the employees are knowledgeable and the prices are fair.

Very nice people and helpful but the store is low on inventory I guess Home Depot really put a hurting to the mom and pop stores it’s a sham

Great hardware store, I’ve been going there for 20 years the service is great and if you need special fasteners they have a great selection

Drove a half hour to use an Ace «one day only» coupon for 50% off one item.
Selected my item and was told at checkout that they would not honor the coupon unless I was an Ace Rewards Member. I said I was not – but could they sign me up right there at the register (as is done in every other store). They told me they could not do that!
I contacted Ace Customer Service and they contacted the store where the Manager/​Owner still refused to cooperate. I don’t understand this as generating goodwill with a customer tends to make them a return customer.
Ace Customer Service was so embarrased by this store’s lack of cooperation-​they sent me a gift card.
Needless to say I will be using the gift card and making purchases at ANOTHER Ace Hardware Store-​not this one!!!

I come to Ace as it is quite a bit closer to my home then Lowes or Home Depot. I also always try to support the smaller stores.
The people that work here have always been very friendly and helpful. They have a very good supply of plumbing, electrical and painting essentials. I have done way too many projects over the years at my house or helping my friends and Ace on Route 70 has always been great. Lowes and HD are huge but it is nice to find someone to help you and get in and out of the store right away.
This Ace location also has very good prices and a good selection of Weber gas grills. They will assemble and install the grills also on site. They make keys, cut glass, fix screens, etc. They have snow blowers, ice melt, etc. during winter and a nice selection of tools and hardware. The store is always very clean and bright.

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING THERE
My wife bought garden tools and she didn’t like them so I went to return them, apparently when the guy heard I want to return something he become all red.
I didn’t have receipt but it said ACE on tools, they wouldn’t even give a store credit.
Unproffesional and dilettante behavior.
Be warned.

Combing through what felt like hundreds of hardware stores for the Xtend & Climb collapsible ladder, I decided to try The Hardware Store. As they do not carry it in stock, I ordered the ladder on Tuesday over the phone. Their staff is pleasant. When given the choice, ask to speak with Jack. I am pleased to report that the ladder will arrive on Friday, no charge on shipping. It’s like the cherry on top :)
