I called up to make sure of their hours as I was driving from Clayton & didn’t want to risk them being closed. The answering service clearly stated the hours on Sat. were 12−10pm, we got there about 12:30 it said on the doors they were closed didn’t open till 5. Super. On top Of that I’ve called SEVERAL times to speak to the management about this and can’t ever get anyone on the phone! Never going back!

Our first time there and we were in love! Loved that they had Ramsay Cabernet! The house salad was super yummy as was the pasta! Wish we could come back… But we’re from Kansas. Thanks St. Louis! Best meal we had all week!

Not open on a Sunday afternoon? Wish I could review a great experience, but even though it was supposed to be open… not. Bummer. Old Spaghetti Factory, here we come.

Exceptional service. I had the shrimp risotto special and it was massive! Very delicious. Tiramisu was for the dessert and I loved it! Will return.

I get the Babbos pizza every time and I’m never disappointed. Also, the balsamic vinaigrette for the salads is one of the best I’ve had. I crave it. I really do. Sometimes I make my husband stop and pick up carryout on his way home because I’m craving my Babbos pizza and salad. Mmmmmmmm… The reason I’m giving this 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the wait staff. Service can widely vary depending upon what time you visit. Sometimes they are friendly, and sometimes they are«bothered». It’s honestly a 50⁄50 ratio. Also, the restraint can be very noisy. The acoustics are pretty bad.

Kudos to the chef who willingly put together an off-the-menu meal for little ol’ me who’s pescetarian but doesn’t eat shellfish. I enjoyed a mushroom risotto with pan seared salmon on top(suggested by our server, Sheila) and my 8Y/O daughter devoured a simply prepared Margherita pizza which was«SOOOOOGOOD!» This was our first time here and will definitely NOT be the last! Great specials. Great service. Great food.

Stopped in for lunch, awesome deal… they have a pick 2! Choose from ½ salad, ½ pasta, ½ pizza. I had the Del Pietro salad and lasagna for less than $ 12 with tax. As expected, the portion did not disappoint. Time your lunch visit accordingly as sometimes there is a slight wait.

An amazing restaurant! The salads taste great and are well prepared! I’ve been to so many restaurants all over the world and nothing can compare with this pasta! It’s that good. Definitely one of my favorite restaurants in the STL area! Definitely stop by if you love pasta like I do!

Our first visit to meet friends for dinner. Had the salad special. Added a Chicken breast. The amount of chicken added was ha-norm us! Could not eat it all. Served with good bread and butter. Service was great! Thought the portions were huge. We’ll be back!

First time here and wasn’t aware that it is a sister to Sugo’s in Frontenac. Knew immediately that I would order their Chicken Spiedini if it was available and the same recipe. It was and it was! Delicious! It’s a very casual place… the«bar» is simply a table up front with bottles of wine and glasses, etc. Their Italian bread is wonderful but arrives on a simple plate — surprised one must request butter. I also got their house salad; doubtful I’d order it again. Their house dressing should be fabulous but it’s bland, and the tomatoes weren’t prepared well. I tried my husband’s tiramisu, which was apparently the only dessert offered. I don’t care for tiramisu generally but this was very good. Imho, they should have at least one other dessert on the menu. The Spiedini was $ 15 and I had at least half to take home. We will definitely be back — pretty good service and Italian is our favorite cuisine.

My wife and I eat here semi-regularly for date-night, and it is always amazing. The food is always fresh and full of flavor, and is always cooked perfectly. Service has always been top notch as well. They have a small standard menu of traditional Italian dishes and pizzas, and then a rotating selection of weekly specials, and I’ve always been just completely overwhelmed at the quality of the food. Plus, it’s very affordable! The only thing I would caution anyone on is their selection of adult beverages. If you like wine, you are set, as they have a huge selection of wine. But if you’d like a beer, they only have three choices, and all of them are bottled. But personally, I’m ok with that, as it leaves more room for their tremendous food!

We’ve been here several times and the food and service is always good, but tonight we built our own pizza and it was wonderful! Best pizza we’ve had in awhile! And they have a good wine selection.

Started off with the bruschetta, it was very reasonably priced at $ 4 and much better then what I have had in the past at the chain brand Italian places. For my meal I got the pasta diavolo which could have been better. Needed a little more spice to it. Over all good meal.

My boyfriend and I love this restaurant. The food taste great and prices are even better. We always schedule a date night, just so we can have reason to eat here.

Babbo’s is a reasonable choice if you are in the mood for classic Italian fare in the Chesterfield Valley. It’s a relatively small and rustic restaurant, but can lack«leg room» when a bit crowded. The lunches are well-priced and portions are more than adequate for most appetites. In general, the food(from a flavor stand point) is relatively average, to be honest. Also, there are many other restaurants to choose from within a fairly short radius of Babbo’s — this fact appears to cast a bit of a shadow over them in the competition for customers. This is said so as not to dissuade you from checking the place out, but to make note that it’s easy to overlook. In conclusion, give Babbo’s a try if you are in the Valley and craving a big plate full of classic Italian fare for a fair price. I wouldn’t say Babbo’s is provides anything particularly special, but it’s not a bad place. Try it.

After enjoying several gatherings for dinner with friends, I continue to remain very pleased with the quality of my experiences overall. As several other reviewers have noted, this is a «no frills» Italian restaurant that does not accept reservations, and can become rather crowded. The food has proven to be very tasty, however, and the atmosphere is pleasant, as is the service.

So I was at Babbos and thought I was having a decent experience until the next table to me received the VIP treatment. All of a sudden there is a wine tasting going on. The strawberry field salad met the standards of a salad of that sort. Adequate greens to strawberry etc. However, the special risotto was a bit odd. Four shrimp on alot of Risotto with asparagus and squash. But the problem was my bill. First I was charged for three glasses of wine. The manager I presume adjusted my bill by the one glass then came back with a bill that was triple my total. So what started as a three to four star experience quickly crashed. Cannot recommend.

I came here with my family early on a Sunday evening. From what I’ve been told and read in other reviews, the place fills up fast and they do not take reservations. We had no wait and were seated right away by dining at an earlier time. The restaurant itself has a rustic feel to it. A large butcher block style table covered in wine bottles welcomes you the moment you step inside. Both food and wine menus are easily visible… written on large chalkboards hanging on the wall. My parents split a house salad while my brother and I chose the salad special to start our meal. It included watermelon, tomato, arugula, and goat cheese. It was very light and fresh. My mother and I both ordered the fungi pasta for our entrees. This is my mom’s favorite dish and she highly recommended that I try it. Spaghetti noodles mixed with mushroom, spinach, roasted garlic, and shaved parmesan kept the dish light with just the right amount of flavor. I understand why my mom likes it so much! My stepdad and brother both ordered specials… chicken cannelloni and red snapper served over gnocchi. Both entrees looked delicious and I heard no complaints about either dish. I would love to bring my husband to this little gem sometime. He enjoys Italian food just as much as I do, and I’d definitely like to come back and try something else on the menu.
