Run don’t walk! Found this place through Instagram. My boyfriend and I went to get the Oreo ice cream sandwich– it was the most insane ice cream sandwich ever. We were so sad when it was over! It was so soft and so incredible! This is an old town hidden gem! They have some other flavors as well!

I loved the variety of chocolates. The owner went out of her way to make us feel comfortable and at home. The décor is beautiful. It is simple homey modern and elegant. My husband and I really enjoyed our afternoon here. It is the perfect place to spend a chilly rainy Chicago afternoon.

Great place for fancy treats and hot chocolate. Definitely pricier, but you’re paying for quality. La Parisienne was delicious!

Really extraordinary first experience at this world of chocolate! I was introduced to this location through a company team building event; wow! Kim and her staff exceeded all expectations with the mouth watering tastings (hot chocolates, cookies, brownies, and chocolate samplings oh my!) the grand selection of chocolate, and Kim’s tour – where she hit on intriguing highlights of her insight and expertise on chocolate –if we only had more time!
I highly recommend this location — go out of your way to stop by!

Absolutely love this new addition to the hood. I work out of here in the back and the staff is always accommodating, even when I’m there for a couple of hours :). Their green tea is my fave!
They also have some yummy chocolate items, which I picked up a few as gifts for the person you want to get them something but you don’t know exactly what to get them or the price point you should spend.

I hoped for a little more out of this cute place.
For starters, it’s totally adorable, and looks like a fabulous place to find a gift. Lots of different and unique treats. There is also a little private table in the back where they do tastings, and tea, which I would totally do with friends. However– of the 3 things my husband and I tried, 2 were a bit of a letdown.
The brown butter chocolate chip cookie was AMAZING. Like… really really delicious. I would buy again in a heartbeat. No regrets.
I tried a drinking chocolate (I think the Parisienne) and honestly, it was tasty but I was underwhelmed. I expect drinking chocolate to be really thick and rich. This was more like hot cocoa. Too liquidy. I don’t know if it’s always like that but I was surprised by a) how big the cup was (usually it’s tiny) and b) how thin it was. Not my favorite. But if it was a cocoa, tasty for sure.
I also tried the s’mores stack and I did not really enjoy it. The marshmallow layer was not… marshmallow-​y. It was thicker, not bouncy, more like a cream or a nougat? I dunno. Husband also tried and agreed with me. We left it unfinished.
I dunno. It’s super adorable, and I am sure I would go back (hence the 4 stars) but I wish I loved it as much as everyone else seems to.

I was looking for a coffee spot and this showed up on my list of places to try and then I found out what real drinking chocolate should taste like… And I’m not sure that I’ll ever be able to enjoy just hot cocoa again…
Very helpful staff, nice and friendly greeting that felt very sincere, and some drinking chocolate that will literally warm you from the inside out. I had the Mayan Magic drinking chocolate which, as they described to me, was just enough to warm me and then taste the spice but not enough to put my throat in too much heat. The big thing to not here is they use top notch and local ingredients in their drinking chocolate without overpowering the chocolate.
I’m a big fan of this place in the neighborhood and completely look forward to coming back. Bravo

I only needed to try to this place once to know that I will come back over and over and over! Their chocolates are insanely good. We had the chocolate ganache brownie and the dark chocolate smores bites and both were amaaaazing. They have a vast selection of mouthwatering chocolate creations and I wanted to stuff my face with every single one but was unfortunately too full at the time. The latte was pretty good but their Mayan hot chocolate is definitely worth a try. It is rich and delicious with a nice kick to it! They are few blocks away from the Chicago History Museum so make sure to visit when you are in the area!

