History

Established in 1978.

The Chicago Center for The Print was established at 1509 W. Fullerton in the spring of 1978 and still operates in the same location. Originally a printmakers collabrative where local artists could print small editions of etchings, lithographs etc. and exhibit thier work. The gallery was purchased by Richard Kasvin in 1988. At this time he closed the printmaking facility, added original vintage posters and expanded the printmakers to about 100 artists from Europe and the US.
