Torella’s Chicken and Pizza

Anything short of a 5 star review on here is a travesty and has never tried a chicken finger wedge. This old carryover from the chicken pizza works days has been as solid as it’s ever been for almost 20 years. Chicken fingers with tangy sauce tucked in a crusty cheese filled death blanket of dough. Just get it, and then modify these ill-​informed other reviews. We cannot allow this injustice to stand.

Great pizza. Pizza is always very warm and delicious. Actually just got a white pizza no less than 20 minutes ago! Customer Service is excellent and home delivery is fast! Well, I don’t live that far away from the place… But still it’s fast delivery I guess! One of the best pizza places on union road if you ask me.

maybe i just need to start writing about GOOD food. id have much less to write. forget the fact that im a crabby old man that bemoans the loss of quality of days gone by and that its real obvious that these days PEOPLE WILL EAT ANYTHING. bottom line is this was the worst.
im used to the Pizza Hut phenomenon where they somehow airbrush the cheese on to effect a cheesy look with no actual topping but this took the art to new heights. any and all cheese of note was (as is becoming the standard these days) was all glommed in the middle. Its come to the point where i decided that from now on, whenever i order a pizza, im going to have to specifically instruct that cheese be spread right up to the outer crust. So, more than half the pizza was garbage (or bread, which aint pizza to me)
we also ordered the «battered» chicken wings. the coating was indescibable. i spent the whole evening last nite with this on the back of my mind in effort to relate exactly what the texture was like. i finally realized that i had never had anything in my mouth with this weird hard yet not crispy but at the same time thick and chewy texture… i imagine it might be very like gnawing on fried roofing shingles.
Now i love me some chicken wings and will eat a bad one, a cold one, an old one or whatever. Suffice to say this is the first time in my life i EVER threw a wing in the garbage, let alone pretty much a full order.
