I am a licensed aesthetician and massage therapist, I strive for result-​oriented treatments. I have gained invaluable working experience, all of which have led me to the opening of my own space. I want to provide clients with services that I pride myself on and would want to experience myself. I will continue to stay educated and strive to stay at the forefront with the knowledge of new products and services to provide excellence to my clientele.

I absolutely love Maura! I have had numerous massages, facials, and a chemical peel at Go Spa. I love how quiet, small, and relaxing the space is. I forget I am in the middle of the city and just zone out and relax. I usually visit Maura for a massage when I am having some strange ache or pain and she ALWAYS helps me feel better. She isn’t afraid to make it hurt (in a good way!) I would go to Maura for any of the services she offers and I know I will be happy with the service and results. I was so pleasantly surprised!
Given the neighborhood small business spa, I was expecting to have a nice experience, but this was one of the best massages I’ve ever had. I’ve been to all kinds of spas in Chicago and on vacations, and I would say Maura at Go Spa ranks up there with the best of them.
The spa itself is still small and no frills, but for the price and the location and the hospitality and the kick ass massage, I will definitely be back!

I found Go Spa through a Gilt deal and am SO glad I did! So far I’ve had a PCA chemical peel and custom facial with microdermabrasion as well as multiple brow waxes, all with Maura. She is so sweet and welcoming and each service has been fantastic. It’s clear to see she is well educated in her craft and has a passion for great customer service. She also runs monthly specials which are great if you’re trying to beautify on a budget like I am. Highly recommend, you won’t regret it!

I saw Maura for a facial and brow wax and she was amazing. I felt so pampered and my skin was positively radiant afterwards. Everything was very professional and the atmosphere was very relaxing. I definitely recommend Go Spa for anyone who wants to treat themselves.

Found Maura through a Gilt deal and was blown away by the facial I was given. I have fairly sensitive skin and she did a wonderful job being thorough without irritating at all. I have been back for massages and more facials and she is great at it all!

I saw Calli for a customized facial and brow wax. My experience was more than relaxing and refreshing! A foot massage was even included! Aside from your awesome skin afterwards, you will notice Calli’s professionalism, passion, and knowledge of skin care and each product she uses. She spent a lot of time explaining each step of my facial and the benefits of each product. My skin had felt awful from the Chicago winter, but I left feeling completely rejuvenated.
I have had facials in the past, but my experience at GoSpa was definitely the best! GoSpa and Calli will not disappoint you!

My mom and I paid a visit to Go Spa in July 2014. We got massages for my mom’s birthday and Maura was fabulous!!! We have gone to many spas and have gotten plenty of massages. However, my mom and I agreed that Maura was by far one of the best massage therapists we’ve ever had! She even uses warm towels during the massage! We had never experienced that before and it was such a pleasant surprise and a very nice touch! Now we are ready to take my dad to go spa for a facial and massage! Actually, that’s our Christmas gift to him! :-)

It was my first time at GoSpa and my first time meeting Calli. After my experience with Calli, I am definitely going to be a returning customer. She is professional, friendly, on-​time, and very knowledgeable about her trade. She rocked the Brazilian wax and pays attention to detail without jeopardizing your comfort. She used hard wax and was pretty efficient with it, I do admit Brazilians can suck (especially if you are like me and shave too) but she managed to make it suck less.
I also was interested in a facial treatment while I was there. The entire day I seemed to go back and forth between, do I want a facial? Microdermabrasion? A peel? Something else that I don’t even know of yet? Anyways, Calli was so responsive texting back and forth with me and once she saw me in person and got a better understanding of my skin needs, she knew exactly what to do. I have hyperpigmentation that has haunted me despite expensive creams and dermatologist visits. She used a PCA peel treatment with hydroquinolone and talked me through the whole thing. This was my first peel so I didn’t know how I would respond but she was so attentive and knowledgeable, I really trusted her judgement. And I am glad I did, my skin is already glowing. She even texted me the next day to check up on me. I am so thankful I came across her promo on groupon. I highly recommend her to everyone!

If you are looking for quality services that are done right I would highly recommend getting them done at Go Spa. I have been there twice now to get a Brazilian wax and I would not go anywhere else. Previously, I got one done at another spa in the city and it totally ruined my trip where I was planning on spending most of the time in a bathing suit. I was red for 5 days with bumps and discomfort. After Maura did mine, I didn’t have any of those symptoms. There was barely even any redness. She takes her time doing things and she is meticulous about her work. I have also gotten my lashes done by Maura so they would look fuller in my wedding pictures. The results were beyond what I expected. I didn’t want them to look fake but rather full and natural and that’s exactly how they turned out. I am so excited to see how they will look on my wedding day. You will not be disappointed if you visit Maura at Go Spa, I guarantee it!

This place is great and Maura is awesome! I have had both a massage and facial. Maura really takes time to understand your pain points and your skin type before completing any service.
I love how comfortable she made me feel and how warm and welcome the spa was. I will definitely be back for more.

This review is very belated — I’ve been to Maura many times for massages and she is the absolute best. As a chronic sloucher and cyclist, my back needs attention at least once a month and I have tried nearly every masseuse in the city. Maura is the perfect mix of pressure and relaxation. It is difficult to find someone who can give a great massage that is pain-​free and calming but also has a positive long-​term impact on your muscles. Maura is it. Can’t say enough positive things. Plus, scheduling is incredibly easy, payment is easy, and she is just a really cool person. So go there.

GoSpa is a great spot to get your pamper on. The salon is right next to it’s sister business Go Cycle spin studio (just look for purple and you’ll find them), very accessible from either Sedgewick or even North/​Clybourn.
I’ve gone in for both a massage and a facial treatment and have left each time feeling like a million bucks. Maura runs the spa and does a great job of explaining what she’s doing and qualifying you for the right treatments. I was very nervous to experiment with micro derm or face peels and she was able to walk me through both options very patiently.
I left the spa and my face looked slightly dewy if anything and am noticing just slight peeling that you would experience after a sun burn. Definitely not as scary as they make it out to be (cue Sex & The City example of Samantha before Carrie’s book singing) Yes you should do your research on what strength is best for you, but if you are using Unilocal clearly you get this already ;)
With all the massive chains it’s refreshing to be able to go somewhere local where you don’t feel rushed and questioning where you just spent your money. Plus I am always a huge supporter of a female run business.
Tip: Keep your eyes peeled on her Facebook page as she runs some good deals every month or so
