A-1 Nails

Ok, first let me say… this is THE WORST NAIL EXPERIENCE I have ever had!
1. The place is clean but very run down. Did not give me that relax and enjoy feeling.
2. While it is cheap (I paid 10 $), it is AWFUL. The guy who works there did my nails, and it should have been the first red flag. His hands were shaking throughout the whole thing, and of course eventually the painting looked horrific. I mean you can see lines of nail polish, bubles and a while bunch of crap.
When I paid, i told them that the guy should not touch anybody, because he is terrible. The woman who took my money did not respond a single word. Non-​existent customer service.
NEVER AGAIN!
I hope other people read it and not waste their time going to this place. Very disappointed. :(((

Best deal in town. Really cheap and they do such a great job every time. Very detail oriented and friendly. If you don’t mind going to a «dive» type of place I highly recommend going here.

$ 10 for regular manicure. I haven’t heard of prices like this ever. It was as good as any manicure done at any other salon.

Love this place, i come here once a month to get a pedicure, service is great it’s a family business, they always treat me like if im part of the family, I highly recommend it!!!

Never going back again. Walked in today for a mani pedi and nothing was said. Put me in a chair. FORTYFIVE MINUTES later, no one had come over to me and said anything. I got up, dried my feet and finally got a look from someone, telling me that she was almost done with the person she was working on. I told her that I didn’t care, I’d been there for almost an hour and didn’t have time to spend another two there. What the hell? They couldn’t have told me when I walked in that it would be at least a half hour? I had a babysitter at my house that I was paying for! I just shat $ 12 out and wasted an hour of time I don’t have. NEVER AGAIN.

Even though this isn’t a fancy nail salon the place is so warm and welcoming making it my favorite place to relax and feel pampered. I’ve gotten everything from a simple manicure/​pedicure to acrylic nails, no chip manis being my favorite. All very well done. Service here is amazing, everyone is so nice and friendly. Prices are not ridiculous either and they do a perfect job everytime. I will be loyal to this nail salon for as long as I live in the city!

Actually, the name of this place is A 1 Nails. There is another nail place a few doors east, but this review is for A1, located just west of the alley at Montrose and Kedzie. This place is great. They’re super nice, reasonably quick, and the price is right.
They would get 5 stars anyway, but they really rock because they fixed 4 of my daughter’s nails when she messed them up not an hour after we left there. And, a 14 y.o. can’t possibly attend her Confirmation without her zebra manicure in perfect shape, lol. Go here, you won’t be disappointed.

I just moved to the area and I am sooo happy to find a place to get my nails and eyebrows done for a good price within walking distance! Mani-​pedi $ 30 eyebrows $ 7. Now this isn’t some posh spa, but its clean and the lady is really nice. Eyebrows are done in a back room, but it didn’t bother me she did a great job! My only reason for the lack of one star is because it is just a plain and simple nail salon, and my manicure didn’t dry completely so my nails were messed up which I am sure is my fault.
