Awesome service. Fast and personal… My Ampeg SVT-​7PRO was acting up. Deltronics had to order replacement pieces from Ampeg. They worked on it lightning fast. Now my amp’s working better than new. They asked me to call them with any issues. Highly professional, highly recommended. Give them a try. I’ll go with them from now on with any future gear problem. Jon’s the best! Thanks!

Our pair of McIntosh M-​30s are singing in unison now, because of the knowledgeable, capable and fastidious folks at Deltronics. These two tube amps were built mid-​century and they’ve never sounded better! Tube gear that old can be easy to get wrong, but the Deltronics techs knew to «pair» the power tubes; repair — meaning rebuild essentially — the bias in one; test, clean and replace the other tubes and even replace the power cords (!) which was a nice added surprise. They really sing.
These amps have been tested and maintained in some good shops from DC to San Fran, but it’s Deltronics for us from now on. No need to check anywhere else.

I brought Deltronics my Audio Technica LP 120 for some modifications I wanted done. I had a few other shops suggest I buy a higher quality turntable. Cool suggestion but I already invested enough in this thing that I thought it’d be worth to try a few upgrade modifications suggested on the internet. I was not confident in my ability to do it so I reached out to Deltronics. They were more than willing to help me out and were very helpful. They didn’t judge me for not having a «high end turntable» they just did with what I wanted.
The interaction across the board was great. The job was done quicker & cheaper than I expected and I couldn’t be happier with their work. This place is great!
Also snagged an Illinois Entertainer mag. Nice little bonus.

I have heard about these guys getting a bad reputation for being rude and slow, but that must have been in the past. My experience there was stellar. They were polite, helpful, thorough, and quick. John in particular was excellent and really took the time and effort to optimize my tape echo exactly how I wanted it. It was a great experience and I would not hesitate to go back for any repairs I may need!

I have been a mobile DJ for 15 years and have blown many of speakers. I so wish I knew of Deltronics years ago! I went to the Deltronics in Woodridge and was met by the super awesome Amy!!! Excellent customer service! My speaker was fixed in a week! I was not expecting it back that fast.
I am going to Deltronics from here on out!

Couldn’t be more pleased with my first interaction with this company! The chick at the front desk seems detached and distant but so what! My item was fixed properly the first time.

Had my Roland out-​of-​warranty SPD-​S recapped recently these guys. AWESOME SERVICE! I had the thing back in a couple days and at a very fair price. Very, very happy customer.

A great place to take the pieces you really care about. They take the time to diagnose and fix equipment many shops don’t want to mess with. I’ve taken some vintage pieces, and they take the time to fix it right. On one piece there was an issue they missed, and they took the unit back and solved the problem the next day. Very happy with their work.

I have been here for service three different times, every time for different equipment.
The first time I had them set up a guitar and they were solid on that. Pretty basic work.
The second time I had to drop off a guitar amp that had a terrible screeching noise at higher volumes with heavy gain. Over the course of THREE MONTHS I was called to pick this amp up twice, both times only to find out that nothing is fixed whatsoever. The tech kept swearing up and down that he tested the tubes and that wasn’t the problem. I finally said screw it and took it to Pat at Chicago Fret Works, only to have him replace a tube and have it in perfect condition in 2 days. 2 days!!!
The third time i was lucky enough not to deal with the overly apologetic tech and apathetic receptionist because my friend took my Yamaha powered PA mixer for me. They took another 2 ½ MONTHS to fix it, most of that time spent claiming that «the part will be here in a week or two».
If you are an active musician who needs his/​her gear quickly and with no hassle, don’t come here. All you will get is canceled shows and a tech who forgets about you once you’re out the door.

Reasonable price, timely, fantastic work…
So I bought a used Roland MC-​505 from Craigslist a while back. This baby needed some TLC. I took it in yesterday and paid for a diagnostic.
Today I got a call back for a price quote to fix it up. The quote was very reasonable, and I OK’d it. Also, they said it would be done today.
I picked it up a few hours ago and god… this is like a new machine. I’m so happy.

I recently brought my Marantz 2250 into Deltronics for repair; I was experiencing random pops and clicks and it needed to be fixed once and for all. Up to this point I had taken it to three well known Chicago repair men to no avail.
It is also worth mentioning I take excellent care of my audio equipment, I use Caig Deoxit and such.
Anyway, I was told that a couple of my filter caps had worn out and they needed to be replaced. The price I was quoted, $ 400. So I dropped the receiver off and hoped for the best.
In a few weeks I got a phone call from Jim, the technician that worked on the receiver, and he told me the receiver was ready to be picked up, AND the cost was $ 100 less than the originally quoted price, which is always a huge bonus.
In the end, the work he did was phenomenal! I can’t say enough about his skill and his professionalism. The Marantz sounds fantastic, A++++++ …
I will definitely recommend him to my friends.

