First visit and the Dr was extremely friendly and really worked with me and my insurance to get me taken care of.

I’ve been coming here for over 5 years and have always been satisfied with my prescription. Dr. Goska is incredibly nice and personable, and his staff is very helpful when it comes to teaching one to stick their fingers in their own eye.

I have been going to Dr. Goska since 2003 and I have to say that he has been the best. Dr. Goska is a true professional and provides a high level of service and standards in eyecare business. My children and I plan to continue to use his services.

I have visited Dr. Goska for vision care for many years … for myself, my son with autism, and my other son. I can’t say enough compliments about the service and quality. Dr. Goska is very thorough, and takes time to answer questions and discuss concerns. He is great with kids. Office is clean and comfortable, and front staff great. I love them. Thanks!

EyeCare of Wrigleyville has a great staff and an excellent Doctor. If you are looking for a good optometrist, give them a call.

After moving back to the city, I was in desperate need of a eye dr. The dr here was very professional, easy to talk to, answered all my questions and LOVE the fact that you can pay 50% upfront for frames/​contact lenses and remainder at the time of pick up. My appt was at 10am, and from start to finish– including payment was just over an hour. I’m happy to say– I’ve found my new eye dr.

Dr. Goska is a very thorough and caring provider. He took a lot of time with me on several occasions… even one time after I stopped in unexpectedly. I have been to several providers over the years and never stuck with them. Dr. Goska has great bedside manner. I am very satisfied with my care at his office.

I had a great experience here my contacts he prescribed previously where not comfortable, so he gave me some different ones to try out. They are much better and he also checked me again at no charge. He really cares and wants you to leave happy I have referred several coworkers and my clients to him as well. Thank you doctor Goska.

The front staff is unprofessional and horribly rude. They really don’t know what they’re doing. Not trained professionals. Dr. Gaska is good, but I honestly have been to better. He missed a stigmatism my regular doctor picked up. Under– staffed, spasmodic staff, over priced eye ware.

I grew up in a small town and was looking for an eye care experience that was small, personal and felt like the one I had growing up. With EyeCare of Wrigleyville, I definitely found it. It’s small, comforting and Doctor Goska and staff are excellent. The doc is friendly, quirky and lovely to talk to during the eye exams. He answers questions with skill, always lets you know what’s what and is generally a nice guy. I definitely look forward to my appointments.
I also appreciated that they encouraged me to try different styles of glasses. They weren’t forceful or anything, but just said «pick three different types that you’d like to try» and lo and behold, a style COMPLETELY different that my standard looked professional but totally fit my personality.
This place is excellent and I highly recommend it.

Been going to see Dr. Gaska for years. He’s great! He takes his time and explains everything in detail. Super nice doctor! I took a mini hiatus due to insurance purposes and went somewhere else for my eye exam and contacts. The contacts were a horrible fit. I bit the bullet and went back to Dr Gaska, They got me the correct contacts and worked out a payment plan for me. He went as far as offering to swap my incorrect lenses for the correct ones at his office at no charge. I won’t go anywhere else. I’m a lifer w Eyecare of Wrigleyville .:)

Friendly/​knowledgeable Dr. Staff is very helpful and know their stuff. Good location and it’s easy to find free parking right in front of the office.

Even though I moved away from the area, I still return here because of the phenomenal service and care that I receive from the doctor Goska and his staff.
I would recommend him to anyone who is looking for a new provider — he is calm, patient and very kinda — but also very informative!

Dr. Goska went to great lengths to find the right contacts and perfect prescription for my eyes. Over four different visits, he patiently worked with me, in good humor, and had me try on every single brand of contacts to get the right fit because of my tricky eye shape and prescription.
Other eye doctors over the past 16 years have continuously told me they could only do so much and my blurry left eye was just something I’d have to get used to. When I told him this, he promised to keep trying until I was satisfied. Though I’m sure it was inconvenient for him, he lived up to his promise. I couldn’t be more thrilled.

Doctor was nice although seemed not to be the brightest.
The problem? I wanted a copy of my prescription, they refused.
I had to go on an emergency trip out of the country for a funeral and they didn’t have my contacts in stock so I told them I needed to take the prescription somewhere that I can pick up right away for the trip.
After much fuss, the woman gave me the prescription but not the diameter. They then refused to release it when the vendor called them to get it.
Really? Last thing I needed. And if they were able to get me my contacts in time I would’ve just bought it from them. But I had to take an emergency trip for a funeral. Did they really need to give me grief about the prescription that I PAID for?
Terrible business practice. I would NEVER go there again! Shame on them!

Dr. Goska provides outstanding care. He listens and works with you carefully, explaining everything you need in simple, clear terms. You might have to sit and wait a few minutes, but the service is good. Highly recommend.
I have moved several miles away in the city but continue to get my eyes checked here.

I woke up with a deteriorated vision and swelling in one of my eyes. I had no insurance and did not know anyone in Chicago since I just moved here. A brief google inquiry directed me to Eye Care Wrigleyville practice around the corner.
It was a great choice. I had no appointment but the stuff and the doctor did everything to accommodate my walk-​in. The doctor was very attentive and listened to my problem carefully. The exam was thorough and the care I got exceeded my expectations.
I felt relevant and I sensed a compassion from people who took care of me at this practice. It was a warm feeling. Moreover the doctor does read medical literature and he stays up to date on current medical research in his field.
Recommending Dr. Groska and his staff is the least I can do to thank him for taking a good care of me this morning.

Dr Goska is one of the greatest. I have not been to see him in some time, having moved to another state, but his office is one place I was very glad to find. Just go, you will be glad you did.

I’ve been going here for 5 years and each appointment is an «enjoyable» experience because Dr. Goska is so funny, the appointment flows with ease, and you can tell he really loves doing his job. He’s so laid back when I can’t tell the difference between «#1 and #2». He actually helps you pick out glasses too and tells you if they fit your face (I always have a tough time deciding!) and makes sure to make you understand what your insurance will cover and what is extra so you’re not surprised in the end.
The front desk guy (I should know his name by now) has worked there since before I started going and really knows how to do his job and is always very personable and professional. I have nothing bad to say about Eye Care of Wrigleyville or Dr. Goska and would recommend it to anyone in the area!

I went to Eye Care of Wrigleyville primarily because they accept my insurance and are conveniently located (corner of Addison and Damen — there is a bus stop right outside and the Addison brown line stop is just down the street). Dr. Goska was very nice, thorough, and explained everything very well, and the other staff members I met during my appointment were friendly and extremely patient (it took me a long time to choose my frames… a very long time). The office is comfortable, and I never felt rushed. I will definitely be paying them a visit when it is time for my next eye exam.
