Tim at this business made an appointment to inspect my offices for bed bug presence and then cancelled an hour later due to the location of our business (by neighborhood) allegedly for the «safety of their dogs,» but no elaboration was offered on what that means. We are located in a multi-​tenant warehouse space in what might be referred to as an economically challenged area. But that is, I think, the overly generous interpretation. I will leave the more realistic conclusion for the reader to draw. When questioned further Tim told me that he is «pretty sure (our neighborhood) has a lot of crime» and when I asked him what he though might happen to his dogs, he declined to elaborate. He allowed that maybe their policy needed review, but also told me that there was no one else I could speak to about this issue and the «policy.»
We are on a street full of businesses and property owners. Myself and my business partner, as well as our employees, bike to work nearly every day, morning and night, so it is a stretch to imagine that a person coming here in an automobile in broad daylight has much to worry about, but none of these protestations helped.
Don’t count on this business to help you unless you live or work in a relatively affluent area apparently. They redline based on neighborhood.
