History

Established in 1962.

Initially started in the 1950’s by Frank Wochinski in the basement of his Chicago home, the business moved to Touhy Ave in 1962 when Frank’s son Bruce (Conrad) graduated from Northwestern and took the helm. Bruce Conrad Consultants was re-​named Conrad, Craig & Martin Inc. in the early 1980’s when Bruce’s oldest son Jeff (Craig) joined the firm. Son Todd (Martin) followed two years later. After the tragic passing of Bruce and then Jeff, daughter Kim joined the firm in 2009, bringing her corporate accounting and tax experience to the family business. While we have additional staff, especially during the tax season, the business continues to be, at its core, a family business.

We’ve been clients for many, many years and if you need someone who really knows taxes, then this is the place for you. This is a family run business that, yes, had some rough years as they tragically lost some key family members, but they’ve always done right by us. We feel part of the family after all these years and couldn’t imagine having our taxes done anywhere else. And they’re super affordable for the professional service you get.

Dear Conrad Craig & Martin–
I am only giving you one star because this rating is absolute. If there was a negative zillion stars this would be you. Let me explain why.
I have filed my taxes last February, that’s right f*cking feburary. I haven’t received my tax file back. No biggie, I don’t need all the info, I can pull this from the IRS website. What I am extremely disgusted with is that your firm, didn’t respond to my emails, phone messages, faxes, letters, and even a phone message from my dad, your other client that you will most likely loose. All I want is to pay you. I have been trying to reach your firm since last February to pay you what I owe, and get my tax file back. Nevermind the fact that it took you six f*cking weeks to file my shit electronically and you haven’t responded to any of my inquiries. Even if you told me to go play in traffic, that would be suffice. So now, here I am writing your firm a review. I don’t understand how you can operate a business by a) not wanting to get paid b) not returning your clients phone calls/​letters/​faxes/​etc.
I hope everyone reads this post and never gives this place business. This isn’t a sustainable business model.
