I have a brand new refrigerator from Frigidaire and it came with a defect. The fridge leaks water every 3 to 4 weeks — like clockwork.
Since they weren’t willing to replace my brand new defective fridge, they decided to send their «team» out to see if they could repair it — After the third rep that came out they finally figured out the problem, however, I wouldn’t necessarily call their solution legitimate. They wanted to drill holes in the back of the fridge for a tube to help properly drain the water… What?
After I kindly asked them to leave I searched for appliance repairmen and came across AAX Chicago.
I told them the problem I was having and they gave me a few things to try over the phone. After a bit of troubleshooting one of their recommendations ended up being the solution. I never even had anyone come out nor did they even charge me.
I really think that they understand the concept of taking care of people. When you exceed customer’s expectations they tend to not only think of you for next time but also refer others.
Overall my experience with them was great. Thank You All.

I am so turned off by these people that I am taking time to generate a review about them.
First of all, a technician evaluates the problem with my dishwasher and says he would return
next day to install part at 6:00 pm (No one could accommodate sooner). While I was at work
I received a call from them giving me a 3 hour window have someone home. I told them that was not my understanding and no one would be there. I get another call (same day with a 3 hour window, which I explained my position again and the rude customer service rep stated the repair tech gave me the wrong information. By this time the weekend is here. I get a called from a customer service rep who scheduled someone to by Sunday between 12 and 3.
I waited all day with a few calls in between to no avail. I must say these people are very unprofessional and rude. Also I forgot to mention, they took a $ 150.00 deposit, which I have to dispute!!! WHAT A WASTE OF TIME!!!

They are a joke. My washing machine broke recently. I emailed them telling them exactly what the problem was. They sent a guy out that didn’t even have the right stuff with him to fix it, and then charged me a $ 70 service fee for the visit. I ended up just buying a new washer because it was cheaper. The guy gave me a quote, I showed him how much a new washing machine would be, he said he would go talk to his boss to see if he could lower it at all, and he came back in with a HIGHER quote. Stay away from these people.

*Beware* An absolute circus of unprofessionalism! They Initially said their service technician would arrive between 9 & 12. Called them back when nobody arrived and they said he would be there by 1:30 at the earliest, called them back at 2:15 and a manager advised me to find another company! Who does that???

always nervous to have appliance guy come out. not sure how i got the number for these guys. called this morning, they were out within a few hours. they gave me a three hour window and also called when the tech was 30 min away. cant ask for better communication than that. technician was very good and really took his time with my kitchenaid stove. he was very careful not to scratch my hardwood floors. i was completely satisfied with the service and i will call a appliance xperts next time i need service. thx

These people are great! I have used them several times. First, for my washing machine. Second, for my dishwasher. They do a really good job & their pricing is very competitive. I appreciate that they are there when they say they will be & that the problem gets fixed right away. I will definately call them again.

Open for Service on weekends, especially Sunday, and late service up to 9 pm. Promptly answers the phone, clear communication, and quick tech dispatch. $ 70 diagnostic fee is APPLIED to work done, NOT an addition.
KEVIN was awesome. Smart and informative. Competitive. A «can do» mentality and attitude as he will gladly adjust under sink water filter to accommodate new garbage disposal.
GE PROFILE REFRIGERATOR — motherboard on hand and fixed the no cool issue in one visit, and way earlier than expected (necessary as frozen food was melting while waiting).
KITCHEN AID SS GARBAGE DISPOSAL — a result of a productive conversation. Old one kick the bucket. Competitive pricing on product. I also got a quick tutorial on how-​to-​use the manual disposal turning wrench.
LABOR COST — usually $ 140 per repair, or prorated to longer jobs.

This «repair business» won’t last. Maybe when ran by previous management in the 80’s they stood a chance.
The phone reps are rude, inconsistent and in knowledgeable. The service rep seemed inexperienced. We paid initial fee and we were told the part would be ordered n they’d be back over to fix in 2 – 3 days. When we called 7 days days later the tech was busy, rep told us our part wasn’t available and that it wasn’t there problem.
Being vulnerable and needing help shouldn’t put customers at risk. Do NOT put yourself in this experience.

