Jerry is good at estimates. He looks confident on whatever he says. Charged me almost what my dealer was charging. So why not go to the dealer?. Initially gave a range but then charged me a whopping labor cost. For 45 minutes I was surprised with a labor cost of around $ 120. Didn’t expect. Not very reasonable at least for me.

As others have said, Jerry is pretty exceptional. We have used All Tech 3 times within the past year, and each time have experienced fantastic customer service. Jerry just seems like a genuinely good person. Honesty and prompt service are the two most important factors I look for in a mechanic, and we have certainly benefited from both at All Tech. Highly recommended!

Jerry and his crew are amazing.
Recently someone hit my car without leaving a note. I didn’t have collision insurance and in Illinois, Uninsured Motorist Coverage does not cover hit-​and-​runs. No video footage to catch the plate (c’mon, where’s a red light camera when you need one??) meant I was in trouble.
Cue Jerry, who said he could source the part (a knee joint? something like that…) from a junkyard. Insurance surely would’ve declared my car totaled, but when I got it back from All Tech it had better alignment than ever before and they had even sent it next door for a wash. All for an unbelievably reasonable price.

These guys are awesome. I was lucky to live down the street with them when my car started dying. They’ve always been able to help me out with any issue I’ve had. Jerry is my hero.
Being a girl in my 20’s, I follow the stereotype of having NO IDEA what I’m doing with cars. My old ’04 Hyundai Elantra started falling apart on me and every time I brought it in, they explained everything to me in terms I could understand. They’re very nice and give me an honest price.
I knew I could trust them 100% when my catalytic converter bailed out on me. They explained that it would be about $ 900 for parts and labor to replaced it, but then noticed that I had Wisconsin plates. He told me that my car wouldn’t pass an emissions test but since I was from WI, I didn’t need one. He told me if I was okay with the worse gas mileage that my car would be okay. Any mechanic could have, out of greed, told me I HAD to have it replaced just to get my money and I would have believed him. I was so touched by their honesty.
When my car started smoking, they said I may be out of radiator fluid, they had me go buy some and bring in my car where they showed me how to safely add it to the engine. We later realized there was a leak in the radiator and they told me they couldn’t get a new one in for a week and how much it would be. I realized that O’Reiley’s (maybe a block away) had one in stock for cheaper and they were happy to let me go down, purchase it, and bring it back in for them to install.
They’re amazing guys, with great prices and honest people — which is all you need out of a mechanic.

I have been going here for all my car repair needs since the 90’s and have always been treated fairly, had perfect service and good prices. A honest mechanic is worth his weight in gold. I will never go any place else. thx Jerry

This place saved my cars life! Understatement! The owner is very friendly, efficient, and quick!

I’m bummed we moved out of the city because I have to find another shop. Jerry and Steven, his cousin I believe, were always straight up with me in terms of what I needed to fix and what didn’t need to be fixed. I usually had a pretty tight timeline for when I needed the car back, and as long as I communicated that, they met that timeline or told me beforehand they couldn’t meet it.
The day before we moved out of the city my hazard light button went into my dashboard when I pushed it. I stopped by the shop and Jerry explained to me what was behind the dash and how I could fix it myself.
If you’re looking for a fancy place with a nice waiting room, TV, coffee, etc this isn’t the place for you. They fix cars here and that’s what they focus on, but they charge less because they do all the office stuff themselves and don’t have all those other frills, and that is totally worth it to me.

Responsive and fast. All of a sudden my car was lurching along, having trouble getting into first gear. Drove it into Firestone (right near All Tech) on a Friday afternoon, and they said they wouldn’t have a tech in until Monday. What?!?
Enter a Unilocal search, and damn, All Tech nearby for the win. Needing to head out of town the next day for a family visit, All Tech promised to run diagnostics Saturday morning, and they did!
The repair was well-​explained to me, and Jerry even showed me the worn parts when I picked up the car less than 24-​hours after I dropped it off. All Tech is alright!

This place is just a few blocks from my home. I had a small window of time and needed an oil change yesterday. They were very friendly and timely and I will definitely go back to them again for my car’s needs.

There is a reason why this place has nothing but 5 star reviews. My only regret is the many thousands of dollars I could have saved if I’d found out about this place a decade ago.
As many have mentioned, the owner’s name is Jerry, and I can’t say enough about how wonderful he is. We’ve all been through the shifty-​eyed, mumbly auto mechanic routine — they are rarely forthcoming with information, often dishonest, and usually have zero people skills. Jerry, on the other hand, is the most friendly, genuine and knowledgeable mechanic I have met. He will take the time to walk you through a given issue, explain the options, and even show you the part and explain what went wrong.
Jerry also answers the phone personally, which I imagine he has to do a thousand times a day, and is always swift with an answer as to what is going on. They are incredibly responsive and anytime I’ve dropped my car off, have called within hours (if not sooner!) to let me know what the problem was.
I have taken my car here about a dozen times and in all but one instance, gotten it back within a day at a much lower price than I expected. One time Jerry fixed the problem in less than 15 minutes (something had come detached) and sent us off with no charge. Even when I paid a lot of money to fix a large issue with an older car, I did it with a smile because I knew the work would be top notch, that I was getting the best price, and that any future issues would be covered. I will never go to another mechanic if I can help it!

Great service. We moved cross country from the west coast, leaving a wonderful mechanic who serviced all our cars. Needless to say we found a new place in All Tech Auto to fill our car needs! Jerry was very informative and polite.

You see! There are good mechanics out there! Shocking! Jerry has a customer for life now! My 2004 Cavalier had a hiccup with gauge cluster, needles stopped working after placing an aftermarket face plate on it, oops.
Was going to take to my Cav to Mike Anderson Chevy, but Unilocal reviews scared me away. I found this place, thanks Unilocal,made an appointment. Jerry told me all I needed was replacement needles & he would fix it for me. Did as instructed and the needles on my gauge cluster works like new & all for a very reasonable price, less than $ 100.
Very few honest mechanics in all of chicago & surrounding area, I am sure glad I found one & I highly recomend All Tech Auto, thanks!!!
