Nice all ages venue, they offer a wide array of acts. Some really really awesome music can come through this funky casual venue. Some very delicious food too! I love their salad with vinaigrette and feta cheese. Check out their website or Facebook to see what events they have coming up!

I love the Matrix. It is a great meeting place for young and old alike. It feels like you are in a large comfy living room — there are couches, chairs, books, subdued lighting — very comfortable. Definitely family friendly — no worries at all about bringing in the kids. The owners are happy, friendly and helpful; the menu offers many tasty«home made» choices and the coffee is just as I like it — strong and freshly brewed. They have a website where you can see what type of music is planned and there is a game night also. Check it out!

Please note(to those that are slow): The Matrix does not endorse, encourage, or provide alcohol to anyone. i guess i should have clearly stated that i had the coffee outside when i added whiskey. Here’s the reply i got to the first review: ******************************************************************************** Sneaking whiskey into shows does neither my venue nor your band any favors. As an all ages venue in a very conservative community, we have to rely on having a reputation as being safe(as defined by protective parents) so that parents will let their kids come to the shows. Bands sneaking whiskey into the venue suggests that we are not as safe for their kids to the more protective types. Also, all ages venues that get known for allowing that wind up being shut down as a public nuisance. And as a band, you really don’t want to get known for that sort of behavior unless you only want to play house parties. Alcohol venues would get fined hundreds for someone bringing their own, and shut down for repeated offenses and I’ve already mentioned the loss of business and possible, eventual force-close if allowed at all ages venues. It’s just not worth the risk to ANY venue to book bands that get known for that. Remember Soylint Green? Anyway. It’s hardly a thing you want to be posting about yourself on Unilocal and I think a 1 star rating with only the comment«they don’t serve alcohol,» might treat my venue better than the 4 with that line at the end. Couldn’t you just have whined that you couldn’t buy booze at Matrix? ********************************************************************************

The Matrix was created to provide a positive venue for teens in the community to have a place to go and enjoy music. It is not just for teens though, some nights have music for older/younger crowds. The space is cool too, a wide variety of seating and books.
