They said they would match prices but when I found a cheaper service for $ 80 instead of their $ 100 charge to change the screen on an iphone, they would not honor their word.

So let me begin by saying that I know not much about computers really, I had an hp dv9000 that just totally would not turn on. (Apparently it was the video chip) I had been looking for someone to help Me with this issue and with no luck, I turned to Unilocal and boy am I glad I did. They were amazing, extremely quick and was ready the next day. They even replaced a few missing keys in my keyboard and fixed my no working wifi at no charge. They were very helpful and nonetheless very inexpensive compared to other places. Unfortunately, my computer gave out a second time I quickly called them again and Jean was totally helpful and honest he explained that due to the lack of hp manufacturing, apparently that model has that recurring issue with the video going out and it’s something not worth getting fixed. I really appreciated the honesty and the fact that he could’ve said just fix it but he was extremely helpful and gave me a few tips on what to do to save what’s on that computer (hence I’m not very computer literate) he even took out the hard drive for me and wrote down the info I needed. Thank you guys I have nothing but good things to say and definitely recommend to anyone looking for help or advice with they’re computers.

I thought my computer had a serious problem. I took it in — and they found out immediately that it was just a bad power adapter! Awesome simply $ 20 solution! Thankful these guys were honest and smart enough to test the adapter before taking things apart and charging me unnecessarily. Great service! If I ever do have a serious issue Ill be back there.

Super helpful and friendly. My lcd screen cracked on my Sony laptop. I found them on here on Unilocal.They had the part in stock and replaced it in a matter of hours. This place is great and very reasonable.

I’ve been to these guys twice now in the span of 3 days and each time they’ve solved my problem.
The first time I went in with my pc trying to get the motherboard out of the case. Turns out there was a problem with the threading in the case that did not allow the standoffs to come out easily. They fixed the problem.
The second time my pc won’t post after I rebuilt my system and they found out that I plugged a fan into the wrong header after they tested out all the parts in my pc. I guess this one was due to my carelessness, but I’m grateful for these guys. If anything happens in the future PCR will be my go to guys.

My laptop was sick. It had some evil virus that made all types of windows pop up when I was online. I took it to PCR and it’s all better now. The price was much less then the big name stores. I know, less is a relative term. To be upfront, the big name stores wanted $ 140 for virus/​malware/​spyware removal and Preferred Computer Repairs charged $ 80. What a savings! The service was excellent in ever way. It took less then 24 hours from the time I dropped it off. I recommend this place without hesitation. Thanks Unilocalers for helping me find a doctor for my computer.

I agree with all the five star reviews. I went there with my laptop thinking it had a virus.
Darren just pushed a few keys and returned Bios to their original setting.
He did not charge me.

My kid’s macbook pro just shut down and stopped working, his finals were coming up and he had to complete half-​finished video and written projects due before, so I needed to ether get the computer fixed or at least get the information from hard drive in maximum of two days.
After a frustrating wait at the genius bar, where I received a set of confusing $ 300-​$ 500 possibilities to take care of the problem and no reassurance it will actually be taken care of within two days, I ended up looking for an independent service.
The reviews on Unilocal for this company seemed too good to be true, But I guess miracles do happen, and I fully agree with every 5-​star review. These guys are super professional, fast, efficient, modest, trustworthy, not only they fixed the problem at fraction of the cost, but also made sure to avoid the possibility of the same happening again, and the computer was with me the very morning after, clean and like new. These guys are god’s gift to the planet in my opinion, if only every service was like that everyday life would be so much more pleasant.

Up until recently I had my iPhone 4 in a protective case. Two days after taking it out of the case I dropped it and crack the back of my iPhone. I checked Unilocal for a good repair store near by and found this place. I was in and out in less then 30 minutes and my phone was like new. Excellent service and only paid $ 20 bucks.

my laptop screen was blacking out on me constantly. i had a great deal and got it fixed. i was being updated on the status of my laptop and was able to get back to my studies faster than expected
my iphone was also cracked and i had them change it i was done and out in less than 20 min.

Dropped my desktop off at noon on Tuesday. Would not load windows. Fixed and ready to go by noon in Wednesday. Very reasonable price and he loaded in an anti– virus program as well. Great service and great price. Highly recommended.

Went here today to have them look at an old eee machine that was having internet connectivity issues. They took a look at my machine (i had unknowngly brought it in with the battery dead and no charger. They took the time to search for a charger for this old machine. I was actualy suprised they had it) they oferred me a fair price to make the repairs but the value of the old machine just didn’t make it worth it. The tech was very honest about that and recommended that I not bother to do the repair. Though I have yet to have anything repaired by them, their honesty and customer service was so refreshing that should I need anything in the future, I know where to go!

I trusted the reviews on Unilocal,and they didn’t let me down. I was pleased with the level of service and the speed that Darren got my laptop fixed and cleaned! He gave me a few phone calls to keep me updated on my repairs and kept his reasonable pricing!

My laptop’s screen was having issues and kept blanking in certain positions. I dropped my computer off yesterday and it was ready today (so I can get back to work — yay!). Fast and professional service with competitive repair rates! Thanks Darren!
