The pizza is decent, definitely not the«go-to» but something different. Typically there is something new on the menu each time I visit. However, I’ve experienced a couple undesirable factors here that most definitely stem from poor management. It’s a shame because the potential is definitely there IMO. For instance, this is my 2nd time in a row being here having to wait 30 mins for their«special.» I know, fool me once, shame on you… But at a za joint that specializes in by the slice, I shouldn’t have to worry about that. Also, the staff uses their bare hands and touches your food right in front of your face. Not sure how that is not a health code violation. Lastly, when your order is finally ready, they have no proper way of addressing who’s it is. Instead of issuing a number or taking down your name, they look around and yell when your slices are ready. That part bothers me the least, just seems like there are a lot more organized ways of doing that. If any staff happens to read this, please note I think you’re doing a good job, but are in dire need of a better mgr.

Really cool, unique pizza available by the slice late night. Don’t expect traditional Chicago pizza here, but it’s worth a try. Explore something new here

Just ordered from this place last night for the first time — I can’t believe what I’ve been missing! This was some of the best pizza I’ve had in Chicago. I ordered a fairly plain pie last night, so I’m excited to try some of their specialty pizzas. The only reason I’m not awarding the full 5 stars is that it took a little over an hour and a half to arrive, which I think is far too long for a Wednesday night. If they could cut that delivery time down, this would definitely be in my top 3 pizza spots.

I like their pizza selection — some classics, some hearty, and some creative. The pizza and atmosphere reminds me of an updated Santullos(btw, I love Santullos, so this is just a step up :)). Also, the first time I came here, I brought my little sib(like Big Brothers Big Sisters little sib) here thinking that a pizza joint is always kid friendly, but some how it was a little unsettling. Great place for groups and friends, maybe not so great place for little kids.

After hearing positive reviews from other industry folk who work nearby Dimos in Wicker Park, and after partaking of the religious experience eating a slice of their Macaroni and Cheese Pizza is via a friend’s takeout order, I stopped in today — Monday, around noon. First of all, the atmosphere coming in is lovely. It strikes a great balance between restaurant and«coffee shop». Everything is nicely spread out, from the high-tops to the different-sized booths along the two walls. Outlets — and a 4-plug outlet each, nonetheless — are very handily installed right alongside each booth. The internet login info was placed clearly at the front counter, and throughout my visit I had no trouble getting or staying online. Placing my order was easy as pie(ha ha. I’m so sorry), and the(gorgeous, friendly) woman on the counter tipped me off about their Monday beer special. $ 3 pints on all draft beer! While the actual draft selection is a little narrow, the quality of brews makes up for it. I ordered a Solemn Oath brew for my first drink, and I’m eyeing the Moody Tongue IPA after this. They have a few more selections in the bottle in a little fridge inlaid in the counter, too. Better quality and pricing than, say, Tavern around the corner. I was(am — I’m still chowing down here!) damn hungry coming in, so I got the 12″ cheese pizza. It’s good! It’s nothing 100% blow-your-mind spectacular, but let’s be real, here, it’s a plain cheese pizza — I’m hardly giving them a fair chance to wow me this time. Except for the price: 6 smaller-but-certainly-not-lacking, hot fresh pieces of pizza for $ 9, plus my $ 3 beer. Lunch for TWELVEBUCKS, with leftover pizza slices to take home? Come on, you can’t beat that. Dimos, I’m a believer. I’ll be back. Mainly for that crab rangoon pizza special I think I saw coming up the week of the 18th? Mmmmmmm…

I have only been to the 6 Corners location on Damen Ave and I have only tried their VEGAN options. I’m on a lifestyle change right now… so I haven’t tried their yummy sounding meat and cheese filled offerings, yet. The Argyle is flavorful, but it doesn’t have the mock-gooiness that I like on my pizzas. But for being vegan and all it is good, it just doesn’t seem like I’m eating a pizza pizza. The Vegan Philly DOES have the gooey cheese factor, which I thoroughly appreciate. The Seiten is not homemade, it’s Upton’s brand, so it could definitely be better. But this is a great substitute for pizza! They are offering a set an alternative called«garden delight» which is seasoned and shredded mushrooms, but then the whole pizza is too mushy in texture. Pass on that. All in all, I appreciate their vegan offerings, and they have single slice options even of their vegan pizzas so you can always try a slice before commiting. The large pizza is large in size and price… but I like it big! Also, get the punch card although it says they only punch it for salads and such, everytime I have ordered a pizza they have punched it. Finally, grab a bottled soda, the Mexican coke and Limeade(very sugary) are delicious. Plus, you need that carbonation when eating pizza. TLDR: 6 corners location review of vegan options only, argyle is flavorful but not pizza-esque, vegan Philly is good vegan pizza subsitute, get a punch card, get a bottled soda, good place to go late night with non vegan friends: something for everyone, hipster atmosphere, good group setting, loud music

