Straddling Fort Mountain and commanding a breathtaking view of the Chattahoochee National Forest and the Blue Ridge Mountains, the Overlook Inn Bed and Breakfast was designed to take full advantage of its magnificent surroundings. Its rustic exterior blends into the environment, yet conceals elegant lodging accommodations.
Guests at our North Georgia (GA) Bed and Breakfast Inn sleep in richly appointed guest rooms – each with a different personality and unique amenities like private porches, hot tubs, gas fireplaces, and a spectacular mountain view. Included with your room is an elegant 3-course gourmet southern breakfast, daily afternoon coffee and tea with homemade confections, a wine and cheese tasting on weekends, and candlelight dessert each Saturday night.
Our B&B is located in North Georgia (GA) on top of Fort Mountain, between the mountain towns of Ellijay, Georgia and Chatsworth, Georgia, and near the mountain town of Blue Ridge, Georgia.
History
Established in 2001.
The Overlook was the site of what the locals refer to as the old «Rock Museum», where some of the finds from the interesting geologic rock formations in the area were displayed.
Meet the Business Owner
Mike and Lynn A.
Business Owner
Mike & Lynn are both natives of Nebraska. Lynn comes from a long line of farmers and cattlemen, several of whom are still at it. She is a graduate of the University of Nebraska at Lincoln and received a graduate degree in Science and Education from the University of Nebraska at Kearney. Mike grew up in the Los Angeles area of California after his dad’s service in the Navy stationed at Camp Pendleton, but eventually his family found their way back to Nebraska. Mike is also a Husker alum and is a Registered Nurse by trade but a fisherman at heart.
Their busy lives before coming to North Georgia led them to appreciate «down time», and how sacred it is. In their own travels they discovered «The Joys of the Bed and Breakfast», and feel blessed to have found The Overlook Inn. As Innkeepers, they hope pass along that joy to everyone who comes up the front sidewalk, into this truly special place at the top of the mountain. They hope to see you soon.
