in a row now and they tell you when they are coming and do a great job of cleaning gutters. They leave a few bags of debris and it is amazing how much they clean out of your gutters. Will be hiring again this spring.

I sincerely love The Gutter Monkeys. We have a huge helicopter tree in front of our house that has become the bane of my existence. We need our gutters cleaned three times a year because of this monstrosity.
The past few rains have really done a number on our gutters. For days it seemed the water would just pour in sheets over my office window. The sound of it drove me crazy. We have three different sized ladders in our home, but none were tall enough to reach the gutters. Rather than bother a neighbor again, we called the Gutter Monkeys.
The Gutter Monkeys are fast, thorough, and clean! There was no muck on my patios, or my front lawn. The only evidence that they left was the bill in my mailbox. If you are home, they will give you a rundown on the condition of your gutters, roof etc… they don’t do repairs on such things, but it’s nice to get an unbiased review.
They are easy to book, and reasonably priced.