I occasionally come to this Dimo’s when I don’t feel up to walking to Santulo’s for their weekday happy hour. The pizza is usually OK. Sometimes toasted for little too long though. I went in this afternoon. Fairly busy, but no line. I noticed the owner chillin in the dining area. Because of that, I was really quite appalled when THREE different team members behind the counter failed to acknowledge my presence. I waited more than a reasonable amount of time before leaving too. I know there’s always tasking to be done, but as a member of the service industry, I know that it only takes a moment to acknowledge a patron and that doing so should always take priority. Maybe I shouldn’t expect stellar customer service from an average pizza joint? But I do. Do better.

They have a large selection of fun pizzas and can accommodate a lot of dietary constraints! They serve vegan and gluten free options in addition to fun takes on Philly cheesesteak, Mac n cheese pizza, buffalo chicken, etc. The pizzas by the slice are always rotating here.

So… I loved the pizza… big slices… lots of flavor and their sauce is soooo good. It was delicious and I will certainly recommend to friends and family. However I did take away one star since my friends ordered a pizza for delivery. It came all smashed and cold. However they did do a refund and it still tasted really good though. All in all… probably won’t order delivery but will certainly drive down to them.

My review is limited to the wicker park location, and only for pizza slices. I have not tried the LakeView location, and have not tried ordering a whole pie. Friends of mine tried a whole pie in the Lakeview location, in November 2015, and said it was delicious. This review is for the Wicker Park location which I dined at in August 2015. My friend and I agreed the peperoni and sausage slices we had there were had a distinctively charcoal taste to them. And I don’t mean wood fired taste; this was something different. Quite unpleasant. The staff were friendly enough, but we were also turned off by the micro sized soft drinks; Several dollars for a tiny bottle. So I am left wondering, is the Lakeview location any better? A lady friend of mine years ago said she loved the pizza there; but I’ve never been there. Will check it out tonight and update my review. Sorry for the one star, but if it’s any consolation, I’d also give one star to Five Guys.

Amazing joint. Ordered from GrubHub left specific instructions to call my cell because the buzzer was broken and the number on the GrubHub account wasn’t correct. Waited 2 hours for my pizza. No call. No show. Called GrubHub and they said they attempted to deliver but no one answered. I asked the lady to look at the instructions and after she said she needed to call them and then she’d call me back. 5 minutes later she called back and said they were going to refund me and the GM said next time I wanted to order to call the place directly and the pizza was on them, but it was too late to get it that night. I called back 2 days later explained my situation to the girl on the phone and after a little confusion she came back on the phone and sure enough free pie! So to the food now. Pizza showed up really quickly, still super warm and amazing. Perfect amount of sauce, cheese, and toppings. Super fresh. Was annoyed the night of the debacle but they made up for it in spades. Will most definitely be ordering from them again. In this world of crappy customer service this place is the gold standard of amazing customer service! Well done guys!

On the final night of my «Vegan Chicago Weekend», my friends brought me here. I was told they had the best vegan pizza around. We walk in and the place is totally«hipster», I LOVE it. They’re playing Pokemon Gameboy theme music through the speakers and it’s freaking awesome! I initially had a slice of their Philly Cheesesteak and a slice of their Cheesy Potato along with their vegan ranch. Everything was spectacular. It was so good that I bought another slice of Philly Cheesesteak. I highly recommend this place to anyone, not just vegans.

I love the pizza, but not necessarily the crust– it’s a little too thick and spongy for me and sometimes it seems soggy. The beer selection is small, but rotates a lot– as about their monthly special. The draft beer is served in a small-seeming mug for the price though, so be warned. Dimo’s always has vegan slices available, which makes them stand out and they tend to serve pizza very late. If they don’t have something you like, just ask what’s coming out next and that may wet your appetite. All of the workers are very kind!

