First time I ever went there after getting their groupon for laser hair removal, the woman burned my skin so badly!!! I had a huge bubble of dead skin and all that good stuff. This place is awful.

Do not waste your money on their groupons. They do not return phone calls, they have long wait times on the phones, and do not follow up on appointments. I am not sure if their treatments work because I felt the same the next day after my on treatment out of the 4 I never received. When I got to the place the first time, a lady had cops outside the office because she was telling people everything there was a fraud. If you were to see the receptionist, it looked like she even had a bad dose of botox on her face.
There are better ways to invest your money, I did this to see how it would turn out because a few friends were skeptical. Now, they’re happy that they do not have to waste there time or money.

I went for their bikini wax and had high hopes as they present themselves as a «medical facility». But the reality is that this place is no better –or licensed — to do wax than a local nail salon. The person that did my waxing was actually a massage therapist (sorry-​but that doesn’t make you a wax tech or aesthetician). I should have turned and ran when she played rap music as I came in the room and was popping gum as she did my wax. I was even more appalled when she finished and did not offer or have anything to clean up except some aloe gell on a paper towel. Take my advise and pay the extra to go somewhere better.

Save your money. Impossible to reach via phone, will not reply to voicemails, make you wait up to an hour after your scheduled time, receptionists are rude. Staff is unprofessional. Will not issue refunds or call you back about it. Avoid at all costs.

Inconsistent customer service, inappropriate treatment during sessions. People need supervision there!

I purchased a laser package and only went once. I scheduled my second apt but received a call that their machine had broke, they were waiting for lights to be mailed in. Aside from not being able to schedule apts easily, the model they use is one you can purchase at Target! It doesn’t appear to be professional grade since as a consumer you can purchase it at a local department type store. I wouldn’t waste your money here or at least waste it on the laser packages.

I purchase a package for laser treatment in November, by this time I should be half way done but, I only got my first treatment, since I have been trying to schedule my appointments for many weeks! I email, call, and nothing. I am going to get my money back I hope they are professional and give me my refund. I am very disappointed with this place!

When I went there for laser, I didn’t see any doctor nor did they ask the typical series of health questions that I’m used to answering at Sona Med Spa. Plus, their secretary was very snippy when I asked why they wanted my social security number (which I refused to give and they eventually caved and moved on without it (proving they didn’t need it in the first place). Plus, they never seem to answer the phone, even when my gf calls, it’s super annoying :-/​They have a second website, other than the one listed on this Unilocal page, which is also a little odd (

This business has some shady practices and refused to refund my money, as well as gave a large amount of attitude when I asked about their laser package requirements and then asked to speak to a manager.
The person on the phone kept repeating that I had missed a single appointment earlier and thereby forfeited ALL further treatments and money paid. When I asked to speak to the facility manager, she replied «I am the owner, my husband is the doctor, this IS the top!» and went on to say, «there is nothing for you here.» I remained calm and refrained from using profanities, yet she still hung up on me after telling me she will do nothing for me and I no longer have any business there (using a large amount of attitude). I had bought a laser treatment package via Groupon at a really nice price, so I was eager to use this place for maintenance/​upkeep of previously treated areas, but she stated that she won’t let anyone get upkeep treatment, only pay for full packages. She said once I crossed 4 weeks without treatment, that forfeits the money and further treatments as well.
I will never stray from Sona Med Spa again. I’m sorry Sona, please take me back!

This is my spot! I get my teeth whitened. I get B-​12 shots. They have some other cool things I want to try out. They have these medical spas on the West coast. I am glad to find one in Chesapeake. They are busy, so sometimes I don’t get them on the phone. Email them from the site and they respond every time though. They treat me well and seem to know what they are doing. Overall, it is a great spa with great customer service.

I wish I had done some investigating before I purchased the Groupon. This IS NOT an actual medical facility. These are people who take «training» courses on the various procedures they offer.
I purchased a Groupon that would give me 4 B12 injections and 2 Body wraps over the course of a month for weight loss. After calling several times and not being able to reach anyone, I finally got some on the phone (2 weeks after purchase) to schedule a 6:30pm appt on a Thursday. I was told because I was a «new patient» I needed to be there at least 15 minutes early. When I arrived at the shabby office, I was asked to fill out paperwork. I turned it in and waited, and waited, and waited. Each time someone came out they said «Next» or «what are you hear for.»
When I spoke up after waiting 30 minutes and told the gentleman I was new and wasn’t sure if I was getting anything, he took me back into a room. He did not have the form I filled out, Instead he took some notes on a pad of paper. He took my measurements, weighed me and asked what my goals were for weight loss. When I told him he said I was already doing great I just needed the B12 shot to «boost my metabolism». While he was giving me the shot, he told me I would need to come back every 4 to 5 days and if I needed a boost for appetite suppression, I could take the Addipex.
As I was scheduling my next appointment, he asked me again if I would like the Addipex. The receptionist told me I would get 2 weeks of the drug for $ 15.00. I assumed that since I had given them my form in which I listed other medications I was taking. they had read it and it would be okay to take. I bought the pills and scheduled another appointment for a week later.
I have no clue what these pills are. They definitely are not prescription Addipex. I am so glad I checked because Addipex has a potentially deadly effect when taken with one of my current meds. PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!

Don’t purchase their «PhenTabz». There is not one ounce of phentermine in them… if that is what you are looking for. They won’t refund your money and they get an attitude if you ask questions about that yet they are fine with selling you the product (funny huh??) The product is NOT phentermine nor is it almost identical, like some may believe from this marketing ploy. It is however a formulation intended to provide similar effects and results that consumers were using the original for. In that regard it is not a scam pill for the benefits you are probably looking for, but in the same breath it is not an actual Phentermine replacement on a chemical level. Once my groupon is done I will not be returning.
