Citibank

Citbank sends me a letter saying I haven’t been spending as much as I used to (Well, me and the rest of this recession).
Citibank wants to know if they lowered my interest rate on their credit card, would I go out and robustly support the American economy?
I closed all credit cards that would not lower my APR: Citbank said they couldn’t lower less than 17%?
Pshaw.
I transferred the balance to a 0% Wamu card and closed the CitiCard pronto.
I’m not paying the banks because they loaned to dumb@$$es who don’t pay their bills.
Period.

Citibank rocks! I never thought that my banking would be so painless. Thanks to Citi, I don’t worry about unpleasant experiences. I visited this branch early in the morning and had great service. The teller named Carmen was nice and helpful. I managed to get my transaction taken care of in record time and headed to my other errand in the building. It’s a nice, clean, and inviting bank in a sometimes dark and dreary building.

Bye bye Lasalle/​Bank of America, hello Citibank! I switched to Citibank about 6 months ago after a long debacle w/​Lasalle (where they took 6+ months to resolve a single credit card overcharge)… I’ve been going to this particular Citibank far longer though to do various things. Now I go there and get to dip my card!
They never have lines here. They have more ATMs than god. They have a famous singer (Diane Ross) working the bank! They’re always friendly.
As a bank in general they far exceed any other bank I’ve had in terms of service. They have a ton of different account packages, and because I have a mortgage through them I get tons and tons of free benefits that other banks charge a lot of money for. They’ll make a $ 1000 check I deposit available for withdrawal *instantly* for me.
Their web site rocks, it’s actually useful… You can initiate ACH wire transfers, transfer to other accounts, and all the usual stuff on it. It’s one of the few bank web sites I’ve seen that doesn’t feel like it’s stuck in 1998.
