Chesapeake Humane Society

I take my dog to the Chesapeake Humane Society every year for her shots. The staff is always friendly and helpful, you can tell the people working there really enjoy what they are doing and are genuinely concerned for your pet. Compared to a trip to the veterinarian’s office you can save a ton of money going to the Humane Society for routine shots and procedures such as spay/​neuter, microchipping, dental cleaning, dental extractions, de-​worming, flea and tick control, etc… The walk-​in microchip and vaccine clinics are conducted twice a week for limited hours so be sure to check their schedule online or by phone before you bring your pet.
They relocated to this location a couple of years ago and now have tons of room outside for you to walk with your pets or just to keep them out of the way if it is crowded inside the building. There is a station with bags and a pooper scooper if you need to clean up after your pet. This location is also serves as a cat adoption facility and you are able to observe the cats from the waiting room.
I am grateful for such a devoted staff working to help us keep our pets happy and healthy while also helping our homeless animal population.

I am fortunate to work for this great organization. I take great pride in what I do and I love my job. The board of directors, the staff, and all of the volunteers work so hard to help homeless animals in our area.