If I could bump this up to 2.5, I would. The whole experience was very ⁵⁰⁄₅₀. I took two CDJ-​800 units in here for repair. nothing bizarre. On one hand, the technician I talked to was friendly on the phone, straight-​up with his quotes, and the work seems totally sound so far. On the other hand, the turnaround time on both were terrible. They both went in ¹⁰⁄₂₂. the first took almost 1 month, but the second wasn’t ready until the beginning part of December. I was told two separate times on the phone that the part was ordered and they were waiting for it to arrive. and then, the part was ordered and waiting to arrive. again. It really, really felt like they were just buying time.
I also don’t get how they didn’t have parts available in-​shop for ridiculously-​common, industry-​standard CD decks that have been around since 2003. but maybe that’s normal.
The opinions from friends about their service also were totally split down the middle, soooo obviously my experience wasn’t totally unique.

These guys are great at what they do! Have been going to them for a couple of years now and have never been less than thrilled with their services. As a gigging musician, I know there’s always a chance that something in my rig is going to break. It’s good to know that if and when that happens, I can bring it to Deltronics and it’ll get fixed.

I brought a JBL monitor there for warranty work. Their turn around time was amazing. No fuzz, great service.

I own a lot of electronics that get a lot of use and, well, they break. I’ve accepted that. I used to bring all of my broken gear to Deltronics, but the turnaround time started to get too long for me, so I found other places for some things. Nevertheless, Deltronics has always done a quality job and the staff are always professional and straight forward.
My last two visits, however, have been outstanding. I brought in a bass amp and they fixed it and turned it around in just a couple days. Then I brought in a power supply for my mixing console. I called after hours, about 7 PM, and they answered the phone. I explained that I really needed it back as soon as humanly possible and said they’d wait for me so I could bring it in that night. I rushed it over and sure enough, they got it on the bench that night and I had a working power supply before 6 PM the next day. Incredible. I had a long weekend of recording coming up and they saved my —— — — - —. Plus, it is running cooler and quieter than it ever has.
The repair cost was a little more than I hoped it would be, but for the speed that they got it done, I can’t complain. You get what you pay for! That power supply is the heart of my system and everyday without it would have been a loss of hundreds of dollars. I can’t thank them enough!

Deltronics did it again. They repaired a $ 35,000 video matrix in 24hrs for me and did it under the quoted price. I can’t think of another shop that can even come close to that and I have used all repair shops in the Chicagoland area. Don’t listen to some dbag dj with his crappy jbl speakers he keeps blowing. If you fry a woofer nobody will warranty it. How bout you use the meters on your mixer. The best of the best.

Brought my synth in March 1 for a checkup. The next day they called and said there was nothing obvious wrong with it and all it needed was calibration and cleaning. It’ll cost $ 150 and should be done in a week or two. Good.
Three weeks go by and no phone calls. So I called and was told they were wrapping it up and I can come in the next day to pick it up. Great. When I show up the next day at 5pm they tell me it’s not ready, but it should be the following week. They’ll definitely call when it’s done.
Another two weeks go by, no calls. I call back and tell them I have a show coming up the week after and definitely need the synth by then. No problem. It’ll be done by the end of the week. No phone call. I call back Monday and am told they are doing some final tests to make sure the first oscillator isn’t drifting. They’ll have it done by the end of the day Tuesday since my show is on Wed.
Two weeks go by. No phone calls. I call back and am told the oscillator is still drifting. What have they been doing for the past six weeks?!
A week later I call back and am told that Ron will give me a final update later in the afternoon, after he finishes his lunch and has one more look at the synth. Ron calls at 5.30 and tells me he’s on the way to RadioShack to pick up capacitors.
The following week, full TWO MONTHS after I brought the synth in for a routine checkup, they call and tell me it’s ready. All excited I walk in the next day and am told it’s going to cost more than the initially quoted $ 150. Not a word of apology, no attempt to explain what had happened or make up for their unbelievably disrespectfull business practice. Nothing. I said all I am paying is $ 150. They said OK, it’s going to be $ 152 with tax. !!!
I put $ 100 on the counter (I’d already paid $ 50 at the beginning as a deposit) and said this is all I have. The receptionist made a snide comment about losing money and I walked out with my synth.
Never, ever, am I going to go back and I am making sure none of my friends do either. Deltronics does not deserve anyone’s business or money.

Fixed my Line 6 DL4 in 2 Days with no charge.
HIGHLY recommended.

This place is a joke. I would not trust them to fix anything.

Yeah they fixed by Yamaha keyboard. I expect that. It’s like going to the KFC and giving a high rating because you received some chicken (okay maybe bad example). Anyway, their business practice and attitude were appalling such that I would seek other options for future business.
I called in because my Yamaha digital piano had some sticking keys. They said, «Oh, it could be under warranty. Bring it in to us, WE’LL call Yamaha for you and see if they will ship a new set of keys. You would only have to pay labor — $ 150 – 200.) I thought it was okay but I decided that I would call Yamaha myself. They were very helpful on the phone and it turns out — oh yeah — Yamaha pays for parts AND labor. So I asked them to arrange the replacement with Deltronics since Deltronics seemed happy to take advantage of me in that respect.
So I haul it in one day. Go pick it up a few days later. Get it home and there is a flagrantly sticking key. Awesome. Call and leave a message Tuesday night that I was unhappy. No response. Called again Friday and got accused of banging it on something. Brought it in, condescending staff again accusing me of breaking it. They made good on things but not without a lot of hassle, lost trust, and a one star on Unilocal