I wanted to save my 100th review for something really, really, really special, even though it isn’t chronological. As soon as we left Dimo’s I knew this would be my coveted hundredth review. THEQUICKANDDIRTY: ambiance: 5⁄5 service: 5⁄5 food: 6⁄5 *bonus for vegan other: very conveniently located near the blue line Damen stop THELONG-DRAWNOUT: After consulting my trusty Unilocaler’s and reviews from some local vegans, I knew that Dimo’s was a must-do place on my must-do list. Being vegan menu studying before venturing is a requirement. I was ecstatic to see that the offerings were virtually 1:1 — meaning, for every 1 slaughter-house pizza for you meat eaters there was 1 astonishing version of that pizza, veganized. I was PUMPED! After finding out that we were outside of Dimo’s delivery area, my partner and I made a date night to sample this gem. At first I was disappointed they didn’t deliver in our area but after going I am so glad they don’t; they are too. First, I would have them deliver three times a day, everyday. Second, I would miss out on all of the great folks behind the counter. All of those amazing folks who not only make this awesome deliciousness but who have the best customer service I’ve experienced in a long time. When you walk in, the store opens itself up with high ceilings, swank drop lights and a large seating area. Head up to the counter where you find fresh pies and warm, friendly smiles. You can choose to go by the slice or order a whole pie. We are big foodies and eaters and can confidently say that for us a 12″ pizza was more than enough plus it provided for left-overs. The 20″ mega-heifer pizza would feed a small army; one or two slices from that and you’re golden. What goes best with amazing pizza? Beer. Do they have it? You betcha! Though I wasn’t born in Chicago, I got here as fast as I could so I’m transplant-hometown proud and loyal to my Chicago brands like Goose Island. I’m a big fan of Green Line and was happy to try a new brew from G.I.(not gastrointestinal) on tap at Dimo’s: Blue Line. It paired beautifully with my vegan Mac’N’Cheese pizza. The pizza was OMG-squared good. Perfectly and expertly cooked, the noodles were perfect tenderness and the crust was reminiscent of my favorite New York pizza joint. The pie was blanketed with a delicious alfredo-like sauce and vegan cheese-a-plenty. My partner is not vegan but he loved his chicken-bacon-bbq pizza all the same. I am looking forward to my next visit already and my stomach is growling as I write this review. I can’t wait to try all of their vegan pizzas to find my favorite. I give Dimo’s my highest rating and highest recommendation for vegans and non-vegans which actually isn’t easy to come by. We will definitely be back soon.

One my favorite nights of recent memory ended here. Tired and with a long drive out of the city ahead of me, I stopped here with a friend to grab a couple of late night slices. I was astounded by the selection, and more so, was impressed with how filling the slices were. The flavors weren’t novelty at all, just delicious the whole way through. I’ll be returning.

I swear I’m still on a pizza high… I found this place on instagram and FINALLY made it out to try some mac n cheese pizza. I mean carbs on carbs, how could you not?! It was even better than I had imagined. So good. AND it was only $ 4 for a huge slice. I will definitely be back to try more, if I can convince myself to not ALWAYS order the mac n cheese. I heard they have a chicken and waffles pizza so that’s a must.

First time at this location and I am left in total bliss just as I was two years ago at the Wrigleyville location. I walked in and it is very clean and the pizza makers have an awesome vibe and offered to make whatever I wanted even though I would only get one slice. It is a big open space with couches in front and a tap for water drinkers and cool décor. Food: I am not a vegan kind of girl but I like to try crazy things here and they just so happened to have a vegan philly pizza out and it was spectacular. They also made a version of a Hawaiian pizza just for me. Ringing in at $ 4/slice it is definitely worth it for all the different specialty pizzas and I live in NYC where pizza usually reigns. Also several condiments at the table including sriracha. If you want a crispy slice with interesting toppings Dimos doesn’t disappoint. Oh and Free wifi

This is an update from my initial one star rating when the pizza was burnt. I was incredibly impressed with their customer service, as they promptly followed up and offered me a free pizza, and the person taking my second order was very friendly and understanding. On my second attempt, the employee recommended I get one of their specialty pizzas, as they’re more known for their vegetarian and other pies. So instead of going with my stand-by pepperoni and sausage, I tried their BBQ chicken. Ingredients were great and it was cooked well, but If I’m being honest, the pizza deserves a 3 star rating; however the way they handled the situation deserves an extra star. Props for making a poor experience right– good people obviously work here.