Came here for a chocolate tasting with a bunch of friends. It consisted of 5 pieces of chocolate made from diff variations of cocoa beans from various regions, and a cup of hot chocolate. The owner was very nice and told us many interesting facts about Cocoa, like how it actually has thousands of flavor notes, even more than wine! And things like where the cocoa was grown, the variation in the breed of the tree, the temperature and rainfall etc all affects the flavor… sadly I don’t remember most of it.
This is also a perfect place to shop for presents. They have many very nicely packaged chocolate bars and they give you a nice gift bag with your purchase. I gave a few bars to my friend’s family when I visited her and they loved it!

A fantastically pleasant surprise that my wife, son and I discovered roughly six months ago. Since then we’ve attended several more times when we find ourselves in the area. Cocoa + Co. is a warm, friendly establishment with endless wonderful chocolate products.
I must confess that I don’t remember the name of the various treats we’ve tasted, although one simply can’t go wrong with any of the delights at Cocoa + Co. I make sure to purchase a few extra chocolate bars and ship them with care packages to our daughter when she is away at university.
I would strongly recommend speaking with the owner, who is amazingly knowledgable and passionate about cocoa.

New to Chicago and never want to go to another city unless Cocoa + Co is there! My group came here after a boozy brunch to enjoy some hot chocolate. The Mrs and I enjoyed their spicy Mexican hot chocolate, my bud got the vanilla hot chocolate, and his lady picked up a latte blend (espresso, burnt caramel, sea salt, and chocolate) called Chocolate Ecstasy.
I LOVED that they let us sample each other’s hot chocolate in separate tiny mugs as they conjured up the goodness. Very courteous! I’m admittedly not crazy about the Chocolate Ecstasy. I think it’s an acquired taste because of the sea salt, but I found everything else delicious. Perfect pick-​up on a cloudy December afternoon.
If you’re in this neighborhood, please do yourself a favor and indulge!

Cocoa + Co. must be what heaven will be like. I have only had the drinking chocolate but if everything else is half as yummy, OMG you are in for a treat. The owner and staff are super friendly and love teaching and talking about all things chocolate. The shop is very cute, a great addition to Old Town neighborhood. For the chocolate lovers, you will not be disappointed.

I tried the chocolate ecstasy today and it was delicious! Hot Chocolate, sea salt and caramel. In fact, they let me have a free sample. Great customer service. So happy they are in my neighborhood.

Stumbled upon this pleasant surprise close to my neck of the woods. My favorite features of this little chocolate café: La Colombe coffee, Vegan donuts from Fritz pastry, most of the chocolate bars are DAIRY FREE, the drinking chocolates can be made with almond milk instead of dairy, and its rotating selection of soups. Thanks for being vegan friendly! I“ll be back.

Nice, European-​like coffee shop that my sister and I visited before we want to the Second city shoe. The coffee was very dark and bitter and I’m usually a light roast person so I didn’t enjoy it but my sister was a fan. They also have really cool chocolates from all over the world.

What a cute little place with relaxing ambiance. I stopped in with my mom and my aunt who were visiting. Between the 3 of us we ordered the Parisian, the Mayan Magic and the Frozen Hot Chocolate. We enjoyed all the drinks and decided the Parisian was our favorite. I also had a bliss bite, a simple spoonful two topping covered with melted chocolate, it was the perfect amount to satisfy a chocolate craving and at $ 2.50 I’m sure I’ll be back for many more spoonfuls. The staff was friendly and helpful giving us a tour of the «wall of chocolate» their unique selection of chocolate bars.

This place is a total gem! Great ambience, amazing selection of chocolates, fantastic coffee, and all the pastries are to die for! The s’more stack is so delicious and the salted caramel brownie… OMG. I was so impressed with the great selection of the chocolate bars there. The bliss bites are so fun to make and even better to eat! Love this place and will go often!

I would come back here if not just for another hot cup of drinking chocolate! The S’more Bite is basically the end game when it comes to finishing the day with a sweet treat.
The place itself is very cool, with chocolate products on tables and up on shelves surrounding the counter. There are a few seats up front to hunker down and enjoy your delectables.
Highly recommended for anyone that’s in the Old Town area!
