History

Established in 1978.

In 1978 after returning from Paris France, Bettye Odom opened a Facial Salon on 79th St. She called it Le Beau Visage. Facials were not popular at the time but after an article appeared in the Sun Times Newspaper written by Kup, as to what Bettye was doing after leaving her TV Show «Sunday in Chicago «on NBC 5, which she had co-hosted for five years, the business grew rapidly.

In 1980 the business relocated to Hyde Park and was called Odoms Cosmetique. The services expanded into Spa Services.

1985 the name was changed to Bettye O Day Spa. The Spa industry

had come to The United States.

In 2009 after 29 years in the same location, The Spa relocated to 1424 E. 53rd St. Suite 304 just around the corner from its former location.

Bettye O has always kept up with trends of the Spa Industry and any new techniques that can enhance the well being of guest of the spa.

Her belief is that visiting a spa is a NECESSITY, not just a LUXERY.
