I wish I could give no stars. The woman said they were unsure if they could work with the material and i said dont do anything if you cant. The gloves were lambskin and I knew full well either little or nothing could be done to clean them. She said shed call me if they couldnt work with them. Never got a call. I guess dry cleaning means«must use water» gloves arent even the same size now and one now has what looks like stapler damage at the bottom. These were my grandfathers gloves who died last year. On top of all this she still demanded I pay. I wish I could add a photo on here of the damage.

Terrible for alterations. Not to mention that after only 48 hours my clothes smelled like smoke and mildew when I brought them home. I had a maxi dress that needed a shorter hem line. The dress itself was a stretchy cotton so perhaps that it is a difficult fabric to work with but seriously this was very poor work. The hem was very uneven and in one place she completely missed the fabric, therefore not hemming it. I took my dress home and then had to bring it back after discovering this problem. You would think that she would give me a deal or something but it was still full price. The second hem was not much better but seeing as though she had already cut my dress that wasn’t really an option to not have it fixed. My husband has his clothes dry cleaned there and it works out fine, but nothing more.

Incredibly nice lady and super cheap. She fixes buttons for $ 0.50 each and dry cleans shirts for $ 2.50 and pants for like $ 3.50. Usually takes 3 days for dry cleaning but is conveniently next to North and Ashland. I visit her like every week!

I always admit when I am wrong. Connies Cleaners doesnt suck as bad as I had initially thought. I finally went to pick my stuff up, with a wad of cash, and Connie charged me way less than she had initially said AND fixed a hole in my super hot dress.(Ok, its not super hot but it makes the review more interesting.) She fixed the hole, did a great job, and didnt even charge me!!! Thats awesome. It still didnt smell awesome in there and I still hate that she did not tell me it was cash only when I came in the first time but Connie is A-OK in my book now.
