Whoa! What year is it anyway? I stumbled in here during Gallery Night a couple of weeks ago and was blown away. GREAT art — there happened to be a Chihuly show — a guy who’s art I’ve always loved. And his story makes his art even more inspiring. All the other art in the gallery was fantastic as well, and predictably high priced. Some really cool and amazing stuff.
And the party — wait, what?! Is this the early 90’s again?! The booze was flowing like water, and the place was packed with hot people. I mean pulchritudinous, not high temperature. And a very respectful, well mannered crowd — no fragile art met the floor as a result of waving drinks. Including my own. Really generous party, and FUN!
But the art. .. whoa. Probably the best stuff I’ve seen in River North in a long time. Maybe RN is back, finally, after a hiatus of dull for a few years. Here’s to it!