Can I give 0 starts??? This company is AWFUL! I never write reviews but the public needs to know not to use them. It took 10 times as long as they said to fix the problem, which was a broken fridge. There was no communication with us, no remorse or empathy for the delay and inconvenience, and they were flat out rude. I can’t believe they stay in business! Never again!!!

Beware! Beware! Beware! They are a total rip off! I had an issue with flow out of the water dispenser from my fridge. Tech came out and pulled out a vegetable tray and slid it back in and said that he thought that the water flow was better now. What a joke. When I said it was no better than he needed to order a part which is fine. He did no diagnostics to determine anything about the issue that I didn’t already tell them over the phone. He said it would be a couple of days for the part to get in which is fine. I had to call to check to see if the part had came in. I was told that they picked up the part and would be out between noon and 3. At 2:30 I called again and they then told me that they got the wrong part and would have to reschedule. Who doesn’t confirm the part is the right part when you pick it up? I wasted a day waiting on them to come and service and then was going to have to waste another day waiting on them to come the second time. I told them that I wanted to cancel and they said that I couldn’t! Then I said okay fine come out here and I’ll write a bad review on Unilocal.So then he didn’t want to come out and service it. Then he said fine I will refund the entire amount. I said I was fine with a full refund. Then the guy just flipped out and starts swearing and says that he won’t send someone out and won’t refund the money. Currently working with credit card company on this. Then they lied and said that they couldn’t get the part that it’s out of stock worldwide. I checked and found the part on Amazon there’s a new part that replaces the old part number they’re just trying to lie to the credit card company to get part of their money.

Words can’t describe how AWFUL and TERRIFYING of a experience this was getting my washer fixed by this company!!! First, their tech named Bob came out 2 look at the washer. He said the problem was there was a faulty hose. Bob said it was a special order hose and it would take a week to get it. No big deal there, I was just a little disappointed to be with out a washer for a week, but I understood. Here is when the problems started though. First the part took two, not one week to come in because they ordered the wrong one. When the part finally did come in he came to install it and told me we had a «second «leak and needed to order ANOTHER part. That is fine, but when I asked to see the leak he wouldn’t show me. Then for NO reason at all he started screaming and yelling in my face. My only guess why is because he got caught up because I was asking to see why. Which I think it is totally reasonable to see why work needs to be done. I’m a smaller women that is soft spoken and me and my sister had a 350 sweaty man yelling in our face. This man Bob is a deranged mentally disturbed individual. I have never felt that threatened in my whole life. I wanted to call the cops. I felt physically threatened in my own home.

Techs Julio & D.J. are the BEST !!!
They came out to service my Sub Zero icemaker — had to order the parts and come back the next week. These guys are two of the best servicemen I have ever encountered to repair ANYTHING.
Julio and D.J. were professional, knowledgeable, and just GREAT guys !

This is purely based on my interaction over the phone. Rude person answered the phone. The person could not tell me an estimate past the initial service charge. I would have appreciated at least an estimate on labor even if he had told me the cost of the parts were based on what the machine needed. I am not hiring someone who can’t predict a labor charge Baer on my explanation of the problem. It leaves room for way too many surprises.

Extremely displeased. I’m a small business owner on a tight budget. I have a commercial cooler that I purchased, used, 3 years ago that stopped working. I called A-​Appliance Xperts and they were able to come out same-​day.
When the technician told me the repair for the condenser would be $ 480, I balked, and said I would probably just buy a new cooler, since that was around what I had paid for it originally and that I wasn’t confident I should continue to invest in it. He assured me the cooler was in great working order and further pushed the repair by assuring me the work was warrantied for a year.
Fast forward six weeks. My cooler is, once again, no longer cooling. This time it’s the compressor — a $ 1,200 repair. The technician himself admitted it was cheaper at this point to just buy a new cooler. But now I’m out the $ 480 that I just invested, based on this company’s recommendation.
I spoke with the manager and asked him to meet me half-​way on a refund. He gave me an apples to oranges car analogy about me replacing the tires and then having the engine go out — essentially telling me I was SOL. I replied that any trustworthy auto mechanic would have told me when it was time to junk the car, rather than investing in a cascade of expensive repairs.
I feel he should at least refund labor and the markup on the condenser, if not the entire cost, based on the poor advice I was given six weeks ago to invest in this repair.
Very poor customer service. They will not have my business for my new cooler.

These guys were called to take a look at a broken fryer. They guy spent all of 3 minutes looking at the machine and gave us a quote that was more than it would cost for a new fryer. Then since we told him we wanted to think about it he charged us $ 70 for the visit. A diagnostic consult should be free. Total rip off. Call someone else.

I recently called A-​Appliance Xperts after calling several other places, none of whom were even half as friendly or affordable. My company has a standard fridge as well as a custom Subzero beverage cooler, neither of which were cooling properly. Smelly spoiled food and unhappy people deprived of their specialty creamer ensued.
A-​Appliance Xperts sent Carlos out the next day, who was totally fabulous — he quickly identified the problem and was able to fix the main fridge on-​site with a part he already had. The Subzero cooler needed special parts which he ordered and came back to finish the repair in a matter of days. Everyone in the office is sooo happy to have a working fridge set-​up again!
I would have given 5 stars except that I had to follow up with them to schedule the second appointment — it had only been a few days, but it did sound like the parts had already come in. Nonetheless they were super helpful and got it scheduled right away — I think I called at 2pm, and Carlos was here working his magic by 10 the next morning.
Overall, super happy with this team! I highly recommend them and will definitely keep them in mind for home appliance repairs in the future.

Dryer not heating. Called this team early am, they stated between 12 – 3 closer to 12. Called at 320, told it will be a while longer. Called back and said minimum of 1 hour longer. Cancelled service.
Company did not abide by stated time nor call me to let me know it would be significantly later and I did not need to be there during stated hours. Entire day wasted with a still broken dryer. Respect for a customers time IS customer service.

If I could give these guys zero stars I would and so would you once you read this review.
I am on the Home Owners Association of my condo building and needed to find a company to repair one of our broken dryers that is approximately 5 years old; the machine stopped drying clothes. We had a similar issue last year with our other identical dryer– we had it repaired by a DIFFERENT company, they [different company] came fixed everything in 25 minutes and the dryer has been working since. Because the ‘other company’ made it look so easy, I thought I could find anyone to do the same repair. I was wrong…
I found A-​Appliance X— on Unilocal and based on their reviews I had them do our repair. Now to be fair I wasn’t there for it, but what happened is obvious– the repair person came and while trying to fix the problem removed the exhaust tubing from the dryer to the outside. Because he pulled it so hard it essentially came through the wall. He then charged us $ 250 and told us he would return with a method to repair what he broke. When he didn’t return I called the company several times to find out what was happening. After the third phone call they said they were not responsible and gave me the number to another company to fix the problem they made…
So to briefly recap–
We had a broken dryer, we called these nimrods, they broke it in a different way and charged us $ 250 dollars. They didn’t give us any type of refund or discount, but gave us the contact information for one of their competitors.

These people are the WORST !!
4 half days of work missed and range was NEVER fixed !
4 TIMES they sowed up to fix my range

1^st time they came out and ordered the part.
2^nd time they showed up with the WRONG part. (was told by owners son «This happens ALL the time »)
3^rd time a new tech showed up with no knowledge of previous tech’s visit.
.
4^th time the tech showed up to say «I dont know how to work on this range»
When I called the company I was told «It’s not our problem you took that time off of work, If you dont like it call someone else !»
The manager was VERY rude.
I was told my $ 100 deposit was «in the mail»
These people may have been in business for 30 years, but I thnk that was the last time they trained their people.
I DO NOT recommend this place, untrained techs, and rude service.
If I could leave ZERO stars I would !!
